I have to start by saying I have never written a negative review about a company before. I am a firm believer that you shouldn't hide behind your computer. If you have a problem you should address the company, the management, owner, whatever it takes and give them a chance to resolve the issue. I tried that, and they were unprofessional and incredibly rude to me. So I'm writing about my experience. THESE PEOPLE ARE THIEVES! I STRONGLY encourage you to NEVER use this company. My experience with this company started out great. They were responsive and helpful at first. But the moment something went wrong they turned out to have absolutely NO customer service, no apologies for things that went wrong, and put the blame completely on us. Problem 1. We had 12 women on board and were told there would be water provided. There were exactly TWO bottles of water on the bus. That's it. Problem 2. We paid $18 per person for lunch at a winery chosen by Sunset Limousine. We were told this would include sandwiches, salads and desert. We did not receive any desert and were ushered quickly out of the winer. We also were not given all of our tastings. SL says this is OUR fault for not asking for the entire lunch we paid for, and they also say it's the wineries fault not their own - however, I paid Sunset Limousine for this lunch. I did not pay or coordinate with the winery directly. I did it all through SL and they just repeatedly told me it was my fault for not asking for the desert. Problem 3. We sat in about an hour of traffic coming home running our time exactly 1 hour and 35 minutes over the estimated time. They automatically billed my card for 2.5 hours of time. Problem 4. I kindly thanked them for a great experience and noted these few discrepancies asking if they could adjust the over time charges to make up for the lack of water, incomplete lunches and extra time that we did not take. I would never be writing this review without first trying to resolve the issue and give the company the chance to make it right, but they refuse. They took my money without my permission for overages that did not happen. Once I addressed it, not only was every response incredibly rude, sarcastic, and insulting, but they REFUSED to take any responsibility for any wrong doing, refuse to refund me for the OVER charging of the drive time, refuse to discuss what went wrong at lunch and blame everything on me as the customer. This company is ran by scammers who do not care about the service they provide you - they only care about your credit card number. Lets get started, We hired them for Party Bus Transportation to and from Prom. Pick Up was Temecula, taking us to the Nixon Library in Yorba Linda California. The total price was about $1,600 approximately for the party bus. The bus driver was very kind - his name was Tom, I believe - an older gentleman. We hopped on the bus and were off to prom. after about 30 minutes, we were on the 91 freeway, when the bus's engine broke down. The driver told us that he had called for another bus to come, but it would just be leaving Murrieta in about 10 minutes so it would take about an hour to get to us. Since we would be late to prom, we asked about alternative ways for us to make it to prom like uber - since we were only about 7 miles away. He said, yes yes, call the Ubers and I will pay you. Then we clarified that we would have the replacement party bus for the ride home, and he said yes, it would be there for us when it was time to go. So we hopped out of the bus which was becoming too hot because there was no AC anymore and waited standing on the side of the freeway for our Ubers to arrive. Tom opened his wallet and paid us in cash for what the uber would charge us - and even gave one girl his credit card for the app for payment. At this point, we were saddened that the bus broke down on the way to prom - but the driver was helpful so at this point we were thinking of only asking a partial refund - atlease we would have the party bus for the trip home. SIKE - but i havent gotten to that part of the story yet. So we took the ubers to prom. Prom's over, and we come to find out that we DONT HAVE A PARTY BUS- rather they gave us a normal bus with normal seats, no lights, no music, no water, no NOTHING. We didnt hire you for transportation! - we hired you for the party bus experience. So we sit in silence the whole ride home since theres not much else to do. The next business day, I call the office. A gentleman answered the phone, and I told him that I was a rider on the bus and was unhappy with the transportation services and wanted to discuss it in hopes of coming to an agreement about a refund. He sounded like the owner of the business and sharply said "I already talked to mrs. (last name), this is over" or something along those lines, then said "weve been doing this for 8 years, I think we went above and beyond by giving you that bus home - you know most limousine services wouldve left you stranded." Let me note that I was extremely polite on the phone, calling him sir, and trying my best to make him see from my perspective by saying "I understand that this is your business and you've got to make a profit, but you can't do that by providing this kind of service. Imagine you're a HS senior who makes minimum wage and had to pay about 80 for yourself and your date just to ride on this bus for your SENIOR prom - you have to consider your clients". He said that the furthest he would go would be to refund about $15 per rider. ARE YOU KIDDING ME. let this be a lesson - this is how you run your business into the ground by not provideing fair and moral customer service. He asked me "did you get there and back safe?", and rather yelled it into the phone rather than asking, and i said "No! We had to stand on the side of the busy freeway! And we didnt hire your for transportation - we couldve driven ourselves, but we paid for a party bus!" and he said ***there is no where in the contract that specifies what vehicle youre getting***. What a SCAM! He said that they got us there and back and that all they were obligated to do. like WHAT? By that logic, how could you determine the price we were to pay - you determine prices based on which vehicle and how much time used - yet youre saying that we can pay you for a party bus - but get any other car instead?! Then, HE HUNG UP ON ME - even after I wasz being polite but stern the entire conversation! So I called back and told him that I had already consulted by families attorney and would be filing a complaint with the better business bureau, and now with any other associations that this business is assosiated with. I used this company to do a bachelorette party for my sister In law wine tasting in Temecula. I checked out their reviews online and they were all positive. I had a amazing experience with the woman that did our booking and was really happy with the on time pick up and great personality of our driver..... Then we got into our expedition limo and even though it is supposed to seat up to 16 and there were only 9 of us the air was not cooling down the space. It was pretty much the same temperature inside and out. All of us girls dressed up and ready to have a fun day were uncomfortable and sweating. I complained to the driver and he said he would check it out at our first stop. When we returned from that tasting, he tried to tell me that that's normal because its a very large car and it was a really hot day..... Not buying it, it's not my first or third time in a limo and that was bull. After the second stop I saw another limo driver checking out the interior temp, as I was outside calling to complain- which was not answered but went to a voicemail. I left a very aggravated message. after i approached the other driver he agreed that the air was not working, but off to the next winery in 85 degree weather with the windows down. Someone got my message but didn't call me back- they called our driver. Which offered us no option but at the end of our day one extra winery stop at no charge. Well, kinda, because we had to pay for the tasting still..... I was never contacted by the company directly to offer any apologies or compensation for the miserable conditions. I was not able to enjoy my day since all the girls were so unhappy I spent my time trying to contact someone to resolve the situation. At the end of the trip it was revealed that there had already been complaints about this vehicle and it had been in the shop for this issue. I used Sunset Limo for our annual wine tasting trip to Temecula with 22 friends and family and what a great experience. When booking I dealt with Sandy and she was a pleaure to deal with. She was friendly and made it easy to book. Our driver was Craig. He showed up early and was very courteous and friendly and made sure we stuck to the schedule. The limo bus itself was nice and we took advantage of the sound system and complimentary Champagne. Everyone loved the bus and this is definitely the way to go! We booked for 5 hours and loved every minute. We usually take the Grapevine (or Grapeline?) but decided to make it a more private affair. Most of the experience was great but the only downside was the fact that Sandy told me they had a storage space underneath when we booked but the driver apparently didnt think they did. I asked him a few times are you sure? He said yes sorry. We took an ice chest because we brought our lunch for a picnic stop at Longshadow and had to leave it in the aisle and was in the way for the guests by the front exit of the bus. And with our 3 stops we purchased wine and had to stack the boxes on the sides. I asked about it when I booked and was told this was an option. Sadly this was an issue that I can't ignore. As you can imagine exiting the vehicle was a task and we had to move the icechest at every stop. In their defense the driver did mention that he was only with them for a month but you would think that he would know whether or not they have storage. Regardless we had a great experience as we had a great group that had fun. We may use them again but i'll make sure to book a more experienced driver and be sure that storage is available. read more

AMAZING!!! If i had to use one word to describe this company.. amazing would be it. Starting from the booking process, all the way down to the day of the event. It was such an easy process. I needed to plan a private wine tour for my best friend's bachelorette party and Sandy was great from the get go. She was very helpful and always answered my questions. Our limo driver, Doug, arrived 30 minutes early. He was very nice. He was dressed nice and was very entertaining with jokes. Can't recommend using this company. We were supposed to have a nice 5 hour limo trip for eight, touring a couple of winery's and having lunch. Driver drove way too fast, air conditioning didn't work in the back of the limo. Worse yet was the total screw up at the winery's. The first one didn't know we were coming, lunch wasn't served where we had been told it would be. The following reply by Sandy C is totally made up for purposes of defusing the impact of the review. First, I am not using a fake name. It's my real name. Focus on the facts. We were supposed to have 5 hour tour. Only lasted about 4. No additional money was demanded for an extra hour, nor did we request an extra hour. And, since the trip was an award, we weren't directly paying the cost, the trip was billed to a third party. A lunch was included in the booking. We were asked by the gentlemen who answers the phone to get a head count of who wanted tri-tip, chicken or a vegetarian lunch, which I provided him days before the tour began. At our first winery stop, where we were expecting to be served lunch, the first question from staff was if we had a reservation. After the tasting session, we went to another winery for a walk-up lunch (no tri-tip, chicken or vegetarian options on the menu). If Sandy C knows who we are, it sure would have been nice if she or someone in the company picked up the phone to talk to us about the trip, rather than to make up a lie about us trying to get out of an extra hour of billing. We rented a limo from Sunset last week to take my son and his friends out for a special celebration. His birthday party had been delayed for months due to illness, and we wanted to make it a celebration worth waiting for. I'm so glad we chose this company, because I couldn't be happier with the quality and service we received. I reserved the limo with just a few days notice, so I was pleasantly surprised that the lady on the phone was so good-natured about my questions. I expected some displeasure at the short time frame I was requesting. No problem. The limo arrived about ten minutes early. The driver was friendly and helpful. Available if you had a question or request, but pretty much stayed out of the way otherwise. The limo they sent, had the wow-factor, for sure. When I heard my son's "WHOA" when he first looked out the window, I knew I'd done good. Well, Sunset Limo did ... they sent an awesome Black stretch SUV Limo, much bigger and cooler than I expected. It was tastefully decorated with Birthday decorations inside. Photos always look so "las vegas" of these limos, but the interior was more luxury (and less neon) than I expected. The night went off without a hitch. All the guests had a great time, especially the birthday boy. It was the most stress-free party I've ever hosted. The price was very reasonable, and there were no unexpected fees tacked onto the bill. I would use this company again in a heartbeat. Sandy was kind enough to provide a 20 passenger party bus for the same amount it would cost to rent the Excursion which was a 40 dollar difference an hour! Good thing we got the bus because we were able to dance between wineries. :) there were plenty of water, wine glasses, and champagne that the company provided for us too. I really hate to leave a poor review, especially for a small business.Tom and Sandy do not care about their customers and are super unprofessional. I wanted to give them my business and they double booked my reservation after I gave them my credit card. I gave them a 2nd chance to make the situation better and they refused to accommodate an issue they messed up on. Even after that, I tried getting another bus which Sandy told me was available and to call in the next morning because they were closing, so I called first thing in the morning to make yet another reservation. Once Tom knew I was calling he hung up on me, so I called back and he didn't give me a chance to talk and recommended I go else where (Side note: I was never rude to them, never raised my voice and was super respectful the entire time). I told him I was willing to get the smaller bus and he said it was already reserved which I know is B.S. because Sandy told me it was. Use a different service. We used service for a wine tasting. It was a very hot day and they did not have air conditioning!! The driver said the air was on full blast but it was only hot air blowing. We live in the area and told him shortest route to take, so we can use time at winery instead of driving. He took a different route. We were going to ask for a discount because it was dangerously hot in the back. We paid cash and a full tip and the end of the service. Then found the company charged our credit card for time over the allotted service! This was not brought up to our attention when we were dropped off. The service is subpar. Better hope your bus does not break down !!!!!!! I hired Sunset Limousine to take 20 friends to Temecula for wine tasting on 10-29. Half way there their bus broke down and was only going 15mph we were in this bus for over an hr driving like this. The driver said the Turbo on the engine went out "again". We had to call 4 Ubers to pick us up when we finally made it to Temecula. We were 2 hrs late to the winery, we paid to see 3 wineries and lunch...we only made it to 2 wineries and lunch was late. Our group was separated the most of the time with transportation issues ( the biggest reason you hire a limousine company ) AND when we needed to get back to San Diego they could only take 9 of the 20 people back at the time we scheduled to be back. The other 11 people had to wait 3 hrs later to get back until the next bus ( with a broken widow ) could pick us all up. The entire trip cost $2,000.00 and the owners ( Tom and Sandy ) told us they were only crediting us $330 bucks back. The group spent more in Ubers and extra dinners then $330 bucks! I used Sunset Limo for a recent Birthday wine tour in Temecula. The booking process was SO EASY and convenient. Sandy was great about helping to schedule the wineries, answering my many questions, and working with me to plan the day. On the day of the tour, our driver Justine called me 30 minutes prior to the expected arrival time to confirm and let me know she had arrived early. :) The limo was really nice. I think the interior had recently been re-done. THey had even added little birthday decorations to the windows! Justine was awesome! She was so helpful and friendly with the entire group. When we wanted to stay a little longer at the first winery to take a tour, she called the other wineriees to re-schedule our time. She sent me text messages to keep me updated on the schedule. She took pictures of our group, answered questions, and was just really accomodating to everything we asked. She was also really laid back. She let us do our thing at the wineries without intruding. We just used sunset this past weekend for a wine tasting tour. Setting everything up was so easy. I origanially wanted the weekend special 5 hours with a limo, but waited too long to book and they were all already booked : / but Kyle was supper accommodating and was able to get us a van for cheaper!! : ) Sandy in their office was awesome at helping prepare for our tasting day! Emailing me the lunch menu and double checking everything! She made me feel confidant that we picked the right place! So what started as a 3 winery and lunch tour ended up as a 5 winery and lunch tour!!! It was so great!! Raymond took us to two awesome extra winery's! Great service!!! After reading the reviews on Yelp, I decided to go with Sunset Limousines to book a limobus for my husband's 30th birthday. We had 25 guests visit 3 wineries in Temecula. I spoke with Megan several times before the actual event. Each time, she was very friendly and easy to work with. On the day of the event, the limobus came on time. Our driver was Kyle and he was very low-key and laid back. He was responsive to all our requests and was just what we wanted in a driver. The only reason why I didn't give 5 stars is though the bus was very nice and clean, it wasn't as plush as other limobuses I've been on. The sound system could've been better. I am so disappointed with my experience with Sunset Limousine. The day itself was nice. Our driver was professional and kind however when contacting the company regarding a couple concerns and a surprise charge to our credit card we were treated with terrible customer service. We were basically mocked about not receiving our complete meal at one of our stops during our wine tour being told that they will call that winery and have them "mail" us the rest of the meal. We were told we should have asked for what we didn't receive, however if you pay for a service you shouldn't have to ASK for anything. It's paid for. We got stuck in traffic on the way home due to an accident. This put us an hour and a half past schedule and we were billed for two and a half hours with no explanation. We of course understand that any delay we cause would cost us but no where in anything that we signed did it say we could be charged due to delays caused by traffic. To be perfectly honest all would have been forgiven had the owner been kind, understanding, and apologetic for any misunderstanding. Instead he was rude, mean, and sarcastic throughout the entire exchange. I will never recommend this company. We used sunset limos for a recent bachelorette winery tour. Making the reservation was very easy and they allowed me to change it a few times when our number of people changed twice. The driver was prompt the day of and very friendly. We visited three wineries and he was awesome about giving us a timeline for when to move to the next one so we were home on time. The limo was spacious and had a banner and cute bachelorette themed cups, etc. In all, a great and satisfying day using sunset limos. I highly recommend the company. Wow! What a great limo company! If you ever need to rent one, I highly suggest that you go with these folks. They are just the nicest people. Customer service is big with them, clearly. The limo had been rented to go wine tasting for my bachelorette party and everything went just perfectly. (The marriage itself didn't end up working out, but I can't hold Sunset Limos responsible for that train wreck.) I felt like a spoiled celebrity in my white stretch limo with a chilled bottle of almond champagne and little party napkins that read, "What happens at the bachelorette party stays at the bachelorette party." Our driver, Tom (who is also, coincidentally, the company's owner) went out of his way to make sure we were content. I recently booked a wine tour through Sunset Limousine for a birthday celebration. The whole experience was great! Sandy was a pleasure to work with - very accommodating and informative! Kyle was our driver for the day. He was early, very friendly, courteous and patient (we had a few stragglers in our group and he patiently waited - we also had a large group so he made sure we kept things moving). He had some great recommendations on wineries to taste at, as well! The Excursion limo was decorated in birthday theme for the birthdays we were celebrating (what a nice touch!). Limo was clean.
