It all started when I noticed I needed to replace my skylights. It lead to an inspection and bidding and the fact that my roof needed to be replaced. I selected Spartan because they went the extra mile. I had outdated 16" skylights and Spartan contacted the skylight company and set up special replacements. They also were on time for meetings, had great communications about the process and did what they promised without trying to upsell me. They used quality product and did a super job with repairs around my chimney. To top it off, they were in and out in 3 days and cleaned up every day. I requested a quote from Spartan Home Services. Forrest Farman performed the quote and had great communication on when he was going to arrive. After the inspection he did not try to up-sale me on something that I didn't need and he was the honest with me that my roof was in decent shape and it didn't need to be replaced immediately. It really shows that they value honesty and integrity. Even if they were more expensive than the other quotes I have received. Roof repair. had a leak in a valley on my home roof. Showed estimator video and stills of roof. He explained they only do a minimum of $3400 for a repair job but he also said they would go through and fix ridge tiles and anything else wrong with roof. Additional charges for materials above and beyond the first $3400. I'm envisioning a whole crew working on the roof and checking it all out. They send two guys. They were great by the way. They advise I need new flashing. I approve They get it done. Pack and leave. Left the area really clean. They were on my roof for four hours and part of that was a lunch break. I'd love to make over $400 an hour. Then to top it off they charged another $660 for the flashing. No one said at the beginning that they only take bank drafts. I would have gone with someone else. Brent called and listened to my concerns. He is sending a crew out to review the work on my roof. He reversed the additional charge. read more

I was contacted by Spartan staff Diego Nuñez after responding to a link survey about adding solar. Spartan was the first company to contact me and made an appointment to speak to me via phone since I said I did not need an in person consultation. I was interested in adding panels to my existing older solar roof panels. My panels are working well, but I could use more power. Was also interested on behalf of my daughter who wanted extra panels after adding an EV and hot tub. After a couple of tel/cons with Diego, we determined in both our cases, it would not be worth adding additional panels because our True-ups were not high enough annually to warrant a system purchase. We had an extensive discussion about the fact that there are no more perks or discounts to install solar and things have just gotten more expensive over the last year, with loss of rebates, etc. Diego was very honest that in both of our cases, the cost of upgrading our mutual systems was not worth the money it would cost. I truly appreciated his honesty as he talked himself out of not one job but two. Highly recommend this company for both staff customer service in getting to me quickly, speaking to me extensively twice and Diego's honesty in being upfront about in our case, the bang just not being worth the buck. Did a nice job on roof and solar.. did poorly at roof cleanup breaking outside decorations and sprinkler. . Also used too long of nails on roof and then pulled them and put correct ones the fix was wood glue on my eves which stands out like a sore thumb. I complained and was told they would take care of it and have yet to hear anything. Every time I walk out it's an eye sore. Since my original review I have had a much better relationship with Spartan, speaking with Mr. Joel Tillford one of the owners and the Founder of Spartan Home Services. Joel TillFord was very instrumental and listened. A roof is major investment in a home, one of the biggest investments in the home. The project is now complete and looks good. Outstanding service and value in Enphase Solar Battery installation . Spartan Home Services gave me an outstanding deal selling me and installing 3 Enphase IQ+ home backup batteries along with their controller, shutoffs, and tie ins to the existing solar cell system. It started with Mitch Silva, their estimator, worked with me to determine which options suited me best. Next, project manager Chris got with us to survey the site and discuss the design , scope, and extent of the project. Spartan quickly sent me a copy of the project design and filed for permits with the city. Construction began soon thereafter with their supplier delivering the required equipment and supplies. On time, on schedule, master electrician Ryan led his team in the required installation of the batteries, the controller, shutoff, and tie in to the gateway. This is amazing work to see! The commissioning of the batteries went well, Ryan really is a master electrician. Review Update July 2024. I want to share my review update regarding Spartan Roofing. I strive to offer constructive criticism to help others like me. After posting a review about Spartan Roofing a month ago, I was surprised to receive a follow-up from Dayne, an employee of Spartan. He apologized for the issues and assured me they would investigate and address it with the owner. The owner, Joel, also contacted me the following day to apologize and express his understanding of my concerns. Both Dayne and Joel helped alleviate my frustrations. While there was some miscommunication, my roof was completed. It's worth noting that Spartan has its own roofing crew, but they subcontract some projects. Upon further investigation by the owner, it was discovered that the workers had repaired a rotted area on my roof at no extra cost, which I appreciated. For future training tools, some improvements would be to focus on better communication, transparency, and meeting customers' expectations. I was grateful for the follow-up from Dayne and Joel and would consider working with them again in the future. read more

I paid $62000 to have my roofs repaired - not cheap for a disabled person. Hopefully, thei dropping the ball is not because Im disabled. They removed but did not properly reattach my ATT line to detached garage. Also, there was a fluke rainstorm about 1-1/2 weeks ago and i heard a dripping sound in / near chimney. I complained and Brent Eikanas their contact promised to have supervisor here to check leak TODAY between 10-11 am and anchor the ATT connection like it was before they removed it. They no-showed AGAIN. I had to remind them of other items they needed to do to finish/using my payment as leverage - removing the old gutter all the way - they had only half-way removed it. I have photos and next winter will have to video and record leak in/near fireplace. I had to start documenting because phone call is useless. Back in March we were told by our insurance agency that they were going to drop us due to our old roof. We got quotes from 5 other Contractors and none came close to Spartan. They even offered financing which was a huge plus for us. We have a lease through Sunrun and Spartan Home Services are a 3rd party vendor and are able to take them off and put them on without disregarding your warranty/lease. Forrest was very professional and helpful along the whole process from start to finish. The roof is under a 50 year warranty and guarantee which is nice to know that I will not have to change it anytime soon. All the Guys who came to work on the roof were efficient, professional, and very trust worthy. During one of the days of work one of the gentlemen let us know that while they were nailing they heard glass break and wanted to go into the attic and clean up the mess and replace the light for us. Now that is some real trustworthy customer service. I would recommend this Company 100 percent! They even offer discounts off if you do a package roof/ Solar Deal. I called Spartan to get a bid about doing some roof repairs on our home in Davis, CA and they responed and scheduled us right away. Mike surveyed the roof and determined that it was sound, working as it was designed to and the maintenance items that had been identified by an insurance company and another roofing inspector were not structural and were an "easy fix". He suggested that we could do the work ourselves and explained how. He did not charge us for the visit and just asked us to call him in the future when our roof may need replacing. And he offered to help us if we had any problems with the insurance company's assessment of our roof. What a great guy! Steve and his team were amazing. I reached out to another company initially to get a quote on a leak. They never showed up so I looked for another company and found Spartan. I went with them based on the reviews I read. Steve came over a few days later, he was very friendly and explained everything very well. He gave me a quote on the repair but I ended up deciding long-term, it would be better to replace the entire roof instead. I was hesitant and nervous just because replacing a roof was a big thing but man I'm glad I did. I got a better price than I expected. They started on a Monday and we're done by Friday. My roof looks amazing and they also replaced the gutters and downspouts. I had a couple of my neighbors compliment on how great it looks as well. The whole process went so smoothly I questioned whether this could be construction. I don't really look at my roof very often but it definitely looks great.
