The pancakes were loaded through and through with blueberries in every bite. My husband went with the corned beef hash (his personal fav) and said it was good and it was clearly house-made. Food was out quickly and we enjoyed our meal. Right in the middle of town and clearly a popular spot with tourists, I can see how this can be a loooooong wait during the summer.

It came with fries, but I had my fill of fries with all the lobster rolls I had ordered along the way, so I didn't eat them. Plus, there was a slice of blueberry pie calling out to me, so I wanted to blow my calories with the pie... and so glad I did cuz it was another spectacular piece of blueberry pie. Against my will, I split it with my hubby. Lol. It was a great way to end our meal. (Turns out we never got dinner that night cuz we were so full from such a nice lunch.) They were good with some butter and maple syrup. Service was ok they were busy but seemed to be bit hectic and disorganized. Overall, it's a ok breakfast spot. Not particularly better than typical breakfast restaurant. I suppose the name everyday joe's fitting for this restaurant.

I recently visited Sunrise Cafe, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. Located perfectly on the pier, the atmosphere was both relaxing and picturesque, offering a stunning view to accompany my meal. The crepes were simply the best I've ever had - light, perfectly cooked, and filled with delicious ingredients. The coffee was outstanding, far surpassing any other coffee places in town. It was rich, smooth, and brewed to perfection. Service was prompt and friendly; my order was ready in just a couple of minutes. The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making sure I had everything I needed. What truly impressed me were the huge chocolate cookies and the enormous cinnamon rolls. They were both delectable and a delightful treat to indulge in. Overall, Sunrise Cafe exceeded all my expectations. It's a gem on the pier, and I can't wait to return! read more

I was in town for a week and I had breakfast at other coffee shops as well but I found Sunrise Cafe at the top of the list! I even went there for lunch and had their lobster crepe, AMAZING! Unfortunately for my husband and I, we chose to try our first lobster roll ever here. I'm not sure how to compare It to what might have been a great lobster roll since the experience ruined lobster rolls for us after that. It was like lobster slimy skins in a mayonnaise like sauce slapped on a piece of bread. Disgusting! Going back home to the Midwest to not rave about lobster rolls. read more

Located across from the Bar Harbor airport with plenty of parking available in their lot. It's a smart location for those going to or leaving Bar Harbor. Once inside you are greeted with many local made goodies and Maine themed items before you even reach the counter to order. Looking up the large menu greets your eyes to their vast amount of options. Thankfully we had eaten breakfast already so we did not need to browse and decide for too long. It gives us another reason to return though to give the food a try. They appeared to offer all the drinks you would expect a coffee spot to including a smaller selection of monthly specials. These specials usually are what my wife and I go for due to their uniqueness. Which speaking of flavors they may have had the largest selection of flavored syrups I have seen before. I ended up getting their Teddy Graham Iced Latte while my wife got the Peeps Cold Brew. Size wise we both got large and I will say they are not lying by calling their size a large, they are massive. Will keep that in mind if we return. Seating wise they appeared to have some cozy looking booths that looked to be spots some people were working from home. Then a couple tables and then some stools as well. A great coffee stop that was unplanned but would plan a return visit!

Very average breakfast burrito. The avocado toast was not avocado toast. It was avocado bread. They never toasted it. Hopefully this was a one-off and the place is more in line with the positive reviews.

I was really hoping for BANANA AND....STRAWBERRY!! since that is what it says on the menu. Could I taste any strawberries? Hell no! LOL! I swear they charge you $10 for a few bananas they blend up with like 2 tiny strawberries. They do have to have the pink color in there to make you think you are getting what you ordered....because why would you want what the menu says?? Crazy thought, huh? hahahah! The smoothie was gross. Yes, bananas are good for you, they are good in a shake, but just a shake that tastes like....all banana...nah, not for me. For me, thats gross. So just keep that in mind.
