We arrived at the Sunrise cafe after 8 AM and it's already busy inside, but not full. Looks a neighborhood joint of locals. The grilled cinnamon roll sounded yummy, but there weren't any pics to tempt me and it didn't seem like a fan favorite order item, since no one in the diner had ordered it. Staying a bit healthier, since I am not particularly hungry this morning. There about 5 booths, 4 counter seats and 8 two tops. It's tight ship in here. Dawn is waiting on us this morning. She's attentive and pleasant. Ordered a house coffee, the signature banana nut oatmeal, build your own omelette: chicken, mushrooms and jalapeño; which comes with two sides: hashbrowns with added green pepper and onion and cottage cheese and a side of turkey sausage. $29.42 The oatmeal comes out in a small Greek salad bowl. It's not too bad. Added brown sugar and some more cinnamon, since it's a bit bland. The turkey sausage was so bone dry, way overcooked, leathery and bland too. Definitely wasn't worth the added cost on the side. It might be okay inside the turkey scramble hidden with other items. The omelet was good, the eggs are fluffy for sure. The hash browns are pretty good, better with some ketchup and red hot sauce.

My first time in this place although I've seen it over the years. Customer service and food was great. I was welcomed in immediately and the host gave me the option of being immediately seated outside but warned bees had been sighted so I waited for a table inside. I am an omelette girl and was appreciative of the various options they have plus you can create your own. I had the Mexican omelette with chorizo, jalapeños and onions served with salsa (your choice of hot or chilled). The omelette was very good and I do plan to come back again.

Great food. One of my favorite breakfast/brunch spots. Bacon crispy and grits are creamy. Best banana nut oatmeal.

Best omelette ever. Never liked omelette until I went to this place. Great people, family owned. If I lived closer, I'd be there everyday.

Breakfast (eggs Benedict) was great. The best was the atmosphere and friendliness of this restaurant.

For some reason, this area is just packed with unique brunch style restaurants and Leeza's is apart of it. Absolutely incredible menu. I love seafood brunch, and this is one of the few places that has shrimp, crab, lobster and salmon available in a variety of dishes. Another item that was unique and incredible was the Potato Pancake Benedict. As someone who is a previous Eggs Benedict addict, but who tries to avoid bread, the Potato Pancake Benedict is one of the best brunch innovations I've seen in the last 3 years. They let you use the modification with any of their Benedict offerings, so I choose to use it on the Crab Cake Benedict. I absolutely loved it. The Crab Cake didn't overdo it on the Cake, and was properly filled with crab (as it should be). The Hollandaise had a great (but not overpowering) flavor and had a nice, thick texture. The dish was an awesome revelation, and I'll be coming back because I don't know anyone else who has it Because I had the Potato Pancakes, I decided to go with the grits as my side and, again, they were unique and high quality. I got the butter and cheese grits and they were incredibly creamy with great, fresh cheese flavor. You also got a great portion, which was much appreciated. The waitress we had was awesome and my coffee was hot, high quality, and filled multiple times. The place has a ton of booths and parking is fine for the most part. This is a spot with so many good menu items that you have to visit multiple times to get the full picture. I'll be updating the review with any other dishes I try.

I couldn't eat the eggs. They were dry and overcooked. Actually the whole meal was dry. Definitely not worth the $ when I would have gotten more food for less cost if I had ordered the veggie omelette. I do not recommend this dish. My husband had a corned beef omelette. He said it was fine but not fabulous. His hash browns needed to be cooked longer. He did enjoy the cinnamon raisin toast. Doubt that we will return. Oh yes, the place could use a good deep cleaning.

Today the stars aligned and I was able to come here to try my first Turkish coffee. I must have looked like a deer in headlights because the owner asked if I ever drank one. When I said no, he further explained how he would prepare it and how to enjoy it. (Coffee grounds are boiled and not filtered so it settles to the bottom of your glass as you finish) I didn't realize I would get a Turkish coffee 101 but I really appreciated it! I'm that yelp nerd after all. I love to learn about culture and I loved my experience here. I had asked why he opened so late 10am/close at 5pm (the desperate mom in me needs coffee earlier and later lol) and he said he also has little ones to drop off to school. So everything makes perfect sense. The cafe is clean and the prices for everything is very very fair. In addition to coffee you could order other things like a scoop of ice cream with espresso, turkey panini for $5.99, boreks (which have spinach, feta and potato) There's also kid juice boxes and snacks like Doritos and Cheetos ($1.50 each) if you decide to come here for a mom and baby date. It's very peaceful and there's even wooden backgammon and chess :) the coffee was very flavorful, powerful, almost like a sweet drip coffee pour without the sour aftertaste like the ones at regular coffee shops. I love mom and pop shops like this. They make me reminisce of my restaurant back when my parents were still working. I will come back again and probably ask for an extra Turkish delight with my coffee :) I hope this review inspires you to visit and support a working dad. I'll accommodate to their business hours. This was a great place to get a strong cup of coffee. I highly recommend it. :)
