After dinner nearby we stopped here for a drink. We knew we wanted to enjoy the open air rooftop but when we walked in we had to figure out on our own where to go. Not a single person acknowledged us and there was literally only one customer seated. As we walked around we noticed on a back wall the sign for rooftop this way and so we followed it. Once upstairs, we sat at the bar and had prompt and friendly service. We had a tequila lemon drop and tried the Margarita martini which was supposed to be spicy, but was not at all. The space was nicely decorated and the dj brought the vibes. We didn't have food because we just ate but I would return to try something on the menu. 7/10 read more

The decor is modern & lounge like with 2 floors. The upstairs is giving rooftop vibes with windows that open all throughout & dj's on certain evenings. Service is prompt despite how busy it can get. Definitely make a reservation if you want to sit upstairs. They even offer bottle service on their couches & have a bottle shop downstairs. For food, I've had the truffle fries, street nachos, lobster quesadillas, & wagyu beef sliders & everything was so fresh & delicious! Cocktails are all delicious & there are so many to choose from. We were even surprised to see the huge selection of tequilas that you can order neat or rimmed, however you wish! The only downside about this place is trying to find a parking spot, but that's life down the shore. read more

Went on a Sunday afternoon and everything was great...server was very nice, food was delicious, and enjoyed the vibe. We sat upstairs at a high top table (not too high) and it was so bright and airy...lots of windows which were open since it was a nice day. They have a large bar area upstairs and had live music but even with that it wasn't too loud. The downstairs area looks really nice too. They have an elevator for those who can't take the steps. If you go before 2pm you can order from the brunch menu as well as the regular menu which provides a lot of options. I liked how the gluten free items were marked on the menu and that there were more options than just salad! The GF elote pizza was amazing and the crust was so good I had to check to make sure it really was GF lol! read more

Had a lovely low key morning on the beach and had sudden urge for a really good martini and something light for lunch (there's only so many hoagies and seltzers a person can take lol) I'm so happy I found this spot! Martini was PERFECTLY made. Went for the salmon ceviche (although it was a tough choice because there were tons of delicious options on the menu). Ceviche was fresh, chips were perfectly toasted. It was EXACTLY what I was craving. The decor of the place is stunning! Kudos to whoever designed this spot. Absolutely gorgeous. Bartender was friendly + attentive and staff in general was really on point. It was my first time visiting and I absolutely will be back. I came in right before happy hour (3-6) but it looked like there were some good options being offered on that menu so I plan on going back to check out a few more things. read more

An open-air bar at the shore. Ahhhh! We visited Sunrise Tequila Bar for a pre-dinner drink on a beautiful Saturday evening (around 7:00 PM). I've been on a tequila kick of late, so this was right up my alley. The average age at the downstairs/inside bar was about 15 years older than the upstairs bar. Interesting. We made our way upstairs and managed to land 3 bar seats for our party of 4. Watermelon Margaritas all around. The drink was well-balanced, but the rim garnish tasted like the smoky/spiced rub my husband uses when he makes brisket on the Kamado Joe (this was his feedback, and he nailed it). It was overpowering. If we had more time, I would have ordered a different variation for round 2. It was refreshing, nevertheless. The bartender provided ice water for us without having to ask. This is something I greatly appreciate, and I wish every establishment did the same thing. Hydration is key, people! It was a little pricey, but it's Margate, so there's that. Being outside, "rooftop" on a low-humidity night was like a hug for my soul (and hair). The dinner reviews on Yelp seem questionable, so I think we'll stick to cocktails going forward. Amazing! Went last Sunday for an early dinner. The restaurant is beautiful and the staff was very welcoming. To start we had The broccoli pizza which was crispy and delicious. The chips and salsa with guacamole were so fresh I swear they tasted like were made to order. The special that night was shrimp stuffed with crabmeat. The dish was outstanding we also tried the mahi mahi dinner again amazing and prepared perfectly. We saved room for dessert we tried both the cheesecake and tiramisu. We went to check out this place on a Saturday around lunch in off season and we had the best experience. The whole place has a great vibe, the food and service were excellent. The first drink i had wasn't great - i don't remember what it was called but it was the spicy watermelon margarita but it was actually so strong it tasted like straight spicy tequila and i feel like it probally wasn't made right. First of all when we walked in, I informed the young man who sat us that there would be a birthday at our table. He told me he would let the server know. He did not. We ordered drinks and it took quite a while for them to arrive at the table. We looked around and the bar appeared to be well staffed and there were empty seats. Our waitress was not very attentive. This place got it right! From the friendly host greeting to the most attentive bartender. We did not have a reservation but the hostess could not have been more accommodating to suggest the upstairs bar. I asked the bartender for a sipping tequila in my price range and he nailed it. The wyagu sliders were off the chart. My wife had the prime rib and it did not disappoint! The staff was very busy but very attentive and gave off a great friendly vibe. We were greeted by their hostess who was very helpful and friendly. She walked us up to the roof top and sat us at a table, by Ventnor Ave. Our server was friendly and she helped us decide what to order from the menu. The food quality was what we expected. I worked in hospitality for a really long time and hate leaving reviews, but this felt necessary. This was one of the worst meals my partner and I have ever had down the shore across any shore point. The brussels sprouts were really bad - tough with a stale tasting sauce/glaze. It was the first time in my life I sent something back for tasting bad. They did remove this from the bill. My partners wrap was fine, my poke bowl was ok. My drink was fine, a watered down mojito. Wanted to try the upstairs area. It is a well-thought-out area, and the vibe was great. As the night progressed, the crowd got younger. Probably 26-35. The signature drinks, and through several visits, were not good. We tried probably 8 from their signature drink menu, and some of the drinks were meh, and others down right disgusting. For example, a signature drink was described as "smokey," it was like drinking a burnt log. The "Smokey" was so in your face... truly one of the most disgusting cocktails we have ever tasted. The server finally stopped by and we informed her of this experience. She didn't seem to give a hoot. The Cheese Plate was good, but so very frugal with the ingredients. Paper-thin slices of cheese? Really? For $16, give us some cheese! And it wasn't like the ingredients were imported from France, more like a supermarket. Next came the Corn Chips...get this folks...16 Corn Chips and some corn Salsa. 16?? $1 per chip? LOL Ludicris Service was meh...went for long periods not seeing our server. The "cocktail," which was disgusting and only had 2 sips...not taken off the check! The hostess, when we were seated, seemed directionless. Overall, the vibe was great, but the food and drinks were not good. If we ever visit again, we will stick to a beer. I think it's obvious that the bartenders here has no experience...at all. I typically don't write a bad review on a newer restaurant, but our experience here was terrible and what caused me to write this review was the attitude of the staff and manager. We arrived and they were very busy. We were greeted by the manger who said the downstairs we could put our names in for a table downstairs or first come first serve upstairs. We headed upstairs and it was busy, so we ordered a drink from the bartender at the bar. It took them about 15 minutes to acknowledge our existence and then seemed agitated that we were ordering drinks....kind of his job. He looked very overwhelmed. We ordered our drinks and we noticed he had to read the menu to see the ingredients for the drinks. Well, he left some out and does not know portioning. The drinks were so terrible, we had to wait for another bartender and asked him to make us new ones. We hardly ever send stuff back, but for $18 per drink and how terrible they were, we had to. It was straight up lime juice in the one drink that was supposed to be coconut based. A couch with table opened up so we went there in the hopes to order food. The table was full of food and it took a while for it to be bussed. The waitress walked by us several times and never acknowledged us. We grabbed her and she said she would be back and never came back. The high top next to us opened up so we thought we would have better luck there. The waitress finally came over and said we had to put our names in for a table. We explained what the manager said and she went to go check. Now we have been here 2 hours and only able to get one drink and no food. She came back about 15 min. later and said we needed to put our names in. At this point the place was cleared out. We went downstairs to leave and head to Tomatoes to get some food. On the way out we saw the manager who instructed us on the first come first serve and explained our situation and experience. We aren't complainers, but wanted to bring it to her attention so they could improve or explain. I would have given this place another try in the future, but the manager didn't seem to care and when I turned my back she made a face at me and rolled her eyes and began to laugh with the hostess. This was caught by several people in our group. We just left and will never return because of this manager and the waitress upstairs and the terrible bartender. We were excited about this addition to Margate, but when staff mistreats customers, that is a hard no for us returning ever again. I am fine with a new restaurant working out the bugs, but there is no excuse for how we were treated. My recommendation is to stick with the businesses that respect their customers and try to do the right thing. read more

Entered for the first time spoke to the hostess she told us that upstairs you did not need a reservation so off we go to the upstairs. The only thing going for this place is that it is quite pretty upstairs. The service was horrible we waited at the bar for a lot of time before getting probably one of the worst drinks to which the bartender or said bartender had to read off the menu to get the ingredients and just still started pouring contents into the glass without measuring The drink tasted like gasoline. Fast forward after waiting 2 hours we were sitting in the corner lounge area and we're told that we could get food and the previous party that was in there got food because the food sat there for at least 45 minutes while we were sitting there waiting for a waitress to come ovee. several waitresses did see us looked at us and looked away. So we thought let's move on to one of the high top tables in hopes to get service this is after hour too we ask the waitress and she said that we had to make a reservation downstairs. To end the story we went to tomatoes where they always make it happen.... This place is never going to make a summer crowd that is for sure. It wasn't so much as the experience was bad but on the way out the hostess manager rolled her eyes at my husband and that was it for me! Owners pay attention and fix this asap**** The awful: Service. We had three servers promise to bring us menus. We ordered drinks and it took 30+ min. Our food beat our first round of drinks!!! From what I could see there was no service bartender. They were taking care of their guests before tables. Also why is the server asking me if I want menus. A the hostess should have given us menus or at least the servers comes with water and menus at the greet. Really poorly organized The food was honestly awful. No corn tortillas for tacos!? The fries were honestly awful train wreck. They were soggy and barely cooked. It's a shame because the concept is good but the execution awful. Get your fryer hotter!!!!! The carnitas nachos were dead cold. The carnitas were good but super cold and therefore greasy. I didn't mind the nachos but I'd get a thicker chip or don't yourself (may not be viable with the volume) Ultimately the product is sub par right now. Ownership needs to make changes and fast.
