Service was a little lacking as we were not offered any water and all the hot dishes, utensils, coffees were being set on the table right next to a toddler (the last place where these are safe). We also had to ask nunerous times for more creamer. It was nice, however, that they offered my two year old coloring pages and some crayons. I ordered the blueberry cheesecake French toast. I thought it was really good. It had the perfect amount of stuffing and blueberry topping. I did, however, think it was a bit pricey as it did not come with any side like potatoes or eggs. My dad enjoyed his florentine omelette. It was cheesy inside. The potatoes were seasoned. The chocolate pancakes were big and 3 come in an order and were shared by my younger cousins. Sunset Grill has been one of my go-to breakfast places when I spontaneously decide I'm craving to go out because it's generally very consistent no matter which one I go to, and the meal I enjoy is priced pretty fairly (the sunset super)! Wandering to find a place to have lunch and stumbled upon this place. It looks similar to Cora but the first thing I noticed is the tables and chairs are sticky. The open kitchen fans are not really powerful. The waitress are good to always around us waiting for us to make a final decision. The Sunset Pancakes Supreme which served with fresh strawberries, strawberry preserves and whipped cream is sufficient to fill my stomach. The pancakes are soft and layered them with whipped cream and maple syrup in between makes them taste so yummy. The Benedict looks good but I did not try it. And their coffee is really good as well. My partner wasn't so thrilled with his food. He asked for well done eggs and found his yolk was still a it running. His French toast wasn't very French toast like - it looked more egg toast than sweet with cinnamon and nutmeg etc. He was also surprised the sunset special didn't come with toast as most places serve toast with plates containing eggs, sausage, home fries and add ons. Terrible food and lazy workers. I ordered my breakfast combo through Uber Eats and my home fries was included with the breakfast combo and guess what?? the home fries was not even home fries. Sunset Grill gave me home fries in the form of MANY CRUMBS. What the hell is that?? I was given many CRUMBS of fries. This is where i say the workers are lazy and can't make fries that actually look like fries. It's like these lazy workers don't wana cook real fries and it serves you crumbs instead. Terrible food and terrible quality overall. I reported Sunset Grill to Uber Eats and Uber Eats even agreed with me that Sunset Grill is terrible service. Uber Eats also gave me a full refund for the restaurant's terrible service. I'm so glad i got a full refund from Uber Eats because this restaurant is a scam and they don't deserve my money. I tried one of the locations a few days ago and wanted to come back. Me and my friends ended up going to a different location, located on Eglinton Avenue. The location was by far some of the worst service I've experienced in any restaurant. To start off, out server was bad. She had the worst attitude and it made us a little upset. I think it's bad when the conversation at the table is about the server the entire meal. I can't begin to explain how much I disliked the nasty attitude and energy she was giving us. It gets even worse. In the middle of our meal, one of my friends finds hair in her food. The server removed the items and after that we didn't hear from her. She didn't do anything to comfort our friend who was visibly upset. We had to ask for a manager, who removed the items from our bill. This location was so bad that I could not possibly come back. I ordered corn beef hash with 3 eggs and hashbrowns with toast my scrambled eggs with cheese weren't cooked all way runny and cheese not melted all the way my corned beef was Spicy and then on second bite I found a grey HAIR. in my hash! My toast was best part as my hashbrowns were kind of burnt when I gave plate to waitress and showed hair she said I'll take it off got to register and she took only a few dollars off I still was made to pay for my eggs and hashbrowns with toast! My wife and I have come to this location since it opened. We returned today, my wife ordered an Omelette with Feta and only received a view of them. She paid $11.49 for a egg white omelette and it was also very greasy. I ordered the Pealmeal bacon and eggs, asking for the pealmeal to be done soft. I had asked if they could put a few onions in the potatoes and she went to one of the owners and he refused to do it as it was against company policy. The pealmeal was very small, not like all the other times, and was very thin and uneatable.She showed it to the owner and he was so generous, he took off my coffee from the bill. A few weeks back I had come in and sat at a table and the Chinese waitress served people around me and never got to me for 10 minutes, and I walked out. When it was first opened for several months, I was with another couple and went to pay. The other owner (2 owners), took my $100 bill and we were chatting. He handed me my change and I went back to my table. I realized that he actually had given me back $170.00 and had returned my $100 by mistake. After today, I'm sorry that I was so honest with him. We make a habit of going there when we have doctor's and hospital appointments, but we have vowed to never step foot in that estabiishment again. They have appeared to have lost their Sri Lankan cook, he was always there, always did a good job, and was not so cheap as these owners are now. Avoid this place at all costs. read more

Now I'm wondering if they're fake reviews because this was absolutely our worst take out breakfast experience. First off, the customer service was garbage, we were barely acknowledged when we walked in the door, and treated in a rude and unprofessional manner by the staff at the store. They seemed busy so we gave them that excuse regarding their mannerisms but When we got our food, the lady giving the food acted like she was doing us the biggest favour. The food itself was mediocre at best, we ordered the sunset sandwich (supposedly their signature meal). The sandwich came in a toast (even thought the store pics showed a bun), the house "fries" are actually boiled potatoes, and the "veggies" are one piece of cucumber and one piece of carrot. Guess they didn't want to break the bank. The bagel came toasted with a knife and cream cheese to put on ourselves, which makes no sense since it's amidst COVID and there's no place for us to add it on. Would not recommend!!!! read more
