The outdoor beer garden offers a lot of seating, shade and some great vibes. A perfect place to bring a bunch of friends to grab some food and enjoy some beer (brewed on the property). We all enjoyed some amazing beers and we ordered quite a few things on the menu to try. Everything was delicious, I was very impressed. Most of the time breweries don't really have the best food, but this one had amazing food! Service was prompt and very friendly. I got a blonde brew and it was so good and refreshing. Bia Garden is a fun & cute outdoor (no indoor) dining/drinking place on Sunset. They have many heaters but I recommend bringing a jacket if the weather is going to be chilly at night. Each bench has a blanket so it helps if you are willing to use it. I am a bit of germaphobe so I couldn't use it. lol My friends and I, all loved the vibe. We ordered many items on the menu but there were only two things we liked; the Mackerel and the Eggplant. Unfortunately the rest of the food was not good at all. Another thing was that none of us got buzzed from the beer. lol Majority of us agreed that the beer was watery but maybe that wasn't a bad thing. hahahaha Again, it's a cute place especially for summer time. And the Mackerel was really really good. I will probably go back for it. read more

I love this place so much. You can see how thoughtful they were with planning the space and construction and details and materials. Truly a gorgeous place to be in. Also the menu, beer, wine, food, all so well done. We got the schnitzel, mackerel, sauerkraut, cucumber and potato salad, eggplant, birthday cake. All was super delicious. We often eat fish at restaurants and struggle with it and we were so happy and surprised to see chopsticks. The cucumber and potato salad was flavored perfectly. The mackerel was amazing. The only critical feedback was the schnitzel was the least exciting when usually fried food is my favorite. It was almost too thin as if I was mostly eating breaded parts and flavor felt very mild. Maybe a tad more salt or garlic? Anyway, just my 2 cents if helpful. A 5 out of 5 overall. Really excited to bring more family and friends. read more

Great ambiance and great place to meet up with friends. I do love the "pay as you go" service we received. Made it easy for my buddy to invite our group to hang at the beer garden for her birthday, arrive and leave when we needed to. Food was as-expected and was on-par for German fare. The kartoffelsalat was prepared like I had it only weeks prior in Berlin, and the rostbratwürst was deliciously prepared too. Our group enjoyed a night of drinking beer (brewed in-house) and wine. The Austrian orange wine they had on menu was perfect to enjoy a warm summer evening. I would highly recommend this spot for a date night, an evening meet with friends, a post-work unwind, or even a calm family dinner over traditional German food. As for the kid-friendliness, I did see a few families enjoying meals with their children. They were well-behaved and it did not seem that the staff treated them any differently. When dining al fresco it should never mean letting your children run around loudly and aimlessly. Add a side of sauerkraut and potato salad for $5 each $10 total (no warm sides, surprisingly no fries which traditionally go with schnitzel) Wash it down with their delicious $10 beer. Complete your experience with the $15 birthday cake. $70 plus tip equals $85 (everything is pay as you go with waiter standing right next to you as you pay and tip plus grab your own cutlery) P.S. - Have a starter and a 2nd beer on top of that --and you are approaching "$$$ Fine Dining" territory... The 4 stars is for atmosphere, the nice October weather and our friendly server that took our order. I think I'll go an unofficial 3 stars on the rest. Street parking is tough but across sunset and jaywalking works out. They have valet, but that's not for me. There isn't anyone to greet you or tell you how it works. I think you can either order at the little window or sit, or you can grab a menu , sit, flag a server and get it done tableside. I laughed when she described the food options. "Schnitzel with a side of lemon." Lemon isn't a side, so a big ol' flat piece of breaded pork on a plate, nothing else, ok. "What do you suggest as a side?" I asked. "The local favorite salad is the daikon, and it is raw, seasoned with salt and pepper." You know, I think the locals have forgotten what food is. We split an enormous pork schnitzel and a scoop of potato salad. Both very tasty, I mean the food was really good, it was just served so un-German-ly or even un -Asian fusion or whatever we're going for here. I need some sauce and some sides, not just a plate of meat. Here is what I would do. Rather than give you a pizza sized piece of pork for $36, split it in half and fill the other side of the plate with that scoop of potato salad and a pile of that dry daikon. I feel sure that whoever fried this tasty pork can make some kind of sauce for it. If we can't get a nice chicken fried steak gravy or maybe a mustard sauce, then just something to give it a little wet, please. Some review described this as a work in progress, I kind of get that. I don't mind paying table side in advance, but an 18/20/25% tip structure on people dropping off food to your table on a patio with no heaters in sight? I wish you'd started with 10%, no one checked in and we had to get our own water. The Oktoberfest beer was solid though. Good luck. read more

Was so excited to try this place because I love German food and beer gardens are usually a great place to bring kids. The ambiance was great and the food was good (a bit overpriced) but be aware that this is not a place to bring kids because the owner will be watching them like a hawk and constantly telling you that they have to stay at your table if they wander away even if they are playing quietly and not being disruptive. We were so put off and offended because our kids are very well behaved and the owners were very rude to us. Sadly we will stick to other breweries and the other beer garden in town that happily welcomes kids, The Red Lion. read more

Do not go here. The owner Hue is one of the worst humans I've ever encountered, and I worked in the service industry for 10 years. She is rude, hostile, inconsiderate, and overall a really terrible person who should not work in hospitality. We hosted my sons first birthday here, an adult party with 7 tables full of people, over 1k spent on food and beverage. We were consistently harassed by staff, and the night ended with Hue standing over our table (with a one year old mind you) and chastising us for bringing a cake that we kept hidden for 3 hours until one of their servers said it was okay and brought us plates. I am mad that I gave this business any of our money, I would not support them. read more

what a huge disappointment... i live close by and have been waiting for this place to open for years. we went with some friends and it was so sad. the atmosphere was honestly incredible! the patio is beautiful in every way. if you're just coming for a beer and good vibes this is it! but don't get too thirsty because a cup of water is $3!!!! It's confusing when you first walk in as there is no clear instruction or service as to tell you where to sit. The wait staff were friendly but we had to flag them down a few times in order to receive service. the food was honestly so bad!! tasteless, bland, boring, and so expensive for what it is. i really hope that they improve their menu or change the food! i would love for this place to be good, but right now it is just hugely disappointing! read more

Oh I so wanted to like this place but the name should have signaled it for me Bia Garden referring to Beer Garden. Though the atmosphere is pretty good it's quite large and feels too big overall not as special as if it were smaller, but it is a beer garden so pretty expected. But that aside food is really not good. Pretty basic, boring and tasteless and not cheap. We just wanted a Bratwurst in a bun with kraut and we had to order the app with 3 little Brats because we was told the main Brat comes solo, no bun, no kraut etc. and a big plate of Kraut that came for his 3 little Brat's was so unnecessary and a waste of $. We also had the eggplant and it was wet and mushy, and the beet salad was just missing shavings of cheese, hint of something white on top not sure what that was, but seriously not enough. And some kids were walking around trying to sell us ice cream seemed to be friends of family/owners or whoever but it was odd. I wish them luck but they got to improve the food big time. read more
