If you ship using this business, you should know that even though he has private insurance if UPS or Fed/Ex damages or looses your shipment, he is very slow to use it. I had to file a Small Claims Court law suit against the owner after UPS damaged my shipment on the same day that I gave it to this business. The currant owner didn't start this store, his father gave it to him. Owners that never had to start their own business, treat customers a lot differently. I will keep this owner in court for a full day, waiting for my case to be called. Find another location to ship with, I did. read more

Great place in Hollywood, just off Sunset Blvd. I needed a box because I can't trust the leasing office at my building to accept packages for me.This place is amazing. Great location, friendly staff, great service. Your mail and packages will arrive safe and sound. I have lived in the Hollywood area for about 5 years. So thankful for finding this place in the beginning of those 5 years. Gerry has always been so helpful with all of my needs. I never have to worry about having the right sized box....he will cut them to perfectly fit your package. He is such a great business man and also a sweet person. Walking in the door everytime is like seeing family. So welcoming and just a great happy feeling. I give this amazing business 10 stars...but yelp only allows 5. Sooo, this is my first Yelp review ever, and it was a bad review that inspired me to write this. Jerry & Yaicy (sp?) you guys are the greatest and sweetest pair as everyone has already stated. Now JOHN! John you are the bomb.com! for anyone that has read the review stating that he has a bad attitude or what not, i dare say that that reviewer was the one having a bad day and not the other way around. On more than one occasion John has stayed well after closing to help me out. The first time i locked my keys in my car, i called triple A on my cell and he could've left and went home but he was kind enough to give me a bottle of water and kept me company while i waited for triple A to show up. On another occasion i accidentally locked both me and him OUT of the building and had to wait almost an extra 20 minutes after closing hours in order to get back in, he was clearly anxious to get his day done and over with and although he had all right to be pissed off, he was cool through the ordeal i had caused, and for both situations i am grateful. This business is professional and super friendly all rolled in one, a rarity in these days, so do not ever second guess choosing Sunset Mailboxes for all your mail affiliated needs. Best Mail Box service in town... Staff is awesome and very professional... always smiling and there to help their customers... Free parking easier in the morning... but still free all day... you get mail from Amazon or anything sent by UPS within one hour you get an email notification... so PROFESSIONAL... They also sell stamps and offer excellent USPS Services... They are market price and worth every $ for Mail Box Rental Service. read more

He yelled at me not to come to his place again. He overcharged me for delivery package first. then refused service and threw away my package out of the door. Never do my business at that place again. I can't begin to explain in words how great Gerry has been to me at Sunset Mailboxes over the years. How about the first time I ever walked in the store and I was late due to me goofing off all day to send out an important package (usual M.O. for me) as I arrived to store late with package, not even in a box or taped up... and certain to feel wrath of my employer over this, Gerry quickly taped up box and James, the co-owner of Sunset mailbox literally got in his own car drove through rush hour traffic and caught up with the FedEX guy to make sure my package got out that day (seriously!)? Try doing that at ANY of the other shipping stores... Or how every time I walk in the store, Gerry works hard to save me $. Anytime, for whatever reason (usually due to my travel) that I use an establishment other then Sunset Blvd for shipping it's a cruel financial & customer service reminder that there is only 1 Sunset Blvd Mailboxes Postal Service.
