Enjoying a sunset cruise with the Sunset Yacht club! Thank you Derrick!
    Daleah W.

Had a really beautiful vacation! Where to start; Beautiful location ; the beach and facilities are very clean. The food was Fresh, flavorful and aesthetically pleasing (if your a foodie like me this is a plus!) and It was like this in all three restaurants and at the yacht club. The staff from the front desk to the house cleaners were thoughtful, available, very friendly and helpful for our various requests. We felt safe and taken care of as two female travelers. We had a very well rounded vacation; experiencing the typical tourist luxury activities of the spas, drinks, nightlife, dancing, food, crystal clear beaches and white sands as well as the more local inland and cultural experiences visiting less popular ruins, jumping and swimming in the cenotes, eating authentic tacos, and just getting to know the people in some of the smaller villages outside of Cancun. We are big on experiencing the traditional culture of the country we are guests in. Strongly recommend visiting and engaging with the people and asking about their culture. Seeing and buying some of the beautifully handcrafted artwork and weaving. ALSO; Keep in mind we also did the "presentation" - the part everyone complains about being a scam on the internet. 1. don't go into debt or do anything to get into debt... you can do that in any country and being wise in that aspect will save you a lot of complaints that you cna avoid blaming someone else for- for us we had Derrick, there was no pressure and he was a very authentic, honest and genuine person- who is just doing his job. Like most people presenting. Overall had a really unique, memorable and special experience and we were met with a very warm, welcoming and loving response. The news definitely makes it seem so dangerous down here but, it wasn't (Honey attracts more bees then vinegar )!

Beach in front of resort. Beautiful!

Unfortunately, this resort leaves much to be desired. Upon arriving, the hotel looks modern and clean, but upon entry, the picture changes. On several occasions, we were awaken by the sound of the staff in the nearby kitchen preparing meals, and incessant outdated music from the pool deck--same playlist of 80s songs and Michael Jackson. The food quality was very subpar. When one comes to an all-inclusive resort, part of the allure is to be able to eat a plethora of quality food. This was not the case at Sunset Royal. Both buffets featured variations of potatoes, rice, and pasta. One would think that Mexican food would be at least decent at a resort IN Mexico, but alas. We ordered nachos from the poolside bar, but they included scant numbers of beans and a strange sauce and no cheese. Additionally, the chillaquelles varied daily and often crumbs were served. During one particular breakfast, my wife's omelet contained remnants of the egg shell. She also ordered the chicken during a meal and complained that it tasted as though it was expired. The drinks were also of inferior quality. The only natural juice was the jugo verde (to be fair, this was pretty good). Moreover, I ordered a mango margarita on separate occasions only to find ice chunks in my beverage. Perhaps the biggest disappointment was that we felt as though we needed to appease the service and that it was not about making for a memorable experience for us. During one particular dinner, I ordered a mixed salad without tuna, and the waiter took it upon himself to alter the order. I had also ordered a sangria and when it arrived, the taste was poor. When I alerted the waiter, he proceeded to grab a fork from a nearby table and stir it and insisted I give it another try. As an additional note on the dining experience, one can only listen to a saxophone version of "how deep is your love" by The Bee Gees so many times! As many also indicated, the sales presentation was far too long in duration. While our representatives were friendly and cordial, it was not necessary to sit for nearly 4 hours; ride a boat across the lagoon to look at a closed restaurant; and also try to enjoy breakfast while being pitched. It may make more sense for attendees for the presentation to receive the highest accommodations so as to make a potential purchase more enticing. Indeed there were some members of the staff and aspects of our stay that were positive. The beach is wonderful--beautiful water and sand. The mariachi band was also a nice touch. Finally, the shower in the room was amazing, but was not enough to alter the overall impression of this experience--wholly inadequate.

We absolutely loved staying here in May of 2024. The staff were extremely friendly. The grounds were clean and beautiful. We will be returning.

It's is awesome here at this resort!! B4 anyone can come in they have you walk thru a sanitizing shower and they also spray your hands with sanitizer ... Honestly I was very happy and surprised because Las Vegas resorts does not do that "high volume tourists area". All the employees that we came across were nice, happy, and very friendly! Now while being honest I didn't like the alcohol selection but mainly because I prefer top shelf and they have the lower shelf brands... but they have a good stiff pour. All the employees that we came across was nice, happy, and very friendly! I have to mention two staff members that really stood out the most was Miguel and Hanz, They were awesome, completely friendly, helpful and took time to talk to us. It was awesome knowing that if we had questions or concerns we could talk to one of them and they would help us out to the best of their ability. You might say it's their job but their rapport building was not a put on it really felt genuine. They remembered from first talking to us days after when my birthday was and helped make it super special Thanx Guys!!! My fiance and I really appreciated it. I highly recommend visiting this resort. You will not regret it ,and it will be an unforgettable experience.

The hotel is part of the RCI resort partners. Our stay was wonderful. Great views, open concept rooms, clean and pleasant aesthetic, attentive personnel, and delicious meals. My advice is to pay for the all inclusive and eat at the El Comal dinner or by the pool.

Having stayed here three times in the last 15 years I can tell you the service has continued to get worse at each stay. I am not sure if it is the culture of the people or just this hotel. The specialty restaurants have gone downhill where service is deplorable. The rooms not on the 8th or 9th floor need some upgrades and maintenance. We have stayed at Riu in the last year and I would recommend that unless you are with an older crowd.

    Pool area.

I enjoyed it. The staff was amazing. I definitely enjoyed the entertainment staff. Victor was awesome! He kept us entertained for sure and told us about beautiful Cancun and the resort.

Awesome clean protocols. I felt safe during my trip... raphael the butler was the best. Hooked us up with facial n massage discounts while here. Food was fresh n plenty n of course the drinks were always available

Great place. Best view of the ocean and is close the beach. The service was great and they treated us like respect and understanding and care what your needs were. A special thanks to our server Carlos Martinez-Vela who works with all our needs. I appreciate being it's my first time traveling to Cancun.

I cannot recommend this hotel more highly. It's the best experience I've ever had at an all…read moreinclusive hotel. At the end of my stay, I did not want to leave. Sometimes all inclusive hotels can feel gimmicky, like being on a cruise ship or something. This was not that at all. This was a high end experience from start to finish. The hotel service and facilities are impeccable. I was blown away by the care they take to tend to each guest. I was only there for a few days and people took the effort to learn my name and my personal preferences. To start, the room was incredible. I stayed in a suite and it had a juccuzi right inside the room and an ocean view with a hammock. The room also came with a mini bar which was restocked daily (although you could also call and request anything at any time). Every day they had a different schedule of activities for guests with quality entertainment (not tacky acts). They had all all white party with a circus one day which was fun, a foam party, bull riding and more. The food deserves its own review. It exceed my expectations by a lot. They had several food options to choose from, including an Asian restaurant, a Mediterranean restaurant, a mexican restaurant a cafe and a global buffet. The restaurants were all open extended hours until 10 or 10:30 so there were always food options available. The global buffet did different themed dinners every night. Of the restaurants, I liked all but I'd say the Mediterranean was the most high quality. The preparation and taste was on par with any top NYC restaurant. The octopus dish was especially memorable. Second favorite was probably the Mexican restaurant. They have a chef from Oaxaca who makes a great mole. At each restaurant, the managers always made an effort to stop by my table to make sure I had what I needed. The employees genuinely care about serving you and they do it gladly. Sometimes you go to places where the employees are disgruntled or have a bad attitude. Not the case here at all. Everyone seemed generally happy and in a good mood. It felt like most of the people here were celebrating something, whether a bachelorette party or birthday, but it didn't feel overall raucous or anything. They had a silent disco one night and I think that also helped with any potential late night noise issues. I was really impressed with how well curated the schedule of activities was. Additionally, the hotel was very clean. When I first got in, people were mopping. They're constantly changing pool towels that are left out. Everything was spotless. The sheets were crisp and white. My room was changed to my liking. No complaints. One of the better places I've stayed. I would definitely come back in a heart beat. I loved it here!

This was not my first visit to Hyatt Zilara Cancun and it was actually my amazing experience here in 2019 that started my loyalty to Hyatt. I am currently a World of Hyatt Discoverist member, and after my first visit to Zilara, we loved the Hyatt experience so much that we chose Hyatt Ziva for our vow renewal in 2022. Because of that, returning to Zilara was something I had looked forward to for years. First, the staff at this resort deserves so much recognition. My concerns are not a reflection of the employees because the service was consistently excellent throughout our stay. From before we even arrived to our final day, everyone we interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely wanted guests to have a great experience. Before our trip, Eddie reached out as our concierge and was extremely helpful in making sure we were prepared for our stay. He helped coordinate our spa services ahead of time and assisted us with securing a late checkout, which made our trip much smoother and more relaxing. At check-in, Luis helped us on the World of Hyatt side and was wonderful. He explained the changes and additions to the resort, helped us understand reservations, and made sure we had the information we needed. Throughout the resort, the service remained consistent. Even when I had a meal I didn't enjoy, a staff member at the teppanyaki restaurant was genuinely concerned, offered alternatives, and wanted to make it right. That level of care stood out. Our room was excellent. We stayed on the fifth floor in a corner room and it was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The bed was fantastic, and I loved the pillows so much I am actually trying to find out what kind they are so I can buy them for home. The bathroom was great, especially the mirror with multiple lighting options. The shower had great water pressure and plenty of hot water, which I always appreciate. The only thing I personally missed was having a bathtub, but overall I had no complaints about the room. The resort itself is beautiful and extremely clean. The pool area is relaxing with comfortable chairs, and it was never difficult to find a place to sit. The atmosphere is definitely more quiet and relaxing rather than a party environment, which can be a positive depending on the type of trip you want. The beach was well maintained, especially considering the seaweed situation during our visit. The staff worked hard to keep it cleaned up, and the things outside of the resort's control, like weather and ocean conditions, did not impact my opinion. The spa was absolutely phenomenal and I wrote a separate review specifically for that experience because it deserves its own recognition. The gym was also impressive for a resort gym. There was plenty of equipment, treadmills, a stretching/yoga space, and even a Pilates studio. I was hoping to participate in Pilates, but the class filled up quickly. I thought the fitness offerings were a nice addition. Where this stay fell short for me was the food. At an all-inclusive resort, the food experience is such a huge part of the overall value because you are eating every meal on property. When we visited in 2019, one of our favorite memories was eating at Pelicanos by the pool, so we were excited to return there first. We knew things had changed since our last visit, but unfortunately the quality and options did not feel the same. We tried several restaurants, and while the service was always great, the food itself was disappointing. The Italian restaurant felt very bland overall, although the bread service and tiramisu were enjoyable. The cacio e pepe and pasta dishes did not meet expectations. The teppanyaki experience also was not what I expected. I was hoping for more of a traditional hibachi-style experience, and the meat quality was disappointing. The buffet was fine, especially breakfast, but nothing really stood out. Room service was quick and the staff was friendly, but again the food itself was not something we loved. My favorite treat on property ended up being the ice cream at the coffee shop. The biggest thing I missed was having easy poolside food options. When I'm at an all-inclusive, I love being able to relax by the pool and grab things like quesadillas, ceviche, or small bites without stopping the pool day. The lack of that type of experience was probably my biggest disappointment. Drinks and pool service were great, and the staff did a wonderful job checking on guests. I personally don't drink alcohol, but it was clear they were attentive with beverages. Entertainment was limited compared to some other all-inclusive resorts. There were some activities and a few performances, but not the larger

We did not think it was worth the extra money because we enjoyed hanging out at the noisy activity pool and rarely went to the itsy bitsy lounge. Pros: *Food is good with a wide variety in buffet---gorgeous 2nd floor area with a view *Room was nice and the view from the ocean front is unreal *Arianny at the Diamond Club beach area was the best server ever! We visited in mid December, and found everything to be truly great. We went in with relatively low expectations about crowds, food, updates around the hotel, etc. The building/grounds: it's no 5 star luxury hotel, but it is well kept, clean, and spacious enough to accommodate your needs. For our family, we really loved that the layout is pretty condensed. Within a couple of minutes, you can easily walk from the kids' pool to the beach. This made it so easy to move from spot to spot throughout the day without crazy transitions. (Really the only challenge was that I didn't get a map or see a posted one, but it wasn't too hard to find things or just ask for help) The activities: the two pools, pirate ship themed water slides, and two larger slides (for ages 5-12 only) and the beach were all beautiful and enough to entertain our crew. They regularly have workouts going on, sand volleyball games, pool games, etc. There are plenty of opportunities to move and interact with other guests if you want to. The food/drink scene: we tried all but one of the restaurants for dinner (sorry casa de Rosa , the one night we tried to get in we waited too late and it was too full for a table of 6). Previous reviews raved about Viaggi's for Italian cuisine, so we headed there first. It was a very nice, upscale vibe, but we felt a little out of place with 3 tiny babes at the table here. We really loved the evening views at "at sunset", but our true fave was Azul: you've gotta try the teriyaki salmon. I ordered it three nights in a row . The room service was a great addition for days when we had to hang out for nap times, but we didn't love the food we received unfortunately. For breakfast, I highly recommend Ventanas (amazing views, indoor and outdoor seating, vast buffet and so quick!) Lunch favorite was the poolside grill for sure! They also had great tacos right on the beach. All the bars had quick service and friendly bartenders as well! We don't drink much so I don't have much to report there. Coffee drinkers -- you won't get a craft coffee here, but they serve Britt coffee and the staff is super hardworking. They'll accommodate you! Other noteworthy things: we had ZERO problems w crowds, We easily found chairs at the pool and at the beach, generally always had access to shade if we wanted it, and other than one night we were able to get a table anywhere we wanted without any issues. Our maid did a great job keeping up with our room, and generally was able to fulfill our special requests (for additional water bottles, refilling facial tissues, etc) The staff: truly the only name I remember at this point is Juan Carlos... Because he is a waiter at Azul, where we ate three nights in a row part of the reason we kept coming back, other than the truly top notch teriyaki salmon, was because he was so great at providing an experience for our family. The first night we came, we were a group of 9, and he immediately welcomed us as family and asked us a couple of questions about our dietary preferences and then promptly brought so.many.appetizers and fan favorite drinks without our asking. It was a treat! He was friendly and upbeat and the most memorable staff member we interacted with. Then we returned to our room with our butler, who reviewed the amenities and light switches in our room. We ate at all the restaurants. We went to Blanc and Terraza for breakfast and our 2 favorite restaurants for dinner were Bella and Yama. Unfortunately, on a few occasions, Terraza and Yama served us cold food, as if they were sitting out too long. We tried scheduling room service breakfast and they were behind in schedule 30-40 minutes. We were underwhelmed as the room service menu as it wasn't as grand as the other palace resorts; we were looking forward to the chocolate cake; which wasn't available. The K'akau, coffee shop was the best to relieve our chocolate cravings. The main pool lounge chairs were always taken, so get there early. We relaxed at all the pools and depending on the day had our favorite. The beach is beautiful and the lifeguard at the tower was always welcoming and helpful to get us lounge chairs. The spa services and hydrotherapy were wonderful, but we were disappointed that the men and women were separated in the pool and jacuzzi areas. We ran into difficulties with our dinner and spa bookings. We made prior arrangements with our pre-concierge, but when we wanted to change our schedule, the on site concierge didn't have access to canceling them. We were told to email our pre-concierge to ask her to delete them from the system. Our pre-concierge also didn't confirm our restaurant bookings for certain days and so we had to ask our Butler if they were booked. What was the most disappointing was the evening entertainment. We were looking forward to certain shows/performances and then a few hours before the scheduled time, seeing the entertainment was removed and replaced with something mundane. We've been to Sun Palace, another adult only resort, down the road and after our experience at Le Blanc, we actually prefer Sun Palace over Le Blanc. From our experience.. Le Blanc is a great place if you enjoy the spa, peace and quiet, and want to just chill and lounge. But if you want a little more excitement, fun, music, and meet people and have great conversations, Sun Palace is the place. Our Butler, Rene on the 3rd floor was awesome. He made our anniversary special. Safety: We felt safe. When we arrived at the resort after walking down the hotel zone, security always checked us in. When we arrived via taxi or uber, they did the same thing. If you walked out to the beach, you have to scan your bracelet to exit the gate and also scan it the when you enter back onto the resort property. Elevators: There are 3 elevators and during our stay, 1 was always out of order. One day, 2 elevators were out of order. Luckily, we were only on the 3rd floor, so we often took the stairs. The stairwell does need more lighting, it is dark, so watch your step.

We arrived late and asked for bottled water, and were told to just drink the sink water... in Mexico. That alone set the tone. I also repeatedly emailed our concierge for assistance and received no response whatsoever. Our room smelled like mold, and the sheets were damp. Housekeeping replaced them, but the odor and overall condition never improved. Not what you expect at this level. Then it got worse. We had two rooms, one at this hotel and one at a neighboring hotel where a large group of our family was staying. That other hotel requires wristbands, which we had, so security here assumed we didn't belong, even though we had rooms at this property. At the pool, they approached us publicly and repeatedly questioned us, over and over, in front of everyone. No attempt to verify privately, no discretion, just standing over us and making a scene. It was humiliating. Then it happened again. While checking out, we crossed back onto this property to retrieve our luggage that they were holding. Security stopped us again and treated us like we were doing something wrong, only to confirm, once again, that we were legitimate guests. Two separate incidents. Same behavior. The level of aggression and lack of professionalism from security is completely out of control. This is not how paying guests should ever be treated. This wasn't just a misunderstanding, it was a failure in how guests are handled, and it happened more than once. We will never stay here again.

The staff was always nearby, attentively anticipating our needs and checking in seamlessly to ensure we have everything we could possibly want, creating a refined and personalized luxury experience throughout out stay. The property itself is stunning- beautiful ocean views, though it is an old property but is well maintained. Our room was spacious and had breathtaking views of the turquoise Caribbean Sea. The food was another highlight. With multiple onsite restaurants. Vina del Mar was perfect for starting the day- it serves breakfast lunch and dinner and offers mexican and international cuisine . Outdoor sitting was beautiful. All other restaurants would need reservations- and we tried Chianti Trattoria Italiana - serving Italian cuisine and had elegant atmosphere. La Joya- serving authentic Mexican cuisine with incredible presentation. With its prime beachfront location, relaxing pools, outstanding dining options, and exceptional service, Grand Fiesta Americana Cancun delivers a truly luxurious experience. I would absolutely recommend this resort and would love to stay here again.

Stayed at the resort for ten days. May 11th 2026 through the 21st. It is a bit of an older decor…read morebut it is very clean and there are workers always cleaning. The staff was very friendly and tried to help with our request. The room was a junior suite with an ocean view. It was comfortable and our room attendant did a great job. The king bed was two beds pushed together, but with some magic by the wife we made it more like one and were very comfortable. You can get a single king bed in some of the rooms. We were there with friends and didn't want be separated so we stayed with that configuration. I would try and get a room on the west wing. It actually looks to the east and you don't get the extreme heat in the late afternoon that the east wing does. We ate at all of the restaurants and our favs were the Black and White Steak house and Krystal. The Italian restaurant off of the lobby was good for a quick slice of pizza at lunch time. The buffet is like it is on a cruise ship and was good for most of our breakfast seatings. After a few days gets a little old. The staff was super friendly and hard workers. There is a 24 hour refreshment spot, but the food is only so so. Just for a quick sandwich or fruit. They do have a beer tap and a few selections of liquor available there for self service as well. The pool and beach area had plenty of chairs and umbrellas. If you don't see any available just ask and they will make it happen if possible. My complaint about the pool would be they close at 7:00. One small pool stay open until 8:00. Way too early for an adult only. I suggest if you want to do excursions to go straight across the street to one of the stands. If you know what you want to do they are a much better deal, but be certain you know where you want to go. make sure and get transportation included in your excursion. Also in that area there is the Bamboo Spa. You can get a massage for less than half at the resort spa. They did a very good job and were very professional. Not a "happy endings" type of place. Tell them you will do the massage if they throw in the fish foot treatment. Sounds weird but it was pretty nice. This is all inclusive for food and drink. The drinks are pretty light and when you ask for something other than the house liquor I'm pretty sure it didn't happen all the time. The best is to ask for the drink with a shot on the side, or better yet go to the bar yourself and watch them make the drink. It was definitely better and i was assured to get the name brand. Over all I would recommend this RIU.

Our previous hotel left a lot to be desired, so this was a very welcome change. From the entrance way I was impressed with the decor walking through the garden and pool area I was in awe of how beautiful everything was. The room was immaculately clean, and while it was a standard room it was very nice and spacious and the marble flooring was such a nice touch. The shower was huge !!! We got in late so I assumed finding food would be a struggle , wrong again they offered 3 dining options late night as well as room service!!! The restaurant we found had amazing drinks and the food was so fresh and good ugh ! The restaurant was Cafe Urbano . The next morning we woke up and we were able to have a delicious breakfast with plenty of options including fresh fruit and let me tell you that in room coffee is also amazing! I honestly cannot wait to return to Cancun. I would definitely stay at this resort again. I've stayed at a several of hotels in Cancun and this is on the list of must return!!

He has a difficult job and does it very well. BANQUETS REVIEW My friends hosted a Private pool party at Presidente InterContinental Cancun in August went on without a hitch. The pool area, cabanas, and buffet stations were immaculate . Despite the rain, we had a fabulous time. One star deduction for not being prepared for my food allergies which the catering/ banquet staff was aware of for more than three weeks. Thankfully, the staffed hurried to find two items that I could eat. They covered for the below par communication and made it work for me to have a chicken breast and two slices of steak which were both cooked properly and were flavorful. Most importantly, the wedding couple was not impacted. They had a wonderful time.
