I used to go to the one behind Sears/Costco but they are closed down. Looked on Yelp and saw this place so headed on over. They are located right behind 3 Men's Suits $129 and International Buffet. Plenty of parking and the workers were nice and fast. I was literally out of there in 5 minutes. I do not know if the prices were good, but I assume they are competitive. read more

This is my second time coming to this recycling center. It had rained earlier on the day I went, so I gave them a call to make sure they were open. They were open! So we gathered all our recycling into the car as fast as possible and sped right over. We got there about 10 minutes before they closed and quickly put all the recycling in the bins. I love how easy they make recycling. No strict rules about what goes where. Just cans in one bin, bottles in the other. Easy Peasy! The guy was really nice to have let us go so close to closing. I hate being the person who goes to places right before they close, but we just really had to get it done. We were in and out super quick and we got to get on with our errands for the day. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to do their recycling hassle-free. read more

I usually go to Evolution Recycling or Express Recycling & Collections. Evolution Recycling is closed on Sunday and when I went to Express Recycling & Collections they were not taking glass because their bin was full. I had about 80lbs of glass bottles so I was a bit bummed. After some Yelping, I found Sunset Recycling Center. They are located behind 3 Men's Suits. They gladly took all my glass (even wine bottles and glass from food). Only $0.10 per pound on glass but it was quick and easy! read more

I came today to do my recycling in the area which brought up Sunset Recycling. I read the reviews and then decided to give it a try. The guy sitting down is Daniel an attractive beefy latino and was very polite and assisted a lady with her recycling and felt he was professional in all aspects while assisting me. He is bilingual so he understands everything. I got more for my regular recycling at this location than others. Definitely give this place your business and support your local community! Dropped by this location, just behind the 3 men's suits to do my normal recycling routine around lunch time and was thankful to see that they were actually open still! The process was smooth and easy - separating plastics, cans, and glass by color - and Art, the guy in charge was really, really friendly unlike the other sketch recycling centers around the 323 area. Overall, will be coming back to this location as soon as my stockpile amasses again! Rule of thumb, ask for Art! He's the man! read more

I went to this place today based on the one and only review available. I should have known better. As I got there, the attendant was not busy, he was sitting down and only got up when I started asking questions. No greeting, or nothing. Fine, I asked how he wanted me to separate the glass, he tells me by colors and tells me which containers to use. Then, he goes back to take a sit. There was another gentleman there arranging his recycles. He was more helpful than the attendant. When I was done separating my glass and plastic, I asked the attendant if he could help me. He got up from his chair very upset and starts arguing with me. He tells me it is NOT HIS OBLIGATION to help. He goes on to state that it was HOT and he was TIRED! The reason why I was asking him to help me was because I had a bag filled with aluminum in the trunk of my car. My friend had helped me put it there because I recently went through surgery and I am not allowed to lift more than 5 lbs. The bag of aluminum was much heavier than that. When I saw how upset the attendant was about having to help, I told him I did not need his help, and said thank you. I waited for him to weigh the plastic and glass I had already separated, took my money and left with a trunk filled of aluminum. I can give my business to whoever I want. To top it all off, they have their containers already tagged with their individual weight. Meaning, they will discount that weight from your sell. They do not do it like other places do: They weigh everything together, then they empty your sell, and after that, they weigh the empty container to deduct that weight from the total weight. That is fair, when they weigh the container in front of you. The way this place does, makes it look fishy. I wonder if they will pass an inspection from the Department of Weights and Measures. Needless to say, I will not go back. I did ask for Art as the previous review stated, the man who was helping me said he was Art. Maybe it was a different Art that helped me. He did not act at all like the previous review stated. read more

this was my first time there, there were 2 people manny the store, 1 never put his cellular phone down-was on a call which i found rather rude, the other gentleman was nice and friendly--he gave us instructions and was kind to us. as mentioned the one on the cellular phone was i suppose in charge of paying us, i don't recall him saying thank you. most likely i would go back because it's convenient and clean and i like the business hours that are displayed. read more
