I was feeling a slight vibration on my steering wheel upon braking and since I was due for an oil change (Amsoil) I took my car in to have J. D. Runner check it out. He and his technician, Bryan Chardello quickly determined that I needed new front brakes. J.D. gave me a transparent upfront quote and as usual, didn't try to upsell me on parts I didn't need. If you're in need of auto repair, based on my past experience, I can highly recommend this business and am happy to give them 5 stars!

I'm not really the type to leave reviews. I tend to forget when I get good service, and unless the…read morebad service is so awful it warrants a public warning, I usually let that slide too. But I want to make an exception here and point something out: These people absolutely own me. I've brought my cars to them for a while, but most recently I brought in a small Class B motorhome that my wife and I were about to take on a 15,000-mile road trip. I was getting a hot coolant smell under the hood--like maple syrup--and wanted to make sure it wasn't going to become a problem on the road. Bobby, the mechanic, did a two-hour leak-down test that didn't show anything conclusive. He asked me to put a few hundred miles on it and bring it back in two weeks. They declined to charge me for the visit. When I came back, Bobby ran another leak-down test, and this time tightened three hose clamps. Then the amazing part happened: Bobby and William (behind the counter) conferred and agreed--again--that there should be no charge. Who the hell says "no charge" in 2025? The point isn't that they work for free--it's that Larry, the owner, has put together a team of deeply knowledgeable professionals who act with integrity. They're not being squeezed by corporate overlords or pressured into shady upselling. They prefer to work with other professionals, and it shows. Service like that is worth going out of your way for.

My 30 year mechanic sold out to a big corporation so I found myself looking for a reputable small…read moreshop. Sheeler Auto Repair has an excellent reputation so I called and spoke with Demytrius about my annual servicing. Since I use only Amzoil, Demytrius agreed to do the oil change if I brought the Amzoil in. I made an appointment and was out within 30 minutes. While waiting I met another client who turned out to be a long time customer. He couldn't praise the shop and employees high enough. I left feeling I had chosen my new shop wisely.

It says a lot in itself if I find myself on Yelp to write a review (and even then, unfortunately, I…read moream the one to leave negative reviews if I've had a horrible experience somewhere) so here goes! I may be young but I cannot even begin to explain just how many times I've been in a rut due to car trouble. My experiences at various places (both big corporate auto shops and mom and pop type shops) have always been nothing but awful. It's gotten to where when my car needs to be looked at, I'm left feeling traumatized and reliving all of the times I've been taken advantage of, belittled, or ripped off by every place I've been to. Seriously, a man at Pep Boys spoke to me like I was a 5 year old child and caused a scene in front if other customers when I simply asked to make an appointment for a tire change. That's only one of over 100 experiences I've had. So when Triple A told me I needed to get a shift cable replaced, I immediately went into panic knowing I'd have to brace myself for wherever I went. I'm born and raised in the central Florida area and moved to Apopka almost 3 years ago. There's multiple auto shops around but I'd never been to Sheeler before until now. I came in and was out within an HOUR. Sadly, as a young woman, I never feel comfortable going alone to auto repair shops (that's another story for a different day!). I've learned to expect the worst. But this was by far the greatest experience. Everyone was super friendly, communicative and respectful. On my way home I immediately called several friends (other single women who have unfortunately had negative experiences with auto shops) and recommended Sheeler. I will 100000000% be coming back for any issues with my vehicle. Thank you sooooooo much for being honest and friendly. Words can't begin to describe what a relief this experience was!
