First time here and I've lived in the neighborhood for 20 years...great discovery on my part. Ive seen movies next door at the Cinedome the last 15 years and never went...shame on me. lol Pizza was amazing, thin crust. Real sausage here, nothing like the garbage they use @ Dominoes, Pizza Hut. 5 stars all around from quality, cleanliness and service. Dino and Tony hooked us up. Aloha! My wife and I ordered a pizza TO GO from Sunset Pizzeria after seeing a movie last night at the Henderson Cinedome Theater. We were so impressed with the pizza that we wanted to write a review! Sunset Pizzeria has been serving the Henderson community for over 14 years, and it's clear why they've been so successful. The pizza is made with fresh ingredients and cooked to perfection. The slices are thin, and the toppings are generous. We ordered the Sunset pizza, which is topped with pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, onions, and green peppers. It was so delicious that we couldn't stop eating it! We also appreciated the friendly and attentive service at Sunset Pizzeria. The cashier was very helpful in recommending the right pizza for us, and the pizza was still hot when we arrived home last night. The atmosphere at Sunset Pizzeria is casual, relaxed, and family-friendly. This Pizzeria offers a variety of pizzas, pasta, and other Italian dishes. Overall, we had an excellent experience at Sunset Pizzeria. The pizza was delicious, the service was great, and the prices were reasonable. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great pizza in Henderson. We have lived in Henderson for a very long time and the pizza use to be on point coming from brooklyn NY. Was impressed with it. But our recent visit, the pricing was way high and the pizza dough was like cardboard and the fried mushrooms were dry and burnt. Not happy very sad about this place. read more

NOPE. I'll never come back here now that I've dined in. I had such great experiences with Sunset pizzeria- but of course that's only been for pickup orders! I am so sad to be writing this review now. They have so much potential to be able to make this a great hang out spot with the location their in. I guess I missed out on all the warnings from other reviews! We walked into Sunset Pizzeria on a Saturday night, and noticed there were 2 families sitting and eating. We looked around, and figured we sit ourselves since no one at the register acknowledged us. We found a booth, and went to find a menu, which is by the register to figure out what to eat. A White young lady greeted us and asked if we were ready, we said no, she said okay and walked away. Then a young man, who's bald, white, and has a beard saw we were ready and took our order. He was probably the only person there who was trying to do a couple of things while watching the restaurant. He was friendly, told us they had a bar around the corner, and smiled when we said thanks for our receipt. The soda fountain was dirty, sticky, and out of most Coke products.. Then I notice a Hispanic young lady, not sure if she was on the clock or not, with the cook in the back: talking to and eating french fries... right where he's supposed to be making OUR fries, wings, and fingers... Cue the anxiety for me. My husband said give them a chance, so I shut up and sat and waited for our food. The young lady who originally was snacking on fries, walked into the restaurant area and began to eat a sandwich. Then the guy who took our order brought our pizza out, then the original one at the register brought our fried food out. The food wasn't good, it was bland, the fingers weren't tossed in the sauce properly. The pizza doesn't taste good anymore. The only thing I enjoyed were the fries. I was praying no one else ate out of them before we got them, but they were too salty. I also noticed throughout the meal the girl at the register and the other servers were sitting with the Hispanic eating. When pickup orders came, they did not wash their hands at all. They had been touching drinks, each other, and their hair. The fry cook was drinking his drinks on the line, visibly in the window where we could see him, and only the busser was working to keep the place clean. At one point, I even saw the register girl wash her hands, TO FIX HER BUN, AND NOT WASH HER HANDS AGAIN. Then, a really tall white guy came in, folded boxes, closed out some tabs, and ignored a customer who walked to the register to pick up an order. Never once did he wash his hands, put gloves on, or acknowledge anyone, or practice proper hygiene protocol either. Aside from the expensive bill for the terrible food and flat soda, a customer dropped and broke a pepper shaker in the walkway where the register is, and no one rushed to clean that. There was shattered glass on the floor for minutes just sitting there, no warning sign, no broom or dustpan, no one rushing to make sure that walkway was clear in case a customer walked into it. NOTHING. The most dangerous part for me is that the staff follows no hygiene safety protocol at all, and I am never coming back! I cannot imagine how they work when they're busy! read more

My family and I have been coming here for years! In my opinion this is the best pizza in Vegas. The staff is always super nice to us and we have never had a negative experience. Went inside to pick up an order for delivery for a ride share on Saturday evening, which happens to be a busy night. I usually go to the counter on the side without waiting in line, and the staff will give me the items. On this night, a staff member who was very rude (tattooed neck) I showed her who I was picking up for, and she replied, " Get in line," and then walked away. Another staff member asked me if she could help, I told that I was picking up a delivery, and she walked over and got the items all within 2 minutes and handed them to me. The tattooed neck staff member could have done the same thing. read more

First time trying this local pizza spot, driven by it so many times and decided to try it today, so disappointed that it was sooo soggy. We got the Hawaiian, I believe they just put too much cheese that it over powered the two toppings, we couldn't taste anything but cheese. We are a group of seniors that meet up once a month or more and enjoy ourselves in a pleasant environment. Sunset Pizzeria has delicious food but over that our server Geanene is always friendly and accommodating to us all. She remembers from visit to visit what we like and makes sure we leave happy. It's welcoming when you walk in. You get to seat yourself, and walk up to make your order. They do walk it out to you, and there are free refills of pop and water. The serving sizes are big. The flavor is great. We split a pizza, onion rings, Stromboli, lasagna, and cheese ravioli. We brought most of it home. There were four of us. The pastas come with side salad and bread. The garlic bread was great, the salad, had no flavor. The only pieces that had flavor were the onions and tomatoes. It looked great, but it was far below the look. read more

Uhhh still amazing this is my favorite spot.. Plus theres a separate bar location just next door a great place to hangout cause its next to the movies. If you get worried about your kids hanging out by themselves for the first time you could hangout there to be close. read more

My wife and I called ahead to ensure they were family-friendly, and we were assured this place is. When we arrived, there was no host or hostess to seat us, so we seated ourselves and our two small children in a corner of the dining area. The staff behind the counter took turns staring out at us, but no one ever approached us. We sat for about 15 minutes while the staff continued to ignore us. We finally acquiesced and walked out of the place with our small children in our arms. What a thoroughly insulting experience. We went across the street to Johnny Mac's instead. I have ordered philly cheesesteaks from here many times. I called inmy order told them everything on them but i wanted Mozzerella cheese on them. The man on the phone repeated my order three times including the mozzerella cheese. Pretty darn good pizza and a great deal! This is close to my work and my coworkers got it before and it smelled so good so I had to give it a shot! Mmm! We got 1lb of wings and 1 medium special pizza for $55. So it was a little pricey, but the chicken wings were phenomenal. We got the medium sauce and I was afraid it would be too spicy, but nope it was perfect. The flags and the drumsticks were full of meat and a great non chewy texture. We normally love coming but this time it was a disaster. I wouldn't recommend the fettuccine Alfredo pasta. The taste was bland and it's barley enough for 1 person. They put in sever packs of ketchup inside the box with onion rings to make it look fuller. The chicken strips were tasty but the fries were soggy.
