    Crepe
    Richard C.

I came here today. I was craving something sweet. I'm not a big sweet person like that, but I came here today and I got a crêpe with strawberries and bananas cause that was what I was craving, and it was really good. I got it with a side of sparkling apple juice, which was very delicious. I enjoyed it so much. The service was really good and I'm very glad that the girl I took my order accommodated with my request of having strawberries and bananas with the crêpe that I wanted, which is very good. I will come back again.

The French bakery has one of the best bread and coffees in the Redmond Town center. It has ample Seating available both indoors and outside plus large shopping mall parking. Service staffs are friendly and knowledgeable about their pastures. Ambience is anywhere from casual to family friendly atmosphere. Is you're in the area, hope you swing by to enjoy some pastures and beverages. Bon appetite!

The smell when you enter this place is just delicious. The array of pastries and cakes is mouth watering. We purchased twice baked almond croissant and raspberry chocolate cake to go. The flavor of the raspberry really came through and it was so decadent. The croissant was so buttery, flavorful and yummy. We will be back to try their other goods even if it's a forty five minute drive.

Love the jalapeño cream cheese Croissant here. Probably the best in the area! I love the vibe of this place. It's usually pretty busy in the morning so I prefer staying outside. The croissant here is so crispy yet super soft! I tried the tiramisu here as well and I totally enjoyed it. Overall a great cafe for coffee and a good breakfast. This French inspired bakery doesn't disappoint you at all and is totally worth a try

Cappuccino Viennesse, Passion Fruit Tropical Ice Tea, Spinach and Feta Croissant, Cafe Latte Mocha, Mango Cake

For a $34 lunch stop for 3 people, this was pretty good. Stopped by as a part of Mother's Day brunch and enjoyed our bakery goodies and drinks. For food: ordered the Spinach and Feta Croissant, a slice of mango cake, and a bear claw. All thoroughly enjoyed each of our treats. Just wish there was an option to warm them up. For drinks: ordered the Cafe Latte Mocha, Passionfruit Tropical Ice Tea, and Cappuccino Viennesse. Viennesse was dark and subtly sweet, Ice Tea was refreshing, and Mocha was sweet. Service was a bit slow as there were only two people taking orders/working the register. The place was pretty packed, but there was enough outside seating around the mall area and right outside the restaurant to accomodate Overall, would love to come back. Was a good treat to start the day.

Ordered at counter. Server was polite and friendly. Nice clean atmosphere inside with tables outside. I ordered the croque madame 4/5. The pastries looked good, but I did not try any on this visit.

Overall not a great bakery. I've been here a couple times and I've always been pretty disappointed with their goods. For this visit it wasn't to busy, but I know during lunch on the weekends there can be a line out the door. We were craving some pastries so we decided to pick up a chocolate croissant, a coconut rose cake, and pistachio éclair. Each of the pastries were pretty bad, all tasted slightly plasticly and stale while lacking that exceptional pastry quality. The éclair and croissant were the best out of the three, but the cake was so terrible we threw half of it away. The prices were also ridiculous, $7 for a terrible tiny little cake? We also decided to order 2 sandwich's which were actually both decent, but nothing crazy. The service for this visit was pretty good, but the workers seem pretty annoyed. They have limited seating thats always taken, and the tables look like they've never been cleaned. I'm only giving this place 3 stars because there was nothing wrong with our visit. But overall I'd definitely recommend skipping and spending your money at a better bakery in the area.

Came here to pick up freshly baked goods to go. This location is inside the town center. Being from out of state and visiting our granddaughters, I do remember coming here one summer when the girls played in the water jet area, never knowing there is a French Bakery there. When in town, we normally go to The French Bakery in Kirkland, but was sad to recently know they are now closed/out of business. :( Anyhow, hubby and I adore going into any bakery smelling fresh pastries. It's so comforting. We ordered ham and cheese croissants, chocolate croissants and a bear claw. Took them home to share with family and ate these with our hot morning beverage. All was so delicious. I wish the ham and cheese croissants though was a little skimpy; could've used more meat and cheese. When in Washington state, The French Bakery is our go to for fresh pastries!

Not too shabby. I visit The French Bakery at Redmond Town Center with my boxing buddies after our session, as this is one of the few coffee shops walking distance to us. Not exactly French, but it's more like French-inspired. So expect croissants, cakes, crepes and coffee here. I like to try something new every time I'm here, as they feature a lot of different baked goods. It's definitely not for those who are watching their carb count. In my most recent visit, I tried the guava and cheese pastry, which was solid. I love guava, so nice to know they have this flavor here. Coffee is fine. It's on the pricier side, especially compared to another coffee spot we sometimes go to after boxing. Staff is always friendly and welcoming when we visit. Just note that this bakery gets busy, especially on Sunday mornings. For our large group, we're always lucky to snag seats and tables around 9am, but soon after we arrive, people are in search for seating. However, there is outdoor seating. The French Bakery isn't a bad option if you want a pastry and are at the Redmond Town Center.

    Croque madame panini
    Huong L.

To be honest, I'm definitely not a fan. This is probably a high 2 star but I'm rounding up just because :) A group of us came here after a spin class and wanted to grab something to eat. We originally wanted to go to the pancake house but it was a 1 hour wait so we opted for here instead. It's also busy but we still got our food in a reasonable amount of time. We got the croque madame panini and a veggie quiche (~$19). The panini came with a side salad and was pretty much like a egg, ham and cheese sandwich, not an actual croque madame I was thinking of, so a little disappointed in that but it was standard. The quiche, however, was bad. They warmed it up for us cause we dine in and they literally just microwave it because it came back with very soft, rubbery crust. It was not good. The flavor was also off. Overall, its not something I would come back to but it was good to try

Black Forest cake custom made for birthday (name crossed out for privacy)
    Rafi M.

I ordered a birthday cake from here for my son's birthday. The staff were super helpful with guiding me through my options and being upfront with the prices, which I thought were super reasonable. The sales associate placed my order and provided both a paper and an electronic copy of the order. I liked that I had the option to pick up the cake at the Redmond location or other locations in the area. Pick up was a breeze, and I was allowed to look at the cake before the box was sealed. My son loved the Black Forest cake. It was the perfect balance of cherry and chocolate. It was eaten in 3 days. Son raved how moist and rich it was. We'll definitely order from here again. They sell cakes by the slice, so I'll be back here to pick up a slice from time to time for him as a treat. The only downside is the place has no gluten free options.

    Espresso
    Chara C.

We ordered an espresso, a latte, a guava cream cheese? pastry, and a ham and provolone croissant. Pastries were spot on and pretty well priced compared to some other spots (around 3.50 per, whereas other places like bakery nouveau get to about 6 bucks per). Espresso was meh, not my favorite. But latte was good.

It was pretty easy to make a cake order and the writing was free, unlike online where it says $5 for writing. When I got the cake, I was a bit disappointed. The writing had bled onto the cake, there was a crack in the frosting and it appeared that the frosting at the bottom leaned piped to the board instead of the cake. I didn't bother mentioning this at pick up because it didn't seem like the worker was also the cake person. The cake itself was a tad dry but light and airy. For the price I paid, I was disappointed by the outcome. Even if it was due to additional cake orders due to mother's day, I do expect better than this when I buy a cake from a local bakery. Also if you like crispy croissants, I do not recommend the Sichuan pepper cruffin. It was tasty but it didn't have the crisp that you'd expect from a bakery.

Located on the ground floor of an apartment building, parking can be challenging unless you find a spot on the street or don't mind walking from a public lot. Inside, seating is pretty plentiful with some tables in the center, along the windows, and in a more secluded section behind the coffee counter. Two of us came in to grab some pastries and coffee around 11:00A. We loaded up our tray and headed to the counter where we also requested a slice of the tiramisu from their refrigerated case, and ordered our coffees. + CHOCOLATE SUPREME CROISSANT ($6.59) - This round croissant was filled with chocolate custard cream, partially dipped in chocolate and topped with crisp chocolate pearls. The croissant was light but had no problem holding up to the rich custard which reminded me of a chocolate pudding. I really enjoyed this one! + COFFEE CROISSANT DONUT ($5.99) - When I picked this up, I noticed it had some weight! The cronut was filled generously with coffee custard which was smooth and not too sweet. All the sweetness really came from sugary coffee icing on top. Even though the coffee flavor wasn't very bold and tasted more like instant coffee to me, I'd still recommend. The pastry was flaky and had light layers too. + TIRAMISU CAKE SLICE ($9.25) - Eh, it was just okay. The cake itself didn't have a robust coffee flavor and the layer of mascarpone was way sweeter than anticipated, closer to a cream cheese frosting. To me, this isn't reminiscent of a tiramisu and for the price, I would have expected a larger slice. Others in my family ate the remaining pastries that we purchased (we didn't share, haha), so here are their quick thoughts: + RASPBERRY ALMOND CROISSANT ($6.39) - Advertised as filled with both almond cream and raspberry preserves, but the almond cream was extremely subtle, so raspberry was the dominant flavor. + ALMOND PASTRY ($4.99) - The pastry could have used more almond filling, and it should be spread out more out towards the edges. It had a delightful almond flavor though. + CHOUX CREAM BREAD ($3.79) - This was as expected, a simple soft bread filled with custard cream. + CROISSANT DONUT ($5.99) - A cronut filled with custard cream and topped with lemon icing. It had good flavor! + SWEET RICE DONUT ($3.79) - A chewy rice donut rolled in sugar and filled with red bean. Eat it the same day, while the dough is still soft. The filling did not have the sweetness that you'd expect with a red bean paste... it tasted like just mashed red beans and was pretty plain. We wouldn't select it again. For my coffee, I kept things simple with a decaf ICED VANILLA LATTE ($5.42, 16 oz.). They serve the Lavazza brand, so I had a feeling it would be good. The coffee was very smooth, had a good balance of vanilla flavor and they accommodated my request for light ice well. They have a rewards program (1 point per $1), although points do expire after 180 days. The pricing of the pastries is on par with what I expected, but the cost of cake slices is steep at almost $10 each, so it's a better value just to order a full cake. I'm sure I'll be back again to try more of their pastries... perhaps a savory one next time!
