From our room you can smell a hint of the ocean when you open the sliding door to your balcony room. The Ocean surf Inn is the neighborhood of sunset beach and is a low key area so it's quiet . There are a few restaurants and bars that are walking distance and also near a gas station with decent prices on gas. There is parking , but the spaces can get a little tight, if you have a bigger vehicle, might want to consider parking in the street but check with management first . Our room had a mini freezer/fridge and microwave! Which we love because we always have leftovers and drinks we need to store. The flatscreen was a decent size and had the basic TV channels and some movie channels (HBO) etc. water pressure in the shower was strong and the A/C worked perfectly fine. Our king sized bed was just how I liked it, a tiny bit firm where I don't sink in and so soft . Thy do have a roof top patio I didn't get to enjoy but I'll keep a note for nextime I come. We had one question when we got to the house and we had our own specific contact at Deja Blue who responded immediately. We also let them know that we had a baby and they made sure the house had a pack and play for us to use there. These people are heartless crooks and should be completely ashamed of themselves. Money hungry and unconscionable and have absolutely NO business being in the hospitality business. 100 percent do NOT recommend. Negative 5 out of 5 stars.

After some initial discussion, Casey from Venture Yours was assigned our point person, and been he's awesome throughout the entire process! We chose the complete management option and everything has been very hands off. Once everything was signed and insured, and after we picked a start date, they came to do a photoshoot for our listing. It's been a few months since we've started, and I don't regret going with Venture Yours. The only thing we do now is coordinate with them to make sure our schedules don't conflict, and I'm told they're in the process of getting a portal up and running soon. They're a great company in Long Beach, and if I had another property, I'd go with them again in a heartbeat.

Check in is at 3pm, I was told at 2 the room isn't ready so we got to check out the beach nearby until it was time to check in. They have two entrances to the upper floor where the rooms are located. There was construction going on nearby so we had to be careful walking to and from the beach. The room was spacious, we got the cheaper rate room which meant our view was towards the street. The sink is outside the bathroom, the beds make noise when you move around, the room gets really stuffy without the window open! I think my pros are that this place is so close to the beach, they have free coffee, they have a jack in the box next door, and parking is included. The cons are that it's a bit sketchy, some homeless people around but they didn't bother us when we crossed paths, you can see people walking by if you open the window and it doesn't have a protective screen so don't open it! Overall, I would come back if I want to stay near a beach and have Jack in the box breakfast next door!
