Every time I go there is only one person doing everything. She checks you in and checks the paperwork then she takes your blood and other fluids. There is a steady stream of clients but I was only there for 40 minutes from start to finish. I would definitely recommend it. read more

This lab is run like a circus. Why is the phlebotomist also the receptionist? The poor woman was running back and forth doing everything all by herself which is not only ridiculous but also unsafe. You have one worker with a room full of irate people stuck waiting for over an hour? If you're not going to have a staff then why don't you take appointments-people have other things to do besides sit in your office all day waiting. Giving two stars only because she was very friendly and kept her cool when she was clearly overwhelmed. read more

This review is for the blood draw lab on Deer Park Ave, Babylon. They have new techs, from last year, here. Had a terrible experience. A very painful blood draw. Very very heavy, did not get name, young women took blood draw. She did not tell me to close palm as they usually do and could not get blood..had to do it twice. I almost fell on the floor. I had mentioned that I had arthritis and she said well you must not be hydrated and you did say you have arthritis...like arthritis has anything to do with a clumsy painful blood draw. She needs to get better training. WOULD NOT recommend!! read more

This is the only lab I visit if I given a choice. The Babylon location is clean and usually does not have any wait. Christine and Katrina are always friendly. Their positive attitude shows they care and enjoy what they do. Sunrise Labs gets their results back to you in an expedited manner so your doctor can quickly make an assessment and decide what is the best care you may need. This place gets an A+ in my book. read more

I have been using Sunrise Labs for all my blood work for the past 15 years, mostly the Rockville Center Office. Outside of one problem there where the technician did not take enough blood so my results were really skewed. I have moved to the Babylon area and recently used this lab. They were understaffed for sure..then I received results on just 2 tests. I waited because it was ThanksGiving week. After more than a week I called their 800 number and was told the Babylon site did not send all my paperwork to the main lab. And despite 2 attempts by the home lab to get in touch with Babylon, nothing was done. How can you loose blood paperwork? Not only it could be dangerous if a doctor needed those results to determine life saving treatment...but it's a HPPA violation. Now because my blood specimen is over 1 week old it's no good for testing. I attempted to call the N Babylon site myself but it's a joke. No one answers, and they don't call back. GO TO ANOTHER LAB!..plus the day I went it was a mad house...I refer to the last review by Joanne.. read more

I've gone to this lab many times. The office is organized and after a short wait, I was called in and the blood was drawn. The tech did a great job with finding my vein and filling the vials... no sore arm or 'redo's'. read more

We had a terrible experience at this lab. We had to get blood drawn for our 18 month old. We are realistic parents- we knew she would cry, it would suck and she'd be fine the second it ended. First strike was the girl at the front desk asked us if she was hydrated because allergy tests weren't just one vial. I had called beforehand and they never mentioned it. Then she told me I was ruining her weekend!! As if we wanted to have to bring her for blood test. Then we meet the techs- after two tries they couldn't get it. Again, I realize kids are tough. But she's had blood drawn before. They offered no advice on ways we could hold her or anything. Very unprofessional. Worst lab I've even been too. read more

Went there and the receptionist was so rude. We went at 11:30, they close at 12, she told me to go wait in the car and they Will call, 12:50 I go in and they said there's no way they can fit me in. Meanwhile, when I signed in, I thought that I was the 4th person down from the waitlist, when there were 2 more pages filled out waiting to be called. Ridiculous. she could have told me nicely that they can't fit me in the first place! Never ever going there again. Went to good Sam and it took 10 mins in and out and they were so nice! read more

My husband had blood work drawn here. The office is located next to the doctors's office. We received a bill afterwards. I called them and they said we had to submit the bill. I called my insurance company and they told me I would not do that and it is the responsibility of Sunrise. I called them back and the woman was very rude. I sent them the insurance information but they refused to submit. This was last year. Then they referred it to a collection agency. I went ahead and paid it, even though I should not have and now I have been back and forth with their billing office. It is not the point of the money, the point is they are lazy people. They will transfer you to no where land or keep you on hold forever just not to resolve the problem. Even the office manager was no where to be found. I will also forward this to my doctors office. read more

As someone who works in medical and most recently in a laboratory, I am not impressed at all with SML. There is no margin for error with patient information. Jamie Rodriguez was my son's tech. She entered all the insurance information incorrectly. Our insurance card clearly has the payer ID number and address on it. It also says my son is a "dependent". She carelessly entered it to the wrong payer address and even put "him" as the subscriber. When I called their main number to speak with Babylon's supervisor Ginny, she wasn't too concerned, but of course was going to have it corrected because otherwise they obviously wouldn't get paid. Lol. Patient information mistakes result in HIPAA violations, as in this case. read more
