My solar system was installed by a company that was no longer in business. I was having a hard time finding a company that would inspect, maintain and provide basic services such as periodic cleaning of the panels. When I finally researched under the old company name, I came across Sunrise Energy Solutions and Mrs. Holly Tamas being the owner and CEO. I called the office and the actual owner answered the phone! When I described my system and mentioned the former company name, Holly immediately responded and found my name in her records. It turned out, that she had taken over the client files and was fully informed of my system. An appointment was made and technician Billy P. came out to my home and inspected and cleaned the system. He was very thorough and informative and patiently explained technical details that I never heard of. Overall, my solar system performed as well as could be expected for an older system and the improvement of power generation was immediately evident after the cleaning of the panels. The total charge was much more reasonable that other, larger companies were quoting originally, and then declined service on the now defunct company's product. I am looking forward to more $25/month SMUD bills and the knowledge that we are contributing to energy conservation. Sunrise installed an entire new HVAC system in our 1954 ranch house back in 2018 as part of a larger remodel. The team did a great job with the initial install. A handful of issues have come up over the last couple of years, mostly minor but recently our AC compressor went out. We have had great service fixing the issues under warranty. Holli has been great to work with and has always had at least one tech (usually two) out to our house ASAP to fix the issue to keep the house comfortable. A+ read more

This company is the worst. They set appointments and never show up, not even a courtesy call. I had a leak; they finally came out and emptied the tank and assured me someone would be out the next day to fix the valve. I called and was told it was fixed. Two weeks later, when someone finally came out to do the safety assurance check, I learned that it was never fixed, and once again, I would have to set up an appointment to have it fixed. I have wasted hours on the phone, spoke to numerous individuals who responded with scripted assurances that my problem would be addressed. I am still sitting here, waiting! read more

Two years ago I purchased a home which already had solar installed and suddenly it stopped producing around July (I found out when my bill was unusually high). The original installers of the solar are either out of business or just...unresponsive...and in my research I found Sunrise Energy. I called Holli and she absolutely saved the day! Someone was at my house within two days and discovered that the original homeowners never updated the breaker to the house. Had Sunrise install new HVAC system and zone our house. We probably got 4 or 5 quotes and this was by far one of the most reasonable quotes. Seemed very honest and not trying to upsell anything. I actually asked about getting a more expensive unit and was told it would not be a good idea. The installation was very professional. All the workers kept the house clean and tried to be mindful of our 2 little kids. After a couple months we had some excess drainage from one of the condensate drains outside and had a worker come by immediately to take care of the issue. "I had a project done by this company and it was completed very very nicely!! During the onsite visit for job estimating purposes Holli T. was GREAT. She listened to what we wanted done and the limitations that were involved in the project and her crew accomplished the job in fine fashion. I had two other HVAC contractors give me estimates and one contractor stated that what we wanted could not be done without a complete replacement of our existing ducting which was going to cost substantially more. The second contractor complained that the crawl space underneath our home where the ducting is would not accommodate his workers even though previous cable and electrical workers navigated the 20 inches of clearance to do some work. I was disappointed in these two contractor's response in that they had both received very good reviews on other websites. Holli's crew did acknowledge that it was a difficult job but Jason and the crew indicated that our wants/needs were doable. Bottom line is they did a great job at a very reasonable cost. We were building a new construction from the ground up. We had called several HVAC companies for quotes and SES was responsive, competitive and comprehensive in that they handled HVAC, Solar, and whole house fans. They have great customer service, courteous employees, great can-do attitudes, and able to customize their service for our custom home. Holli made us feel like family, Dan Sr. the HVAC guy was tops, Brian the sales person we first met at a home show was responsive, Dan/Tony the solar guys were great and the pricing/10 year warranty is hard to beat. We love our quiet HVAC, quiet whole house fans, and the solar allows us to be comfortable in the heat of the summer. I would recommend SES and blessed to have them in our house build process. AHS are the worst . I don't wish to anyone to go through what I encountered with them. I waited for two months to fix our microwave.

Called on a Wednesday and they scheduled me for the next day! Technician called in advance, showed on time, respected our home in every way by wearing booties and gloves. Spent about 45 minutes in total, changed our AC filters for free, inspected entire system from yard to attic. Our AC was blowing ice cold when they left. Very professional and would refer them to a friend or family member anytime... very fair pricing was just the icing on the cake. Please read this review. Our A/C stopped working on Friday June 25 at 6:00pm on a blazing hot day with 5 more high 90s/low 100s forecasted We all know that's the worst time for your A/C to fail. I immediately reached out thru Yelp to 8 or 9 service orgs. But all were closed for the weekend. Some actually replied, but no one had any service techs available until Tuesday the following week. But on Sunday morn I got a call from Sunrise Energy and Holli. She explained that she's the owner of a family business and she could get one of her experienced techs out on Monday late afternoon. I was thrilled. Later that evening she called me back after rearranging their service so she could send out Jeremy on Monday morning. Jeremy called 30min in advance to say he was on his way. He arrived on time, and within a short period he had our A/C issue identified. Capacitor. He did a full service check then too. He didn't have one large enough for my unit with him, warned me that parts are difficult to get with the Covid shortages going on. He then spent the next 20 min calling around until he found one. He went out got it, installed it, and my A/C is purring away. I was relieved at the cost of their service and highly recommend them. Sunrise Energy Solutions installed a new HVAC system in my home. They did a great job. Holli the owner was very nice and explained a lot of things to us indicating that no matter who we went with these were things we should know. I really appreciated that. The crew was very friendly and they were respectful of our home, asking if shoes should come off or if it was ok for them to remain on. They were able to complete the job in a day, there were some minor things that got dinged by the city inspector but Sunrise Energy crew was on it including offering to give me smoke detectors for the rooms in which I did not have them installed. The cost of the unit I felt was very fair compared to other companies we got bids from. We had a hole in the wall around the thermostat from another company that left it here sunrise went out of their way to repair the hole for us at no additional charge. Rick came to do the work on the hole and he did a great job, in addition, gave me some good tips and tricks to try on fixing our french doors that were sticking and to address the gap at the bottom of the door. Lastly, everyone on the crew loved our dog and was comfortable with him which made it so much easier for us so we did not have to worry about moving him from room to room or putting him in a crate. I'm so glad I had sunrise energy give me a second opinion on repairing my HVAC. The first company I called suggested replacing the blower fan in addition to the burned out circuit board because it was "probably" not going to last much longer. They even suggested replacing the ductwork. Sunrise recommended just replacing the circuit board and checking the blower. My eleven-year-old solar panels were at the end of their service life and spilling black, rubber gunk into my pool at a frightening rate. My wife freaked out, and told me to contact Holli pronto. I can't believe her guys came out the very next day, and clambered on roof for a goodf two hours until they had deduced the problem and executed a perfect fix. They back-flushed the system and shook each panel till the panels begged for mercy. That did the trick because the water flow immediately improved. Sunrise Energy Solutions installed a 4 ton 18 SEER condenser, 97 AFUE 100k btu furnace and 3.5-5 ton evaporator in my home at a very fair price. Dan, Zack and Dan jr also recognized the deficiency in the existing supply air plenum above the garage HVAC equipment, something that no other bidding HVAC contractor even mentioned. They built a completely sealed custom sheet metal plenum and removed the deteriorating, leaking and grossly undersized ductboard plenum that ALL HVAC BUILDERS of the 1980's and 1990's have installed, ALLOWED BY BUILDING CODES AT THE TIME, but absolute garbage. Increasing the size of the new sheet metal plenum by almost 300% has greatly allowed the supply ducts to deliver air throughout my two story 2650 sq ft house. Adding a second return air duct from the FIRST floor and splitting the 18 inch SECOND story return air duct to pull air from the Master Bedroom 15 foot vaulted ceiling has now made that room so comfortable during the 100 degree temperatures of June. Now the HVAC system can properly breathe and service all the supply air ducts with so much cooled air it is actually cold in the house with the thermostat set at 74 degrees. Dan is a master with sheet metal and with his extensive knowledge and willingness to great it right; there is no other choice for personnel nor company, in my opinion for the installation of HVAC equipment. Dan's recommendation to install a NEST thermostat with two remote sensors located in different parts of the house allows the entire house to maintain a consistent temperature with no additional AC running time. I am a retired electrical contractor and appreciate and recognize Sunrise Energy Solution's team and work ethic to conserving energy while providing a superior finished product. If you remember anything about this review, remember this: THE CPUC (California Public Utility Commission), this year, will grant PG andE several electrical and natural gas rate hikes to cover the costs of the fires started by PG and E equipment over the last few years. Electrical tier rates and gas tier rates are being adjusted to impact utility users when energy used will be at the higher rates. We, as the customer, will bear those costs. Here is my advise, for what it is worth. Any additional monies or loans needed to pay for higher SEER or AFUE numbers will be returned to the homeowner in kept (money in pocket) lower operating costs in future years of home ownership. ASK anyone who owns solar for 5 years +/- (time frame to payoff solar equipment or loans associated with the solar install), the electrical energy savings is NOW money in their pocket. The same is to be said for additional upfront money used to buy more efficient equipment. It really is a no brainer. The first time our AC stopped blowing cold air and we called them based on a recommendation from a coworker. Lyle was dispatched within a day of the initial call. He was prompt, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable and quickly diagnosed the issue, gave us multiple options and price points for fixes, and most importantly, fixed the problem. I had my solar installed for about 3.5 years now and I normally don't leave reviews. I have to say it was the best purchase we ever made, considering we have PG&E living in Rocklin it's saving us a ton. About the install and service. All the guys were professional and punctual on the promises they made. I did have a problem with my inverter going out a year ago. It took longer to replace than I had liked but, it wasn't from them not trying. More to do with inverter company. It did cost me a good chunk of change in electric cost when I was down, but just made me realize how much I am saving. Our electric was really high, much higher than most of our neighbors, but since our install, we have covered all our electric costs. The one thing my wife and I have noticed since we got our system is how much cleaner our install looks than many of the others I've seen when looking at others. Some companies just run silver conduit down wall or on roof to the connect. They hid our conduit as well as possible and painted it to match our tile and stucco, it does make a difference. I have chased this company for two years to have my hvac and window project completed. They installed baffles on my ducts, then closed them partially, this restricted the flow of air to the other side of the house. They installed a used thermostat which had to be replaced (this took months of calling to get done) Once the funding was clear they forgot about who I was. I had to, again chase them down to get the test out procedure done, one lady came out and side she couldn't finish the process. When the workers went into the attic to work on the ducts, they said someone would call to schedule a time to reblow, insulation back over the ducts. No one calls back, I have talked with the manager(after calling for months) with no resolution. I regret ever dealing with these people, I have an incomplete system and they have my $20,000. read more

I had these people install solar panels on my roof over a year ago. each time it rained we had water leaking from roof. Kids who were hired to do the work did their best but leaking roof is what we were afraid and yes, it is leaking. This lady-the owner of the company told me the home-owner, that I was lying in telling her that my roof is leaking and i need repairs done since they worked on my roof and original roof warrantee is no good anymore. Apparently they warranteed the workmanship and leaks from their working on my roof are not covered. She is argumentative and nasty to deal with. She plays the roll of women owned business card and claims she is being taken advantage by doing warranty work. She has big Ego problem and claims her billionaire attorney husband will fix the arising problem. She does not deserve your and my business with that callous attitude. I will do my part to raise consumer awareness and don't mind to call out crooks and CONS like her. AH read more
