Double fried egg sandwich with Taylor ham and American cheese
    John D.

Great little breakfast shop less than 5 minutes from where we are staying. I had the Double fried egg sandwich, added Taylor Ham and American cheese on a roll. It was very good. My wife had the 2 fried eggs with a side of sliced avocado. She said this would be her top breakfast stop this week. The staff was friendly and the food came out quick. We sat outside at the picnic table.

An unassuming delicatessen with a few indoor tables and several outdoor tables with umbrellas. The service is friendly and accommodating. I ask for very hot Chai Tea, and that is exactly what I got, with a smile. The location of the eatery was set back from the main street of town closer to Sagamore road.

The first thing I saw was the balcony g coffee roaster and the smell of beans.. they have sandwiches, paninis ,and breakfast. I had a monte cristo and my sister had a grilled chicken with avocado. The service was a little slow but we spent the time watching the dog next door chase a squirrel. The food was good and generous for the price

The shrimp were overcooked but the scallops were perfectly cooked. The Burrata was just ok, a little watery/curdy. It's an odd combination so I had to try it. The Caprese had spinach and roasted red peppers on it. Staff were excellent!! Server, helper, hostess They have nice gluten-free and vegetarian menu options so a whole star for that! Wine selection was decent. They had some non-American options by the glass (American wines give me a headache!) They do not have a full bar. They have some special cocktails but all were too sweet for my keto diet. Olive oil on table was past its prime. This really should be brought out fresh for each new customer, not left on he table ho absorb the sun and heat. Ample parking This is a well-cared-for restaurant in a tough market so kudos to the owner.

We didn't have to wait long. I think maybe like 10 minutes. It's a small quaint restaurant on Phila Street not far off of Broadway. We walked here from our hotel (Hilton) as parking anywhere/everywhere in Saratoga can be a challenge. There is street parking right in front of Sweet Mimi's but it'll probably be taken so you should probably just walk. And you'll appreciate the walk to help burn off a few calories of Sweet Mimi's delicious offerings. (And there are plenty to partake in.) We enjoyed the Cinnamon Roll French Toast and the Mediterranean Omelette. We did not leave disappointed. In fact, our tastebuds and tummies were so happy with our choices. The omelette actually came with the same challah bread that the french toast was made from. If I lived closer, I'd be buying that challah bread every week. It's so freakin' good! The french toast is HUGE! Really... you should share it. The several bites I took were incredibly satisfying. The cinnamon was just right. And because it was already sweet... we opted to forgo the syrup. The french toast also came with a bunch of blueberries, blackberries and raspberries!! The med omelette was filled with sausage, spinach and tomatoes. I loved every bite. I don't know when we'll be back tin Saratoga... but I will definitely be coming back to Sweet Mimi's when I do.

And, yet. On a recent trip to the Glens Falls area I ordered the same breakfast sandwich from Spot Coffee three mornings in a row. All the mornings I was in the area in fact. It was called Mike's breakfast sandwich. And, look. I don't know who Mike is--but his taste in breakfast sandwich toppings? Top notch. I got mine on a plain bagel and it comes with egg, provolone, and cream cheese. It's almost poetic in its simplicity. And, sheer perfection. They also have coffee, of course, which I very much enjoyed as well. Each morning I got one of their specialty lattes. One morning I got their spiced cookie latte and the other two mornings I got their frosty mint mocha. Both were fabulous and I was able to sub almond milk, which was great. I ordered delivery and they packaged everything beautifully and it arrived still quite warm. Thank you Spot Coffee for making this girl's winter work travel just a skosh more warm and welcoming. Get to it!
