Playing in the pool and hot tub

We stayed the night here right before our cruise. We were looking for a place with a shuttle to Carnival. They have it at an extra charge. It's close to Seal Beach with cute shops and restaurants nearby. They also have an indoor pool and hot tub. The breakfast is also a plus. Our only complaint is that the traffic outside the hotel window was noisy.

limited equipment but it gets it done!

BEST HOTEL IN SEAL BEACH! CLEAN & CLOSE TO IT ALL! Minimalist interiors make it easy for maids to keep clean and ready for your stay! SO close to main street and Electric Avenue! RUNNERS DREAM! You're right on Electric Avenue! Plus there is so little car traffic in the AM and PM that whether you're an early riser or a late evening runner, you're safe and sound here! SAFE! Requires a key to access the hotel and the access points are thru the lobby with a secure-key elevator. STAFF & SNACKS The staff (one person lol) is always friendly and the snacks they offer at the front are cheap! GYM Minimal but it gets it done! See pic! Enjoy yall!

This is a great hidden gem! When you walk into the lobby, you get an instant small town charm feeling. The lobby is decorated with large ocean fish and has a nice small sitting area. The coffee station area is amazing - I haven't seen anything this neat at other hotels. It has a unique coffee machine that even makes cold brew. There is also a pellet ice machine on the counter. The hotel is very nice and offers many extra! The coffee station, cookies, Pool, and close to Main Street. I traveled for work, I'll chose this hotel again if I get the chance.

Pacific Inn: Seal Beach Gem with Tiny Pillows, Big Vibes We stayed at the Pacific Inn in Seal Beach for two nights, and let me tell you--it's a solid choice. Check-in is a little late, but they were super nice and upgraded us since we arrived early and waited for our room to be ready. Plus, they were sprucing up the place with fresh paint on the walls and doors, which was nice to see. It's always good to know they're keeping things fresh! Location-wise, it's smack in the middle of Seal Beach. While it's not right on Main Street like the pictures suggest, it's close enough that you can either walk or drive, depending on your mood (or how many tacos you want from the Taco Bell across the street). Speaking of Taco Bell and McDonald's--yes, they're both right there, but you'll probably need your car for the drive-thru at night. The rooms? Decent size, clean, and they all surround the pool on the inside of the second floor, which gives it a cool courtyard vibe. You can keep an eye on the pool or jacuzzi action right from your room door! The cute balcony overlooks the green belt and parking lot, too. There were a few homeless people around, but it never felt unsafe. The beds were... okay. Not the worst, but the tiny pillows! I don't know where they found these couch-sized pillows, but I felt like a giant using a doll's pillow. Honestly, my only complaint was the pillow situation--if they upgrade those, it'd be a dream. The pricing? Pretty good for Southern California. It's tough to find a deal in this area, and for what you get--clean, comfy, and dog-friendly--it's solid. The customer service? Top-notch. Friendly, helpful, and the little store at the front was priced right. Everything was maybe 50 cents more than regular store prices, which is basically a bargain in hotel-land. The pool and jacuzzi area? Clean, fun, and just what we needed after a day of exploring. And breakfast? Simple but tasty, and the whole setup was super clean. Would I come back? Oh, for sure! Tiny pillows and all, this place is a winner.

I'm having a hard time writing this review. Let me just say, the staff is worth 5 stars! Everyone was so nice and helpful and accommodating. If anything, they went above and beyond my expectations. My rating is based on our room. I knew going in this hotel seemed average going in, but if it's clean, comfortable and safe, I don't mind. The common areas need a refresh and the hot tub looks like an oversized tub. Breakfast was average, but I like free juice and waffles. The parking is underground and you do get a parking pass. There is also off street parking next to the hotel. Location is everything about this place. Lots of food options! You are a half mile walking distance from the Marina to go to Ballast Point. You're a block away from Main Street and if you keep going, you're at Seal Beach. If you're really lazy, they have a shuttle available. I always forget something and CVS is across the street on PCH. The room is the reason for my rating. The room we were given smelled pretty bad. It turned out the previous guest smoked like a chimney. They went as far to cover the smoke alarm in plastic (I wished I took a picture). I know housekeeping tried to clean it by fumigating it, but at some point the chemicals resembled a natural gas smell. We alerted the staff late, but the hotel was too full to switch rooms and we'd have to switch again on the one room that was available, so we toughed it out. The bad thing about the cigarette smoke was it was wreaking havoc with my lungs all weekend (I was so happy to be close to ocean air), the smell stuck our jackets because we hung them on the clothing hooks. In the back of my mind, if they couldn't find another room for us the next day, I would have had to switch hotels or consider an AirBnb. Fortunately, they were able to find a new room for us and even called us to let us know. When we went to switch rooms, the smell was noticeably different. Again, I don't blame it on the staff. They are doing a great job, but the hotel is just okay.

My best friend and I stayed here for one night and we had a wonderful time!! The staff were so kind and helpful! They picked us up from the airport in the free shuttle and gave us rides around since we didn't have a rental car! They even had lawn chairs, umbrellas and toys for guests to take to the beach! Super clean and well taken care of!

I stayed over for Labor day weekend and the Pacific Inn staff did great overall. .. Pacific Inn Check In & Lobby: This is an older locally owned hotel with renovations to provide for a more modern look. The Pacific Inn is definitely aging well. The lobby was smaller in size but clean and spacious. The front desk staff was very friendly and pleasant throughout the visit. They had beach towels to purchase for $10 in case you forgot to pack one like we did. Pacific Inn Rooms: We had a queen suite with a balcony which provided a view of the park behind the hotel. Our room was freshly remodeled as the new paint gave the room a nice look. The bed sheets and pillows were comfortable and I slept well. The old school air conditioner on the floor worked well and kept the temperature in check. The bathroom remodel was evident with the new tiles an sliding doors. Well done. Miscellaneous: The location is primo as you can Main street is 10 minute walk away and there's plenty of locally owned restaurants, coffee shops, stores, etc to explore through. At the end of Main street is Seal Beach where you can check out the pier or be a beach bum all day. The only odd thing during our stay was that housekeeping never cleaned our room throughout our 4 night stay. We left the room around 11 am daily so I'm not sure what to think. However, what i really appreciated was how the hotel checked on us via text message throughout our stay. We requested some fresh towels and they were waiting in our room once we returned. Overall, I'll definitely consider staying at the Pacific Inn again. The rate was reasonable and the location was fantastic. It's a short drive to Long Beach and Huntington Beach where our friends were from. Enjoy!

However, in fairness to Hampton Inn, they were booked full the night before due to a double whammy of the first day of California State University Long Beach graduation ceremonies and Seal Beach's Gay Pride parade. And they offered free snacks while we waited in the lobby for our room to become ready. On the flip side of that we really appreciated the hotel's generous standard policy of a noon checkout time. The whole hotel was very clean: lobby, cafe, elevators, and room. Our stay was very quiet due to it being a Sunday night, which is typically the slowest night of the week for hotels. We'd booked the suite with king bed and whirlpool bath on the top floor. The tree tops provided a nice foliage view out the windows. Two layers of roll down window shades offered filtered light or full blackout. The bathroom was spacious. We didn't end up using the whirlpool bath but the dual head shower which features an overhead rain head and handheld wall mount shower was a nice surprise. If you don't have one at home (we don't) and have never tried one (I hadn't) it's worth experiencing, especially if you've been wondering about having one installed someday. Water pressure and heat were good. The shower itself was also spacious, a good 4'W x 5'L is my guess. I was told only the suites with whirlpool baths have the overhead rain shower by a young employee who inflected her answer like a question so maybe you should double check that. A great array of affordable eateries are on the hotel's parking lot: Del Taco, Subway, Domino's Pizza, Starbucks, Sunny Side Cafe, and and a Sushi/Poki Bowl place. The sushi place is only open Monday through Friday. Hampton Inn doesn't post their breakfast menu for the Seal Beach location online (at this writing). It included all the basic selections that will hit the spot. Scrambled eggs, sausage patties (which may become bacon strips on other days), muffins or scones, oatmeal with choice of brown sugar and dried cranberries, cold cereals w/milk, flavored yogurts, chopped fruit combo, whole fruits (banana/apple/orange), coffee, tea and juices (orange, apple and two others I don't recall). I don't remember if they offered waffles/pancakes.

The front desk people were friendly and the location has some eateries shops and a Trader Joe's almost right next door, as well as a Costco behind that. Despite the location being on a fairly busy street, the soundproofing seemed really good here as I did not hear any traffic noise while sleeping (I did close the heavy blackout curtain) and it seemed nice and quiet. We got the large one King 'bedroom' suite, which has the bedroom completely separate with a door, from the outside area with the bathroom, full size kitchen and queen sized sofabed. This is great if you want two separate rooms. The kitchen was really large as well, with marble type countertops and even a large kitchen island. There seems to be plenty of parking here and we could even park our car so that we could see it from the room. The breakfast was standard Homewood Suites, ie., better than a lot of included breakfasts at other hotels. Compared to another Homewood that I stayed at recently near Disneyland, it's like night and day! This one is so much better. A pleasant surprise!…read more A friend and I booked this hotel for the nearby Day Trip Festival for a single night. It is just a quick 10-15 minute drive to the Queen Mary Waterfront where the festival was held. The outside of this hotel looks a bit sketchy to be quite frank. The room was huge. There was a ton of walking space around the bed which was fantastic. I was also not expecting there to be a balcony so that was a fun touch. There wasn't any furniture on the balcony but it was nice to stand on and get some fresh air. The decor and bedding was super cute. I'm glad there was a little mini fridge available too. The bathroom was also very spacious with a large shower. I liked the little stool in there and the attention to detail they paid with folding the towels and tissues. The AC blasted super cold which was great for the SoCal heat. Some of the amenities were dated like the AC unit itself and the TV, but is super understandable considering the type of hotel it is.
