Sunright is one of my rotating milk tea places. I've tried a few sunright locations in southern and Northern California - they definitely have their consistency down. My usual drinks: - Oolong cheese or Jasmine cheese: I love the cheese foam texture. It's super thick and flavorful. I either drink it with the sipping portion of the lid or mixed in with a straw. Either way, the cheese foam pairs nicely with the tea. The cheese series are cheese foam with teas (not milk teas). I usually get 50% sweet since the cheese foam and boba adds the sweetness to the drink. - Oolong milk tea: 7/10, I usually get this when I want an oolong taste without the cheese foam. Usually get this 50% sweet because their drinks can be on the sweeter side. - Matcha oolong milk tea: 8/10 - if you like matcha and oolong milk tea, this is a perfect drink! I've heard about Sunright from a friend's social media story, and it definitely lives up to the hype! This tea shop's drinks are as delicious as they market them to be! I could already tell from the quality of their cups that this drink was going to be good. Normally in a milk tea, either the milk or tea overshadows the other, but Sunright nailed the perfect ratio. I opted for a Taro Milk Tea with cheese foam. They swirl fresh taro, which was subtle but sweet, all around the cup, and the salt from the cheese complimented the milky taste. I was also pleasantly surprised that I didn't get a headache from the caffeine, as I do with most milk teas. In a huge plaza with plenty of other shopping and restaurants, this the perfect pit stop or treat while running errands or the cherry on top to your meal. You'll easily find parking in this huge lot. They also have plexi glass setup at the counter and a tablet for you to order, gloves and sanitizer for customers provided, for a safe minimal contact experience. I ordered 75% sweet and less ice and it was perfect. Grapefruit Jasmine tea. Very pulpy and very delicious. My friend ordered Sunright Fruit Tea the same way and it was pulpy and delicious. It has orange and lemon. Highly recommended if you can be really patient if are behind someone that doesn't know how to use a self order kiosk. If you see a family with little spawnlings, just walk out. You'll be waiting for an hour. Let me preface this by saying I've had lots of boba in SoCal, Seattle, Portland, and Taiwan. I drink boba at least 4 times a week. Sunright is my new favorite boba chain and has set a new standard of franchise boba for me. I've been to multiple locations, including Arcadia, Rancho, Rowland Heights. They've all been consistent, especially their fruit teas. My go-to is the grapefruit yakult, especially after dinner when you're craving boba but need it to be caffeine-free. Their 100% is a little too sweet for me, so I go for 75% for fruity ones and 50% for the milky ones. For milky drinks, I like the four seasons latte and taro milk tea. Although milky, four seasons is light with a distinct tea taste that makes it really good with either brown sugar or honey boba. The taro milk tea is made with a swirl of taro puree that is somehow also not too heavy. Their boba is on point. The honey boba, especially, is chewy and springy with the perfect amount of sweetness and a hint of honey. The amount of boba is proportional to the amount of tea. Small tip: use their Toast Takeout app to order ahead of time to skip the lines and get points! read more

This is my favorite boba shop to date! I've been here quite a few times, maybe even for consecutive days...But this place is seriously the best! You get high quality drinks that are priced accurately and unique flavors. They take online orders as well as walk-ins. However through my experience, walk-ins are faster than online orders (unless there are a lot of people in store). For online orders I believe the wait time is 10-15 minutes while walk ins will start right away. Again this will depend on how busy it is. The walk in order process is also a self serve kiosk. Meaning customer service is as limited as possible, which is good thing during a pandemic. So far I've tried the matcha milk tea, panda milk tea, and regular milk tea. All were amazing but matcha has got to be my favorite. You can also customize all the drinks however you like, ice level, sweetness level, etc. Overall, love love love this place. My sister ordered the plum four seasons tea with 25% sugar because she does not like sweet drinks at all, but she liked the flavor and sweetness of her drink too. I did see some small cups, but I'm not sure if that's for the kid's menu or some drinks just come in a smaller size. Love that they add actual fruit in it so you actually get some orange pulp at the bottom and the sweetness was exactly what I wanted! Sunright describes like so: " Creamy butterscotch Hokkaido house milk combined with our Ceylon tea." But honestly, I got caramel vibes. Probably had to do with the boba. At home I drink quite a bit of both black and green tea. This tea seemed to be a bit more medium-bodied. Our girls both enjoyed the jasmine milk teas with boba ($4.90). We all agreed that their brown sugar boba was yummy and chewy. No tough pieces or nonsense! The husband really enjoyed his Coffee Oolong Milk Tea ($4.95) made with regular milk. The place is brand spanking new so it's clean and tidy. The crew was working diligently to get online orders, walk-ins, and deliveries made. I could have called them to have my order brought out to us curbside, but I wanted to check it out and stretch my legs before the drive back home. I love Sunright but this location was a disaster! I visited this location after lunch and there was quite a line (not sure why there were so many people at a boba shop at once), but I didn't expect to have to wait this long. I watched from the sidelines as throngs of people were impatiently waiting for their drinks. I could tell the staff was overwhelmed by the orders, and were cranking them out with a vengeance, but still not putting drinks together in a timely manner. I watched as one man complained that his drinks that he ordered online were supposed to be ready at 12:50 and it was already 1:10 and most of his order wan't prepared. I observed other patrons get part of their order, but the other part of their order wasn't ready. Dozens of cups were half filled on the counter waiting to be filled by something else and sealed. Whatever their system is, it's broken and they need to figure out a better way of filling orders. After a half hour of waiting, I checked in with the cashier only to discover that she didn't have my order tickets on any cups, which means they hadn't started on mine yet. After watching another gentleman request to cancel his order, I decided to do the same and cancel my order and go to another boba shop. Never have I ever cancelled an order at a boba shop, and I hope to never have to do it again! read more

They were fully staffed and were very efficient with orders. 10/10 I love their mango frosty. It comes with mango jelly and I loved it with boba. You can adjust your sweetness as well. I visited on 11/17/23 at 7 pm and ordered two boba milk teas with grass jelly. Unfortunately, both drinks were missing the boba. When I brought this to their attention, they DID NOT apologized but offered to remake the drinks. However, their idea of remaking them involved pouring out half of the tea and jelly, causing a mess that left the cups sticky and the table splattered. To make matters worse, when I inquired about the sugar levels in the drinks, ( I ordered different kind) the staff couldn't distinguish between them due to the mix-up because she removed the label when the milk tea leaking out. She suggested me to try both before giving out to my friend. Wow!!! This kind of mind set made me concerned about hygiene practices at the store. Additionally, I noticed that the working station was quite messy and the staff seemed inexperienced, lacking proper knowledge about their tasks. This place is such a treat! Stopped by here after dinner - was in the mood for something sweet and refreshing. Upon entering there is a touchpad for you to place your order on, with an in-depth menu including the options to add/remove items (like boba, cheese foam, and jelly) or change sweetness level. I really liked this and felt it streamlined the ordering process. The menu was amazing, literally everything sounded good so it was hard to decide. We settled on the strawberry frosties, which were like a cross between a slushee and smoothie with delicious cheese foam swirled throughout. They had a super pleasant, smooth texture - no icy lumps getting stuck in your straw or watery stuff building up at the bottom that you often see with ice blended drinks. And that cheese foam was to die for, I'd personally even add extra next time. Not too savory, just the perfect amount of slightly salty, rich "cheesy" flavor. Second time at this location and something went wrong with the mochi tonight 9/12. Understandably this is a busy location but not sure why mochi were prepped in cups in the fridge?
