An unassuming delicatessen with a few indoor tables and several outdoor tables with umbrellas. The service is friendly and accommodating. I ask for very hot Chai Tea, and that is exactly what I got, with a smile. The location of the eatery was set back from the main street of town closer to Sagamore road.

After labor day this was the only place serving breakfast food and coffee! It was perfect. The home made biscuit breakfast sandwich and latte were excellent. The service was friendly, easy and quick! We sat outside and enjoyed the fabulous warm fall weather and enjoyed our food!!

The hostess wouldn't let us separate our group of 6 into two smaller tables of 3. Even if we offered to keep the tables and checks separate. They ended up being able to seat us right away. Then we waited 45 minutes for our food while watching 3 tables come in, order and eat before us. When I asked the hostess where the food was and told her that people were sitting and eating before us, she said well maybe their order went in before yours. I'm not sure how she was unapologetically implying it was our fault. We waited quite a bit longer for our food. We had to get our own take home boxes and go inside and ask for the check. They should have comped the whole bill but comped our drinks and took 20% off. Insufficient. Even though we got no service unless it was bad service THEY ADDED A 20% GRATUITY. Go to The Shack for breakfast.

I had an omelet off of the Specials menu with Pineapple, ham and mozzarella...Basically a Hawaiian Pizza but in an omelet. Very good, if you like Hawaiian Pizza. The home fries didn't have much color to them but we're actually cooked through and tasted good With a nice texture. The only draw back was our server, while efficient, had like in the way of people skills. Every interaction was as short as possible. Not bad, just not good. Lots of items to shop for if you are a tourist.

We finally decided to try out S&S and I found it good, but not worth the 5 stars everyone gives it pancakes = well cooked, round, pretty standard. don't get 4 pancakes unless you want be in a pancake induced coma. also, they put a literal small ice cream scoop size of butter on the pancakes. Only IHOP does that and it's way too much butter. If you are eating all of that butter, you might need an extra dose of lipitor. Toast = kind of boring S&S pancakes = kind of tasted like pancakes with cinnamon sprinkled on top. Home fries = those were good I was there with two 16-year olds who both thought the food was "mid". I did see a small girl sitting with plate in front of her that had a waffle with ice cream and whipped cream piled so high, that it was almost as tall as her. Her eyes were huge and she was trying to figure out where to start. That waffle looked pretty good and as I passed the table, her dad was leaning in to "help out and keep the plate clean". They sell a lot of baseball hats and t-shirts.

Staff were super friendly and eager to help. The vibe was very laid back and I can't count how many times I heard them say "take your time" as my wife and I tried to decide on what to get. We decided to go with French toast for me, the eye opener burrito for her, and a side of loaded home fries. The food came out hot and the portions were VERY generous. Could not finish everything even though it was DELICIOUS. If you are in the area during the week I would recommend stopping. They do have notes on the door that indicate weekends have long wait times.

The first day we tried, it was just too hectic so we went somewhere else. The next day, we were able to get in within a few minutes of waiting. We were greeted promptly and provided with menus. I opted for Benny goes To Cali (omelette with surimi crab, tomatoes, etc.) and hubby went with veggie omelette. I was definitely expecting the omelette to be decent - nope. I do not recommend this combo. As for hubby's omelette, he didn't lie it either. Our server was at least great. Sorry, Ugly Rooster, but the diners we have here in Maine would kick your butt.

I have visited this cafe over the last few months and have loved trying their new items they always seem to have. My boyfriend regularly enjoys the breakfast burrito and we have a pastry and apple butter to try soon as well! We always felt welcome there, as it is great place to sit and relax. I also love that they host weekly events, the owners seem very involved in the quality of what they sell and the environment they do it in.. Ps: I also just tried the asparagus soup and nettle crisps, and I will be thinking about how good it was later... wish I got a bigger bowl! Thanks Jason and Janice
