I have eaten here a couple of times! The food and environment is great! Friendly staff and the place was spotless (very important)! So excited cactus is on the menu! Some people will get exposed to eating cactus for their first time, which is neat since this is an authentic and long standing tradition in great Mexican food. I had the Chicano Panini, AMAZING! I'm not one for too spicy and this was just done right! A hint of spice to spike your senses, but not too much to dull out the flavors on everything else. The potatoes with peppers were just melting in my mouth, delicious! STRONGLY recommend their MIXOLOGY BAR, OMG GENIUS! The Regulator my favorite, but the Derailleur oooh soooo tasty (can't wait to try the rest)! It is a perfect place to start the morning or lounge for lunch; while catching a game are you kidding me? My husband and I had lunch Friday afternoon, I had the biscuits and gravy and my husband had the red mountain burger. The home made biscuits and gravy was the best I've ever had and the burger had such a great flavor. We were there a couple months ago when they first opened and it seemed like they had problems, we decided to give it another try and I'm pleased to say we are glad we did!.. The general manager, who I thought was the owner, came to introduce himself to us.. As I watched him walk around to each table asking how their food was and introducing himself.. I thought wow you don't see that from a manager anymore. He was very professional and made you feel very comfortable . Have eaten there 3 times. Food has been fantastic and I am a rear fussy breakfast person since I was brought up in the restaurant business. I usually go at 8:00 am on Sundays and I get lucky with the same waitress Jamie. She always has a smile and get our drinks immediately while we look at the menu. She takes our order and before you can get settle in the breakfast is on the table. Best pancakes you ever want to eat. The orange juice is freshly squeesed on site, and the coffee is great. Even is I had to wait it would be well worth it.. I rather eat at a place that is business and wait before eating at a place where you sit immediatly and they are not busy. I'm so grateful to finally have a Breakfast and Lunch restaurant in Mesa of the quality you would only find in Scottsdale. This place is just delicious! they have a juice bar, they squeeze fresh in front of you oranges that give an amazing aroma and delicious orange juice. Chef Gabriel Garfio has to be one of the youngest, talented, creative and business saavy individuals running any restaurant in Mesa today. He's dishes are fresh, tasty and well presented. The Executive Chef is part of the owning family, so their name goes out on every plate served, which is great incentive for them to exceed expectations; And they do! The menu is diverse and well planned, This is not your run of the mill breakfast stop. This is a great place to take someone you wish to impress, or THE place to catch a great meal. I was here with my family the day before Mother's Day for a special breakfast - and Sunnyside delivered not only five-star service, but the food was outstanding as well! There are items here I've never seen anywhere else - eggs benedict with salmon/avocado - hello deliciousness! The coffee is really good too, and the juice-varieties you can mix is unlike any other breakfast place I've seen. The staff were attentive, genuine and professional. This is such an underrated breakfast spot! The food is extremely well portioned, delicious and fresh! The service alone is one of the best experiences I have ever had, they are more than polite, professional, and helpful with any questions! I have always been satisfied and full after coming here and crave it as soon as I leave. Their curly fries are to die for! My wife and I just had breakfast at Sunnyside. Great place to have breakfast! My wife had the Dever Omelet with a cinnamon pancake. Way more food than she could eat. i had the chilaquiles and they were fantastic. We appreciate the chefs! Food was cooked to perfection! Our coffee cups never ran dry, service was EXCELLENT! I visited Sunnyside for the first time yesterday and it did not disappoint. I was prepared for a bit of a wait, it was busy as expected, but the wait wasn't unreasonable for a Saturday morning. Everyone from the hostess, waitress, to the owner who stopped by our table to welcome us was so friendly. Our waitress was attentive, knowledgeable and efficient. The Sonoran crepes were excellent. The result was...interesting. The chorizo was good, although it leaned more toward an Americanized version than the deeply seasoned, distinctly Mexican chorizo I was expecting. Still enjoyable, just a different flavor profile than anticipated. Overall, though, the meal was good, and there are several other things on the menu that caught my attention. That is usually the best indicator that we will be back: when I leave already knowing what I want to order next time. And now, Sandy deserves her own paragraph. She was wonderful. Sweet, personable, clearly hardworking, and attentive without hovering over us like she was conducting a federally funded breakfast surveillance operation. She checked on us an appropriate number of times, was helpful with recommendations, and genuinely seemed to care about our experience. We waited until 11:31am to be seated, and were seated INSIDE? No one was outside. We figured there must not be anyone available to work patio. Our food came out, but we didn't have silverware or our drinks (Morning Meditation and Blazing Dragon). My husband had to get up, go to the bar, and ask for silverware. We had water and my daughter had her apple juice so we went ahead and started eating. Our waitress came by and asked if we needed anything else, we asked, "Can we please get our drinks?" She went to get them and they were fairly watered down from the melted ice by that point, but they were still good. My food was okay. And while eating his pancake he said, "Why does it taste burnt?" His top pancake looked fine, but when we picked it up, the second pancake was burnt. Our waitress took it away. The pumpkin donuts were exceptional. My daughter liked her pumpkin pancakes, but she didn't understand why they put chives on her eggs. I told her probably because pumpkin pancakes were not on the kids menu, but we can let them know no chives next time. We were about to leave when we looked outside and they were seating a family of 6ish people. Maybe they got someone to come in? Overall, it was busy, there were some kinks... the food was alright. Their decor is Indiana University memorabilia, and it hasn't been difficult to get seated during peak hours.

Today I ordered two Market Hashes, one with basted eggs and one with over easy for takeout. My basted egg was like an over hard egg which is not what I expected. Lots of potatoes, not enough veggies. Food was super salty, I couldn't finish my dish.
