They offered continental breakfast that included fruit, eggs, pastries, and some other offerings. I would not expect to fill up on their breakfast, but they offered enough where you certainly could. The owner was friendly, but seemed a bit suspicious of guests. Overall, if you want a relatively inexpensive place in a great location and do not expect to be in your room very much, then the Windsor Motel might be a good fit for you.

I've attached photos of our view. Although quite nIce, there were trees that hid the beauty of the lake. I blame Mother Nature. Rooms were clean and fully renovated. Great selection of channels and room space was adequate. There was also a mini fridge included in the cost. You do have access to a balcony, however it is shared with the other rooms but that didn't bother us. Overall the hotel is clean, well furnished and in close proximity to downtown Lake George.

Then next morning we bumped into house keeping and she asked if we needed anything and I specifically said more coffee and paper cups please. Well our room was made up but next morning noted no cups or coffee... my husband has an emergency kit with coffee packs so we managed with our own stuff, luckily saving one cup from day before. So then I left note for housekeeping with same request for next am but she never came to room at all. It was nice to be on the 2nd floor & the room was quiet. Most critical was comfortable beds & distance to Star Trek original series set tour & we were happy with both of these. This hotel was listed as A premiere Star Trek Tour Partner on the Star Trek tour website which is why we picked it. Again, we were happy with our choice. I always bring my own shampoo & conditioner because I prefer them, but I didn't see any shampoo in the room, so you might want to bring your own. It looks like the property has been updated since our last visit last year the front desk staff is very nice and we also had a missing remote and they were helpful and finding a new one for us, the view is beautiful. You can see the lake from the Lakeview rooms. There is also a table with two chairs in the room that can be used as a breakfast table and there's chairs on the balcony. The only complaint I have is that the grill area really is not up to par. It's in a parking lot and I just wouldn't recommend grilling out there With all the beautiful parks around. the pool is very nice and not full and there is a nice fire pit with the Adirondack chairs. The housekeeping did a great job preparing the room for our arrival, and cleaned it to perfection on days we wanted the room made up. Our room was equipped with two queen size beds, so there was no cover hogging on this trip. The bathroom is on the smaller side, but comes complete with everything you would need for a getaway. The heated lamps in the bathroom are a nice touch, especially on cooler nights. Our shower had a continuous leak that we couldn't adjust, so we had to let the water drip; we couldn't hear anything over the AC, so that was fine with us. The continental breakfast is on the sweeter, more sugary side, and we honestly decided to explore other options for breakfast to better start our day. If we were going to be bad eating this vacation, we wanted to make the calories count - like, ice cream every night for example. The staff and overall spotlessness of the Heritage is what really made us come again for the third time in a row; we will see you again soon!

Room service is upon request (which is the norm these days anywhere you go). There are kayaks for guests to use at the lake for free. On our last day we asked if we can have a late checkout but we were told that we couldn't. There was another family waiting for our room but we were invited to stay on the property for the day if we wanted. The property itself is on a steep hill. Getting up and down from your room to the lake is very steep and great workout and the views of the lake were amazing. This is perfect a place for a family vacation. There were families here with small children and Tea Island does offer free activities. They have a shuffle board, free kayaking, canoeing, paddle boards, plus more. Everything that they offered was really in great shape or new. It was so laid back and actually relaxing to be here. They also have a swimming pool because it was across the street we actually didn't see the pool. We were out doing other activities during the day so by the time we got back we just hung around the lake. They also provide bbq grills that are available for you to use and they were being used every night by families staying on the property. Its much easier than going out to eat every night. Disrespectful and Discriminatory Experience…read more We paid over $200 per night expecting a decent winter break stay. Instead, we experienced chaos, hostility, and treatment that felt discriminatory. There was no staff at check-in -- after 10+ calls, we were told the key was left outside. The "continental breakfast" was stale cereal and hard-boiled eggs. The room had bugs, and the flooring was poorly installed and taped together with electrical tape. On the second day of our stay, the owner entered one of our rooms unannounced using her own key and attempted to change the lock to lock out one of our family members, claiming the room wasn't paid for. We had booked and paid in full for four rooms over six months earlier. Only after showing her the receipt did she realize it was her mistake. No apology was offered. I am a disabled veteran with medical dietary restrictions and travel with a rice cooker. When a fire alarm went off due to the microwave provided in the room, the owners barged in and demanded money. Later, they returned accusing us of clogging a public bathroom toilet with rice -- an accusation that felt based solely on the fact that we are Asian. The photo they showed was actually pasta. Again, no apology. As a veteran who served this country, I never expected to be stereotyped, falsely accused, and repeatedly entered without notice during a family vacation. We left feeling humiliated, targeted, and completely disrespected.
