Sunset mailboxes is great! It's in a really convenient location to stop and get your mail any time day or night. The customer service is great! they send notices to your email and phone when you receive a package so you know that you can go pick it up right away. The packages I get always stay safe and secure until I pick them up and it's simple and quick to mail anything from there! Locally owned. Great service. I wish all shipping/mailbox places were this good. I am staying in the neighborhood and had to ship something fragile and oddly shaped home. The guy (owner?) used pieces of cardboard, paper, tape, and a box to protect my items. I was impressed. He had a mirrored computer display that faced me so I could watch as he filled out the addresses and make any corrections. He then pulled up a side by side price comparison of FedEx and UPS so I could choose. USPS even came in to pick up while I was being helped. It took the guy away from my order for about 10 seconds but he still apologized for the interruption. I would go here before going to FedEx or UPS because of the superior service. read more

Been using this mailbox for years. Gerry and his wife are amazing, helpful and discrete. I have had problems with stalkers and other weirdos since I do TV work. The staff here will never disclose that you have a box here or let anyone take your belongings on your behalf without your permission. The level of customer service here is priceless. They are super organised and have an amazing auto notification system so I get a text whenever stuff gets mailed to me! I've had my mailbox here for a year now, and the staff is always nice and I've never had an important letter or package go missing. I get automatic notifications when packages arrive, which is something my last mailbox place never did. There's always parking available, and for Hollywood, it's pretty easy to get in and get out. She made extra care that my package would arrive intact without compromising the artistic look of the wrapping. Had a great experience here. Was shipping a very fragile, large "art window" (pane of glass in a wood frame) and needed a reliable place to do the packing. I believe Gerry was helping me. He was very patient, took about 10 - 15 min to wrap everything up and then didn't even charge me for packing/supplies/labor. Hello. This is my first Yelp review. There are certain companies and services that make our lives easier and more enjoyable and when I find them, I'm happy to spread the word. Sunset Mailboxes and Gerry, the owner, definitely qualify in that category! When I first signed up for a mailbox, I was actually going to sign up at one around the corner, because of proximity to my house. I had called in advance about prices, but as I was signing up, the other company started upcharging me for various things and I decided to walk around the corner and give Sunset Mailboxes a shot instead. I've been there over a year now and am a happy customer. My business partner and I have several companies and we get mail coming to a number of different names. Sunset Mailboxes always keeps it straight. They email me when I get packages in. They will forward mail when I'm out of town, and for a reasonable price. Best of all, Gerry, the owner, who seems to always be there, is a super sweet person. It's always a joy to go in there and get to say hi to him---and he always remembers my name. This is pretty amazing, because until recently, I always had my assistants picking up the mail--so I've hardly been there. Who thought picking up the mail could make life a little more joyful? If you ship using this business, you should know that even though he has private insurance if UPS or Fed/Ex damages or looses your shipment, he is very slow to use it. I had to file a Small Claims Court law suit against the owner after UPS damaged my shipment on the same day that I gave it to this business. The currant owner didn't start this store, his father gave it to him. Owners that never had to start their own business, treat customers a lot differently. I will keep this owner in court for a full day, waiting for my case to be called. Find another location to ship with, I did. read more
