Our bachelorette group of 9 got there 30 minutes early by accident and were seated immediately. Absolutely loved our entire experience at A&B! The warm bread and butter was a phenomenal start and there was so much of it!! I got the crab cake appetizer and the tuna tataki. Both delicious, but the crab cake stole the show for me. They even brought our bride a complimentary key lime pie with a sparkler (which hilariously set off the smoke alarm for a quick second). We picked A&B Lobster House for our anniversary dinner. The restaurant was immaculate and we were immediately seated (we had a reservation- highly recommend). Our table was outside near the marina and was beautiful. Our server, Casey, was so helpful and answered all of menu questions. My wife started with the lobster bisque and it was great. She had the Alaskan king crab legs for her entree. Absolutely delicious and huge! I started with the oysters Rockefeller and these were probably the best I have ever had. My wife and I visited FL for the week. Our meal at A&B was the best. I was dying for some Grouper and my wife found them while we exited our Sunset Cruise. We double checke on Yelp and they had a 3.8 rating and I was a bit concerned since I usually insist on 4+ yelp ratings. We decided to go and were not disappointed. Service was impecable. This place is in a great location and it's very beautiful inside. We were here for a rehearsal dinner, there was about 30 of us. I thought the service was excellent and they handled the number of people well. The shrimp cocktail was amazing probably one of the best I've ever had! Both the salads were good, I thought it was a good portion sized considering we had a prefixed 4 courses! The filet was good but the asparagus was just ok same with the mashed potatoes. I didn't come very hungry, and I wanted a salad and some seafood, so decided to get the scallop and the beet salad. The scallop was tasty, but it was literally one scallop with little caviar. And more than anything, the salad was disappointing by having almost no leaves, plus the amount of cheese was overkill and I couldn't finish it. I would have ordered more food, but waited so long just for the salad, I wasn't going to make people wait while I waited for something else. Food was fine, just a bit small for what you get. I came here for my 30th and 40th birthday dinner. I reserved a table outside about 30 days in advance to ensure I could sit where I wanted. I brought a group of friends with me this time and they all enjoyed the place too. I got the stone crab appetizer and the Caribbean lobster tail. It was fantastic. We were two tables totalling 20+ people. We had 2 servers. Ousr was Michal. He was fabulous. This was the first restaurant that allowed us to split checks which was great especially when some people (us) ordered MP items. King Crab Legs were $127 for a pound. They were tender sweet and worth every penny. I started with an orange Cosmo which was made perfectly. (Light lime light cranberry) i had a Lobster Bisque soup which was yummy. The wedge salad portions were small but friends enjoyed it. For my main i ordered a single crab cake which to me was a bit dry but my hubby got the King Crab legs and he shared. Almost every Tik Tok, itinerary, or post regarding recommendations stated that A7B Lobster House is the place to go in Key West for a nice dinner.... And they were not wrong. First its location has prime views, I mean walking in the area is very common, but right on the marina and during sunset is a gorgeous place to be. I mean who can complain when you are watching the sun set over the water with the boats on the horizon! If you want to walk around and go exploring in the evening it is super close to Duval street, as well as other restaurants and bars on the Marina. From outside you can see and tell the restaurant is upper scale and not your typical beach restaurant. It is upstairs, not to be confused with a different restaurant down stairs! One of the best parts of the restaurants is the consistent service. Originally we created a reservation for 2 and added a 3 person last minute and it caused no strife and they were super accommodating, especially on a busy night. We were right on time for our reservation and immediately seated, maybe even a couple minutes early! The menu isn't extensive, but all the options are so intriguing you have to take a long hard minute contemplating which to pick. It can be hard when each item is on the higher price scale, but on a positive note, they do have some good options for large appetizers that were great prices. We all got something different to give us the option to try and taste multiple things! We all decided to get a drink, each one is on the higher price scale for a drink and they are not huge, but definitely flavorful. I got a dirty martini and it was one of the best that I have had in a while. Another drink was their bee's knees and it was the perfect combination of sweetness for a drink! For dinner I got appetizers because I wanted to try multiple things and keep the price point down (I also wasn't super hungry). I got the lobster bisque and I could rave about it for days. It had a thicker consistency so it made it very filling, it had chunks of lobster in it too, and it wasn't a small bowl of soup which also made it even more filling. I also got escargot with lobster biscuits (biscuits in the shapes of lobster) in a creamy sauce! Both were super tasty and were the perfect size, especially with drinks and bread! Wonderful way to spend our last night on the magical island. Deserving of its namesake, our party of 4 ordered 3 different lobster dishes, and they were all amazing. Sweet succulent and sizable pieces, the sweet meat of the sea shined in truffle, risotto, or as a juicy tail, the star of the dinner plate. The crème brûlée was one of the best I've had. Ahi Tuna Bowl which is honestly one of the freshest Tuna I have ever had. And last we got Shrimp Island Bowl which had superbly fresh shrimp. The customer service is what made this 5 stars. Personally despite it being a great dinner I found that key west has so many great seafood options I don't know that A&B is a must try. The vibe is definitely more formal with white table clothes and darker interiors. Service was as expected from a venue of this sort. Food was good- but again I found the local pubs in key west has amazing daily catches so I just don't know if a&b is better. To be fair the server noted they won best steak award- I don't eat meat so I can't comment on that although my partner for the steak and although good not the best he's had.
