We only got drinks. Based on the food reviews, we will stick to the drinks only. The rum runner came with a shot so u added it yourself- which I appreciated so I knew how much booze was going in! It was the same price as a drink at sloppy joes but stronger! Drinks are pricey in key west- deal with it! You cannot beat the view and the band was excellent. We had trouble getting a waitress(and they weren't very busy) but no big deal, we just went up to the bar and ordered. We sat there for a couple hrs. No one bugged us to leave or move on. I will go have a drink or two there again tonight. read more

This is an awesome hangout place. We love to come sit here and watch the boats, jet skis, parasailing people, and the sunset. I've only ever had the fries since we normally just grab a cool drink and continue on with our day, but they were good. The fries came in a bucket, so it was definitely enough to share with the table. I would recommend this place to anyone just for the view alone. read more

There's no signage as to whether you can seat yourself or wait for someone to seat you and nobody was around to direct you. So we watched another party seat themselves and followed suit. Our server arrived promptly and took our drink orders. She was back shortly with our drinks and took our appetizer & meal orders We ordered the conch fritters. They were dropped on our table by someone from the kitchen who quickly disappeared. No appetizer plates, no utensils, no napkins and no servers to be found. After that situation was rectified, we dug into the conch fritters. At least we tried to. The crisp outer coating was as hard as a rock. And they were difficult to cut with the plastic utensils. Finally succeeding, we found the inside to be full of filler. If you want a great conch fritter, go the to the Roof Top Cafe. For my entree, I ordered the Garden Wrap, part of which read "red pepper hummus." The reality was chunks of red pepper - no hummus. This was a disappointment. My husband had the Sunset Pier Burger. It was cooked as he requested and he said it was good. My mother in-law had the chicken tender kids' meal. It specifies "Children 12 years old and under please." But who's going to argue with an 82-year-old woman? Half-way through our meal we got a new server. Our new server said our former server's shift was over and she was taking over. If all you want is to watch the sunset while having a few drinks, then it is ok, but be prepared to pay a LOT for drinks. IF you order food, be ready for just ok. There are no reservations, so you need to go a little early to get good seats. It is a nice atmosphere with live music, and close to Mallory square where you can go afterwards to shop or hear more live music and watch really great street performers. I would maybe go again for a drink before hitting Mallory Square, but I will pass on the sub par food. Honestly, the staff doesn't care about these reviews because the place packs em in every night because of the tourist factor and sunset, but if you have a view from where you are staying for your trip.... watch from the comfort there or just hit Mallory and Duval.. read more

Terrible service. We wanted to visit here due to all the hype we've been hearing on our short vacation in Key West. None of the staff would stop to guide us (if it was choose your own table or they will come for you) so we just chose a seat facing the ocean and waited. I tried to flag down many waitresses but they just did not care and said "just a second" quite rudely only to pass us several more times. They wouldn't even give us a menu but they had plenty of time chatting it up with tables all around us. After 10 minutes and looking around like idiots, I grabbed a menu from an empty table and we decided to give them another chance. Nope. More waitresses shrugged us off and would not even let me speak to get their attention. Is it a race thing, I really had to wonder. After 35 minutes of waiting, unserved, we decided to leave. We only stayed that long because the view was nice but the treatment from staff was not worth it. Found a much friendlier and cheaper place down the street with amazing food. read more

Went here with my husband, two friends, and their kids on our last day of vacation in the Keys. We chose this spot because it was in a beautiful location with outdoor seating overlooking the water. We had no idea they had live bands playing and got there as the band was setting up so that was a nice surprise. I would highly suggest going to the bathroom before being seated. You actually have to leave the restaurant, walk to the parking garage across from it, and make a few turns before finally getting to the bathroom. You can choose your own table and thankfully got a beautiful table next to the water and away from the sun. Since you can choose your own table, make sure the staff sees that you're new and need service, or else you'll be waiting a while. Our waitress was extremely nice and accommodating, but wasn't very confident on the menu. My husband had questions about the fish of the day which the waitress insisted was a filet. The fish was definitely a whole fish when it came out and unlike a filet (as promised by the waitress), this fish had lots of little bones that needed to get picked out. The dish was ok, but could've been better. It was definitely not what we were expecting for a 'filet' and not worth the price. My girlfriend ordered the empanadas as an appetizer. For the price, you would think you would get bigger portions, but nope, they were small and few. The empanadas were pretty good, though. Crispy shell on the outside, a little dry on the inside, but nothing their guava bbq sauce couldn't fix. She also ordered the tacos for an entree. Again, for the price of the food, it wasn't worth it. For as much as we paid, you would think the meal would come out complete. Nope, the meal was more like an open face taco (if that even exists). She had to pretty much make her own tacos instead of having it already made for the price it was worth. All in all, I would come back maybe (just maybe) for the drinks. If you're looking for a restaurant with a view and don't care much for the food, your best bet is here. But if you're looking for quality food, look elsewhere. read more

Visited this place for dinner two nights in a row. That's how good it was. We went pretty late the first night but there was still live music. For the pier being so big and having so many tables, the service was great. Pick a table and the server will be at your table shortly. We started with an order of clams. Not pricey for clams and they tasted great. We all got burgers and the shrimp quesadilla for our entrees and they were all great. Burger was cooked medium rare (like requested) and the portion sizes were just right. The fries were great (definitely double fried) and I was able to finish my entire plate. The quesadilla was also great. Filled with A LOT of shrimp and other ingredients and didn't seem like a rip off. The second night we came back for drinks and the band and split some wings. The jerk wings had amazing flavor, just not spicy like I was expecting. Definitely come here to grab a drink, some oysters, and listen to some music while the sun sets. read more

They literally refused to wait on you!. The sun had just set so we were not there at the highlight or peak time. In fact people were leaving. We sat down at a table and never received a "table tap", hello or any acknowledgement for about 10 minutes. So my daughter finally went up to the bar to order. After 15 minutes I became concern that something had happened to her. Mind you, I never, ever received any acknowledgement while I was waiting the 15 minutes for my daughter to return. I finally left to look for her and she was still in line. She said literally the bartender refused to acknowledge her and seemed to purposely pick and choose who she helped next. It was rather bizarre to be ignored in two locations. We left to grab a drink somewhere else. There are plenty of other places to grab a drink, listen to music and enjoy the view. read more

We went, as most do, to watch the sunset. I was surprised that every table actually has a great view of the sunset - and it's a HUGE place! We had a couple of drinks and some food, which was pretty good, considering that the real draw to this place is the view. Very pleasant service, too. Ordered a turkey club sandwich which I could have gotten at the local gas station and saved myself $14. One piece of bacon and one very thin slice of turkey on a dried out ciabatta bun. Love this place. I was in KW for 13 days, I think we made it to this place 6 times. Really great drinks. I also love how they have a gluten free sign next to items on their menu. Being gluten free this is extremely helpful. I got to have their delicious buffalo wings, which I can't get a lot of places as they are usually breaded. Loved the tuna tartare, and also the garlic fries are too die for. My drink recommend is the sunset margarita or pina colada. Get there a little bit before sunset. Perfect place to take great pics and they usually have great bands. I highly highly recommend! read more

Are you fucking kidding me with 4 stars. My wife and i came here to watch the sunset like all the other brain washed tourists. We were told to get there early to get a seat. We arrived at 4 and obeyed the seat yourself sign. 15 minutes went by before we were greeted in an empty restaurant. Then after waiting another 10 we were informed that they were out of the beer I wanted. Then another 10 to actually get our drinks we ordered two a piece and a side of cheese fries to start then the rude bitch of a waitress came up saying that it was shift change and we had to pay for what we had ordered so she could cash out and on the receipt was the cheese fries we had not even received yet. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else for the sunset. They deserve 2 stars top not 4 read more

Great spot to watch sunset. The food, grouper and chicken fingers, were very good and tasty. It does take about 15 minutes to get your food, but have a rum runner and enjoy the scenery. The rum runners are the best on Key West. The music at the pier is also the best. This is my favorite spot. read more

This would be a great place to watch the sunset. The service was pretty good also. The oysters we had were not of great quality though. They came with plastic cracker packages strewn over them and contacting the meat. They also only have plastic forks. Out of a dozen, we had at least two that didn't taste or look so fresh, but they still cost $24. Be careful if you sit by the rail on a windy night; you will struggle to hold on to your napkins, lids, etc. read more

This is not particularly the best place for a romantic place to grab a bite and drink. There is music that no one really dances to and hardly a good place to sit because it gets really packed. The amount you'll spend on watered-down liquor, take that money and go somewhere to get on a boat and enjoy a better view of the sunset. I had two mojitos and did not feel a thing!
