The linen for the hyda bed was thrown into the cabinet and not folded. Your dishes were not clean as well. One of your plates had shards of glass on it. Again...not GOOD! PLEASE PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND GET NEW HOUSEKEEPING!!! We witnessed her come in for other rooms and not do a dang thing but tinker around and vape. During the eviction incident, staff members filmed me on their personal devices while aggressively claiming my dog did not 'look like a service dog.' For context, I live with a severe, invisible cardiac condition (SVT) that causes dangerous heart rate spikes. My dog was trained to track my physical distress to ensure my safety. Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), service animals do not require a specific breed or a mandatory vest. Management went so far as to hunt down my personal social media. They found a lighthearted, sarcastic inside joke I had posted for friends pretending to sneak my late mother's puppies into another while she was battling colon cancer, and tried to weaponize it as evidence of a 'history' to retroactively justify their real-time discrimination against a disabled guest. Being recorded in a moment of medical vulnerability, forced out during a wedding weekend, and ultimately cyberstalked by hotel management was way too far. It was absolutely devastating. I am sharing this so that other individuals traveling with service animals or invisible illnesses are aware of how this establishment treats its guests.

The not so good that aren't deal breakers was that general odor of the room and furnishings that comes with rustic lodges that are over 50 years old(?). And more concerning are the paper thin walls where you can clearly hear most noises emanating from adjacent rooms. Of course, this would only be a problem during busy season or if you have noisy neighbors. Be prepared and maybe bring ear plugs.

The recliner also had a seat cover just like we have at home to protect it from dog hair. Not all rooms are pet friendly so keep that in mind. I would have loved to have had a river view but bringing my dogs was more important. I am a birder and enjoyed sitting on the guest patio anytime I could to watch the birds at the feeder, in the flower bed, in the trees, or even in the river. I recorded 13 species of birds in under 30 minutes while just sitting in one spot. The rooms are big and clean. We had a 2 queen pet friendly room because our 14yo son was with us as well. The breakfast is very nice. They have a waffle maker, oatmeal, fruit, pastries, biscuits and gravy, yogurt, etc...
