That is a huge commitment so I spent some time (years, in fact) talking to different contractors and finally settled on Sunset because they had great advice about the design I wanted, and their price ended up significantly under the other contractor bids. They were happy to include lots of miscellaneous items that saved me having to deal with them separately. They were easy to work with and responsive to my questions and needs during the project. We used Cory and his team to do a complete backyard remodel. We tore out all the concrete decking, installed new pool equipment, remodeled the pool itself, did some landscaping, installed pavers, built a BBQ island with a new gas and electric line, put in a saltwater system, etc. Everything was done well and has been working great. The BBQ was a great addition and Cory and his team designed it for us. He was also able to put us in touch with everyone else we needed (e.g., for pool servicing) and helped me get a good price on the built in BBQ. Simply the best! Both Bill and Corey were a pleasure to work with and absolutely exceeded our expectations. The whole crew is so professional, experienced and completed the project on time. Our complete backyard renovation started after my first meeting with Bill. I gave him all my wacky ideas about fun things to include and then he came back to us with a digital render of the new backyard with pool, spa, barbeque, fire pit, rock waterfall and waterslide. Each piece was itemized in the quote, so it was super easy to add/remove/adjust elements. Bill was really easy to talk to and right away I felt I could trust his opinions and that he was looking out for our best interests. I was so confident in his honesty/previous work that I decided to skip getting a second quote and just went with Sunset Pools. I can honestly say too, that they delivered on everything. He said the renovation would take 3-4 months and it was finished in 3 1/2 months even after we were rained out 20+ days. I couldn't believe how quickly everything happened and every morning at 7am there would be 4-6 guys working on my pool. Everyone just seemed on the same page and kept checking in with us. Aaron the masonry guy was super cool too and came up with some great options for our barbeque. He also did all the lighting and landscaping. Corey was also great on checking in and giving ideas on modifications and timing of each step. They all work well as a team and I never felt like we weren't on the same page. The results speak for themselves and my family loves our new backyard. It's changed our lives in so many great ways. Ultimately, when you put in a pool you really are putting your faith in the company that's doing the work. We took a long time to find the right pool contractor for us, I must have interviewed at least five contractors in the Orange area and Sunset Pools and Spas was by far the best of the bunch. Corey was always on time, gave us an honest idea of what we could do in our backyard, and a fair price with no hidden fees. He never made me feel like "just another project" or "just another client" which is far too easy to do in the current home renovation craze. Sunset's contract laid out every phase and charge nicely so people who are not pool experts (us) could easily understand what to expect and what we were paying for when. Wow, I cannot say enough good things about Sunset Pools and Spas. I would 110% recommend them. We had met with many pool builders before choosing this one and feel very lucky that we went with Sunset Pools and Spas. Both Corey and Steven were extremely knowledgeable about the entire pool building process and understood exactly what I wanted from the beginning. Their quote was very fair and the best we could find. From the beginning, Corey and Steven advised us on what we needed and the different ways we could stay on budget and get the most for our money. On top of that, we gave them a very short time frame for the project and they delivered on time just as promised. Everyone that was a part of the pool build was an expert in their area. Our project included remodeling our existing pool and adding heat and a spa. We were able to afford a salt system, a WIFI run pool, all new equipment moved to the side of the house, replacing old plaster with mini pebble, auto-fill and a water feature. Steven was super responsive throughout the process with any questions I had. Texts were always returned promptly and many times followed by a phone call. Steven was also onsite quite a lot making sure things were going as planned. We really felt we were in good hands the whole way through. Even in this current, challenging economy there was never an issue of having to wait for materials or equipment, Sunset Pools had everything on hand. We discovered what a complex and arduous task it is to remodel a pool. It involves plumbers, electricians, laborers, tilers and the list goes on. There was never a day where someone wasn't onsite working on our project. Having someone like Steven that is running all of these different jobs in concert was a big reason our job was done on time. The quality of work done was outstanding. One of our favorite parts of the remodel was the tile work. The person that laid our tile was a craftsman. The tile work came out beautifully in the end with the many complex cuts looking effortless. The coping and mini pebble finish was also done expertly and came out even better than we thought it could. Whereas before we thought our pool was fairly unattractive and dated, it now is a beautiful and modern feature of our backyard. Just had our second project completed by Sunset Pools and Spas and are so happy with the results! Three years ago, we began an extensive search to find a reputable pool builder for our new home. We required a company that did quality work, stood by their product, and would partner with us as we renovated our yard into a true outdoor oasis. We used Sunset Pools & Spas to remodel our in-ground spa. We upgraded all of the equipment to be more energy efficient, replaced the waterline tile, light and had mini-pebble surface installed. In addition, we switched over to a salt system and had some repairs done to the existing brick coping to fill cracks and cement loose bricks.
