Service is excellent.... Soon as we got down from our van, we were welcome with some wet towels and a refresher... Then we went straight ahead in check in area. We were greeted soon as we approach the desk, we were checked in very quick, also efficient. We were told about what's included in our package and basic info of the resort, where we can use our credits etc. The only thing they didn't have of the view that we requested which was also fine. The place is pretty clean and our room was very spacious. The pool is also well kept and not too crowded during our stay, the pool and the beach distance wasn't even that far. We also had a massage by the beach which was amazing. We also used our credit at the spa for a proper full body massage which was great very relaxing. The food the bar the restaurants the ice cream store are all great. I couldn't say anything bad about the service and our stay. It's also all inclusive so if you come please bring $1 For tipping if not do money exchange. read more

As a member of Palace Resorts, I'm happy to hear that this resort is going to receive a much needed face lift. When we first came here about six years ago, we were pretty impressed with the pools on the roof, 360° views, as well as their international buffet. All that had changed with our most recent visit. Why? Because things just didn't smell right. We were aware of the negative reviews, but we thought we'd give this place a try anyways. Also thinking of how impressive it was with our first visit. We came here recently in mid-August, which is usually the slow season, only it wasn't as slow as we thought. There were families and kids everywhere, enjoying their last-minute vacation time before they go back to school. Understandable, I can handle it! Unfortunately, the food lines seemed a bit longer, even when all we wanted was ice cream and coffee. Reservations highly recommended if you're planning for a dinner at one of their restaurants! We didn't care about the pool so much, as again it just seemed like there were too many people swimming. The water-slide did look cool to ride, but that's just about it. So here's where another star starts to fall... The bedsheets! They smelled musty and awful! I'm sure it's not the maintenance staffs fault. The housekeeping staff were nice when we requested extra towels and other things. But I'm sorry, the water or plumbing needs to be fixed. I didn't want to sleep another day here because I didn't want the smell like stinky sheets to stick on me. We ended up switching to their other resort, the LeBlanc down the road. Unfortunately, this last trip left us with a bad taste in our mouth. There were good and bad things, but the bad outweighs the good and and we're not sure if we want to return. Note there were more, but these are only a few things: The good: - I hear from others they have good welcome items like a drink at check-in and a small basket of chocolates (though my wife and I got neither of those and did not receive any hotel/points information when we checked in). - It's nice that they do have some free shows and activities throughout the day. - The food & drinks are good at the restaurants. - They're extra careful for those who have special restrictions (like my wife who is both celiac and pregnant). However, this can also be a bad thing when it goes too far (see below). They did seem to try; however, gluten free knowledge/service is very inconsistent. The really bad (bigger concerns): - Inconsistency with allergies. Some days the chef will come and point out what is safe and what is not, other days it seems they don't know what gluten is (since they include eggs, milk, etc.), and other days they say EVERYTHING has gluten (even things like fruit)! Is the cross contamination really that bad that every single thing is contaminated? What, are they having flour fights in the kitchen? Some days they seem to be cautious and other days they are not at all, and there seems to be no middle ground. What's worse is that my wife had eaten things that are clearly labeled gluten free and then the next day we find out everything has gluten, even items labeled gluten free... when it comes to allergies this is very bad and dangerous. - Someone in our group found mold in some of the food (specifically cake). - Misleading/manipulative and outright lying to get you to go to their presentations to sell you more things. In our case, my parents wanted to fix something on their membership and we were told the only possible way was to go to one of their other hotels and attend a presentation. After wasting half the morning (it was longer than they promised), not until the end did they say they couldn't help us. So they straight up lied to us so we would go (one of the sales agent even acknowledged it and blamed the hotel staff for it). Other bads (smaller details): - Not the best service in room and at pool. It took a phone call (hung up on us) and three separate app requests before we were able to get the room amenities that we wanted. Outside waiters can also take forever to bring things, and sometimes forget so it may take multiple asks (or it may just never arrive like it did for us a few times). Also confirm their hours because the app and two different people all gave different answers for opening time. - No honoring of verbal notification of booking benefits. While booking directly with hotel, the person we spoke to said we got a free massage, but once here we were told it was not the case. Get anything you are promised in writing. - If you're pregnant, look ahead at what they will let you do or not. While it's understandable some things are not allowed, other things didn't quite make sense (like not being able to do facials or a leg/feet-only or a scalp massage). - This isn't specific to just this hotel, but make sure you know what sargassum is and when it's its season. The Beach Palace Resort is very outdated, though I was informed renovations are set to begin next month. Despite Cancun's hot and humid weather, the air conditioning in all common areas was very low, making them unpleasantly warm. Pros: Coffee and Sweet Shop: The staff here were exceptionally friendly and always smiling. I'd give them more than 5 stars if I could! Tivoli (Italian Restaurant on MZ level): The servers were friendly, and the food was delicious with wonderful presentation. Cons: Worst Server Encounter (Daniel at Momo Asian Restaurant): Daniel was, without a doubt, the rudest server I encountered during my entire Cancun trip. He never cleared empty plates, and when asked to, he rolled his eyes and sighed. My son's water glass remained empty despite his thirst, as Daniel never bothered to check on us or refill drinks. Our food also arrived significantly later than other tables who arrived after us, even though we had a reservation and ordered the same items. His behavior felt discriminatory and completely ruined our last night's meal in Cancun. This experience was so poor that it made us question ever returning to any Palace Resort. read more

Response to the Beach Palace: I reported it the night that it happened - I sent an email out that evening and when Gretchen called me discuss, the offer was for you all to give family a meal which I declined as we had planned show to go to, booked through your property, and we would not be onsite. I had not yet even looked at my bill nor was an adjustment offered. Furthermore, I did not ask for an adjustment, simply just made my dissatisfaction known. I gave my comment very calmly and quietly - you are falsely misstating when you just need to take accountability. I recently stayed at Beach Palace with my family and felt extremely let down by the overall experience. I paid for this trip personally, and while the amount may be immaterial to a large resort, it certainly wasn't for me. I expected a relaxing vacation with quality service, as promised by their "all-inclusive" advertising. Unfortunately, what we received was far from acceptable. The most frustrating issue was the in-room dining. Meals were frequently delivered cold, overcooked, or just unappetizing. For a resort that promotes itself as high-end and all-inclusive, this level of food quality and service was simply unacceptable. It felt like the bare minimum effort was put into something that should have enhanced our stay. Given the premium we paid, the service and overall hospitality fell short in nearly every area. What should have been a memorable, enjoyable getaway turned into an experience filled with disappointment and regret. I will not be staying at any Beach Palace properties in the future, and I strongly urge management to take this feedback seriously. Guests deserve better for the money they're spending. I'm sharing this review in the hope that others will consider their options more carefully before booking. read more

We took our whole family here for a family vacation. The rooms are really nice, bed's are comfortable. The rooms have a hot tub inside the room. I believe this hotel will be getting renovated soon. Their elevators did not have AC in it. We tried all of the restaurants and they all were great. The beach was lovely, no seaweed, extremely clear water and a very short walk king distance from the pool. They have servers always on the look out for people wanting to order drinks or food. My kids loved their time here. One show we caught was the breakdancing show and it was excellent. We enjoyed the coffee/ice cream shop which had excellent crepes. The other plus side to this location was how close it is to the mall. My oldest son and I went to the aquarium and enjoyed it. We will definitely come back to this hotel. read more

Had a wonderful 7 night and 8 day stay at Beach Palace! The hotel is clean and well maintained. The employees go above and beyond to help you and make you feel comfortable. Great food options for dinner and for lunch. We loved the Wok, Munchies, the homemade pizzas, and Sweet and Coffee for dessert! Our room was a great size and we loved the ocean view. We enjoyed the jet tub as well. The air conditioning worked great. House keeping did a good job and we always were able to get the items we requested (shampoo, more towels, water, etc.). Ways to improve would be the sale's pitches. Not interested... yet every day they would try to get you to attend the seminar. We loved the nightly entertainment. The beach was beautiful and the pool was amazing and everyone made sure you were taken care of. We spent a lot of time at the pool on the top level. It was private and not a lot of kids were around. Would definitely stay at another Palace property next time we are in Cancun. Had a great time! read more

I came to this resort for a family trip (wife and 2 small boys). I DO NOT Recommend. Save your money and go somewhere else. This resort requires extensive remodeling. Bathrooms smell, throughout hotel things appear to be falling apart. This hotel is very old among the palace resorts. Does not look anything like the Internet pictures. The room had many issues (yellow water in tub), clogged sink (unable to fix), noisy. Service was requested multiple times but appears they are understaffed. The pools are dirty, pieces of tile missing, algae, water is hazy, beach area showers do not work. The hotel next door is abandoned with graffiti and homeless people living in it. After I complained to the public relations dept in the hotel, they are willing to comp us fees but there is a catch, they make you sign a "release of all claims /settlement document" releasing the hotel of all liability and also does not allow you to post on social media about any claims you made. I tried to take a picture of the document but they quickly grab it and don't allow photos. Very sketchy! This is probably why people do not post bad reviews about this hotel because by signing the legal form you cannot post about it. read more

Beach Palace would not refund us for an unused room January 27-February 1, 2025. We paid for four rooms And we used three. The day of departure one parent and one child had to stay behind because of illness and child tested positive for Influenza A. The child was sick as we were all leaving for the airport. When we checked in to Beach Palace on January 27, 2025 we shared that we would not be using the fourth room and would like a refund or credit. Beach Palace customer service said they had to contact people off property to get the request resolved. We checked back on Tuesday with customer service and they had no information. We checked back on Wednesday with customer service and we had no information. Finally on Thursday evening customer service had been notified from the off property contact and they said they WERE KEEPING OUR MONEY AND WOULD NOT REFUND US OR GIVE RESORT CREDIT FOR FUTURE USE. This is not the way to do business and suffice it to say WE WILL NEVER RECOMMEND BEACH PALACE OR ANY OF THEIR OTHER PROPERTIES. It was a planned family vacation with a tremendous lack of customer service follow through. read more

We didn't actually stay here but since it is a sister hotel to the Moon Palace Resort, we were able to catch a bus ride over to this hotel and enjoy Diamond status and plopped ourselves into a Diamond cabana and enjoyed their beach. The reason for this visit was because their beach is better than the one at Moon Palace. It has a clearer, blue beach than the one at Moon Palace. I think we stayed for about 5 hours or so before the bus came back to pick us up. I would recommend this place for a decent beach. read more

Been awhile since I have been to Mexico. Last time was also at an all-inclusive resort. Overall this is a good place for both families or couples. We were here for a wedding so the ease of setting it up was due in part to the travel agent. FYI I did hear they are closing 2023 for renovations. Rooms: ours was gulf view so that makes it much better. The extra large hot tub in room was great. The patio with large chairs lounge was fantastic. We fell asleep for a few hours out there. The room itself was a little dated/salt air worn but still good. Service: great all the way around from housekeeping to servers to bartenders. This is a timeshare company so they will try to get you to waste money on that. Food/drink: of the restaurants we ate all were solid. You of course cannot go wrong with the buffet. Lots of excellent stuff. The ceviche at the outdoor grill/smokehouse was delicious. The best was the street tacos served by the pool bar. Al Pastor and fried fish were awesome. Fried fish tacos aren't the preferred but the white fish was lime marinated and delicious. Beach/pool: always clean and easy to get drinks or food by the pool. Beach is clean and safe. Wedding service: from set up and ceremony to pre wedding dinner on first floor veranda to roof top dinner and party they do an excellent job. Made a wonderful experience for my friends wedding and all the guests. It's definitely worth a look here if you are considering destination wedding. read more

So I got here for a 5 day trip and I had a blast, all the Pools were warm and the ocean was right by the pool. 99% of the staff was super nice but not all of them, one of them was yelling at kids for no reason. The Indian restaurant said it was a 45 min wait but it ended up being a 2hr wait, other than that, not too many issues. Overall this is a great place for vacation. Wonderful resort, stayed for 4 days with 3 of my girlfriends and we had a great time. All of the workers were so kind and helpful, they were always checking in to see if we needed anything. The pools were pristine and the beach views were unmatched. Our room was incredibly clean and modern. If we needed a ride to an excursion, they were able to call a taxi that would be ready for us within 5 minutes. The restaurants were decent, we ate at Wok two nights in a row because we were simply blown away by how great the food was. The Beach Palace is a beautiful resort in the hotel zone area of Cancun. Set right on the beach, the service and rooms are great. Rooms have a view of either the ocean or the lagoon. Ours was a presidential suite and had views of both. There is a rooftop bar and pools that are fun to go to in the afternoon for full sun and a more quiet atmosphere. The beach pool is large and has daily activities like aerobics, volleyball, water yoga, and black jack. The ocean is gorgeous. The sand is so soft, it's like powdered sugar. There are lounge chairs around the pool and on the beach. The ocean is swimmable and get get some bigger waves at times. The restaurants are all delicious, especially Bocelli. There is a sports bar with nightly entertainment. Fun for a five night stay. read more

This property is a great thought with poor execution- Will not stay again. The Beach Palace is a AAA 5-Diamond resort, but lacks a Forbes' Star rating. While the majority of the staff is clueless as to the difference between a AAA-Diamond rating and a Forbes-Star rating, allow me to shed some light. AAA Diamond ratings focus primarily on amenities and what the property has to offer its guests, while Forbes Star ratings focus on the level of service a guest should expect to receive and the impact every action by the team member will have on the guest's experience. Higher AAA ratings are easier to secure than high Forbes ratings. That being said, and as my title suggests, the Beach Palace is a nice property with many amenities for the guests. However, the service pales. It was truly disappointing because the regular associates do their best to provide proper service. The management present a lacking care for the guest's well being. For example, every room has a prefilled liquor cabinet. My cabinet had everything (4 bottles) of various liquors I don't drink. I asked to have a bottle of Jim Beam or Jack Daniels switched out with one of the current bottles, since bourbon is more of my taste, and I was told by the Guest Service Manager that if I wanted Jack or Jim that I would have to go to a bar to get it. The GSM further stated that what is in the room is standard and if I don't like it, I don't have to drink it, but if I wanted a Jack and Coke at 02:00 I would have to get dressed, leave my accommodation, and find a bar to get some in a glass to take back to my room. I was so flabbergasted at her finding this to be the proper resolution that I had her repeat herself 2 additional times. It's a shame that the line-level associates really do try to make your stay remarkable while the Leadership team doesn't understand the concept of "Felt, not seen." Furthermore, it was an all-inclusive package, so I'm not sure what the big deal was over replacing 1 of the 4 bottles in my liquor cabinet that I don't drink with an inexpensive bottle of liquor that I would drink; rather than expect me to leave my room every time I want a drink at any hour of the night. read more

I had the nicest vacation at this shockingly all-inclusive yet high end resort. We really had a lovely time. When I went, the service was great, the facilities and restaurants were very clean and the room was spectacular. The wait staff by the pool remembered our names and drinks. We were there for a business/working vacation. We had a few meetings and group dinners but most of the time, we were on our own. The rooms we had the group dinners in were large, well stocked and the food/bevs were great. A wedding was going on in another room but no service suffered. I didn't use the pool or the gym. We mostly stayed at the beach. But I did have a mani-pedi at the spa with the resort credit I received. They had the callus-eating fish pedi option but I opted for the regular tub pedi. It was still great! And I was able to drink at 10am, while getting a pedi void of judgement! We arrived at an odd time - 3pm-ish. We were starving but the restaurants weren't opened. We were invited to a happy hour at the sports bar or room service. We naturally picked the happy hour and it was such a perfect way to kick off the trip. The restaurants were nice and the ice cream shop was delicious and great for kids (or, our inner kid at heart). Overall, amazing experience here. read more

We were staying at Moon Palace Nizuc and decided to take the complimentary bus over to Beach Palace. The bus is first come first serve. It stops at 2 other resorts (Grand and Sunrise). We had a group of 10 and were luck to get on! Took the last seats. It's about a 30 minute ride to Beach Palace. The bus was clean and air conditioned. It picks you up at 12pm and comes back to pick you up from Beach Palace at 5:30pm The beach was nice. Luckily we were a VIP (black wristband) group so we were able to take advantage of the nice padded loungers. Service was great and we had drinks within minutes. The water is beautiful! You have to walk past a little seaweed on the beach but the water is beautiful, turquoise and clear! The waves are fun! We spent some time in the water then relaxed on the beach for a bit. We also visited the roof top pool and bar. We were just about the only ones there. I think people tend to spend more time on the beach. The swim up bar was great and the bartenders were attentive. I'd definitely recommend checking this out if you have the time. Be sure to bring a change of clothes if you don't want to ride the bus back with a wet bathing suit :) read more

This is a good resort because of the beach, food, location and kid friendly. If you have been to a lot of all-inclusive resorts, it's not the best. The beach is beautiful here. Sand is white. Water is blue. I am a beach person and I 100% approve lol. The food is great. The room service takes up to an hour so plan ahead. Sometimes room service quality is better than the buffet. Also you can enjoy it on your balcony overlooking the ocean or on your fluffy, cozy white bed. The steak at the restaurant is extra but so worth it. The lobster is extra too but at a reasonable price. The buffet changes themes for dinner which is cool. Great selection for breakfast and lunch. I love the coffee shop with ice cream and desserts. The location is by many other hotels and shops so it's nice if you want to get out. The layout of the resort is small. The pool and beach are the only thing you can explore out of the building. Considering you can walk to shops nearby it's a nice compromise if you need space. The lights and plumbing stopped working for about 12 hours but I survived the flood of '93 in Iowa. I know how to flush a toilet in dire situations lol. Fortunately it didn't interfere with our day. read more

This was my family's first time in Cancun & Beach Palace made it a wonderful stay. 4 restaurants (Asian, Italian, steakhouse, Mexican buffet) and every one was delicious with fun/different menus. So many options for drinks, desserts. The beach was absolutely beautiful with turquoise clear water and calm waves. Lots of lounge chairs on the beach for lounging all day. There are shows/entertainment every night. The rooftop has 2 pools, gym, bar, food options and beautiful views. The staff was absolutely accommodating and kind, became a second home while we were staying abroad. To the General Manager, Let me start by expressing how livid and disappointed I am. Currently, on our first day in the hotel. A) Called the front desk at 5:20pm to inquire if I can get a guest pass for a therapist for my pregnant wife who happens to be here celebrating her birthday. Answer was YES. Please get one from Public Relations desk. B) Therapist arrives and we spent 40 minutes with Angelica who tried to get approval but in the end declined access to the Therapist. I explained to her that the instructions were crystal clear when I called from our room to front desk. C) After following instructions provided, which evidently was wrong, I had to pay the Therapist a cancellation fee for the inconvenience. D) This is utter failure to explain hotel policy to a guest and unacceptable misinformation. E) Hotel management urgently needs to retrain personnel regarding hotel policies. My stay at Beach Palace Cancun was awful from day one. the staff there was amazing. Everyone was nice and accommodating. However, I booked two rooms. One was a try and buy and the other was at market rate. When me and my arrived to our rooms, both rooms had issues. We had rooms, 1004 and 1009. On the very first night 1009 toilet would not flush. Room 1004 hot tub was not working properly, as the hot water flow was weak, which caused the water to run under the faucet and spill over the base of the hot tub onto the floor. There were roaches in the room. I had to request that someone come and spray for bugs. I thought those were the only set of issues until the next day. I began to smell a very foul odor from the shower. It smelled the entire room. The smell would come and go so we had to keep the bathroom door closed to keep the room from smelling like a sewer. When I reported it to guest services on the last night he said that he had been getting complaints from that room regarding that odor, and he explained That there was a problem with the plumbing and sometimes the water gets stagnant in the pipes which caused that odor. The decorative pillow provided on the bed was filthy. I had to eventually put it in the closet to keep room service from placing it on the bed. Also, on the last night, my husband went to the restroom and the door locked on him, locking him inside. I was unable to open the door from the outside, and my husband had to kick the door open to get out of the restroom as he panicked and didn't want to wait for guest services. I reported it to guest services not long after my husband freed himself from the restroom and he sent someone to fix the door. Later on that night, the bathroom light stopped working. My husband and I had to shower and use the restroom in the dark. I reported it at checkout. I have to say, I was not pleased with my stay I worked the entire time to get to the moon Palace grand. Once they found me a room, my son had found friends at the resort, and wanted to stay there at Beach Palace. I wanted my children to enjoy themselves, so I decided to stay. I also have to add that the food was very underwhelming. As someone who likes to travel and visit of a countries and cultures, I have to say I was not happy with Cancun Beach Palace at all. I started to document how old the building is the abandoned building next-door to the resort . The cleanliness of the hotel was not up to par. The doors and the windows that were glass were dirty with fingerprints all up and down the glass windows. In both rooms, the patio furniture was dirty. We did not even want to sit on the patio cushions. I was very interested in purchasing a timeshare at the presentation, but because of my experience, I decided not to become a member. I wrote a complaint to corporate. someone name Elizabeth Torres saying they received my email but no resolve as of yet. i would not suggest Beach Palace Cancún. They need to tear it down and rebuild. read more

The Beach Palace is a great resort. We bought the all-inclusive package from Costco and I'm glad we did. It came with Airport-to-Hotel transfer. No need for worrying about your ride. Just make sure you look for the Costco Travel sign when you get to Mexico. There will be others who will try to sell you site tours. Once reaching the hotel, we were treated very respectfully and nice. The front desk clerk, Isis, was friendly and helpful. We upgraded to ocean view and it was very well worth it. The rooms, however, lack sound-proofing. You can hear next door like you're in the same room. Staying at Beach Palace, you can visit the other Palace resorts. They have a bus that will take you there and the all-inclusive applies to the other Palace resorts as well. The restaurants were great. The have a buffet with different kind of food...from mexican, asian to american. You'll always find something. Our favorite was The Wok (Japanese restaurant) and La Terraza (American restaurant). Remember, it's all-inclusive. All the sashimi, steak, tempura, etc. that you want. They have tacos by the pool. The host for the restaurants could be a bit nicer. They didn't smile much and wan't too friendly. As a host, this is a must. Juan, the restaurant manager, made things right. Being it's an all-inclusive package, we weren't required to tip. we stayed at beach palace cancun in september for vacation and november for a wedding. this luxury hotel is a great price point and all inclusive. to start, the hotel coordinated airport transfer to and from hotel. we found this very convenient. all the staff for airport transfer and hotel speak perfect english. there are many restaurants with different cuisines - wok (asian), agra by wok (indian), tequila (buffet), bocelli (italian), smokehouse ("steakhouse") and sweets and coffee (dessert café). many of the restaurants you can order many dishes to try different foods. the waiters were very knowledgeable about the menu foods and drinks. the wait time is very short. even if there is a little wait, you can go to the bar and enjoy drinks while waiting. the beach is beautiful here. there are pristine clear, shallow and calm waters. this is a good beach for families and beginner swimmers. i would just research the weather / season because sometimes the water has lots of seaweed. the pools upstairs and on the roof were very warm. the activity coordinator (a young lady) was very energetic and welcoming. the hotel had many bars - pool bar, stadium bar, and sky bar. the pool bar has good service no matter which area of the pool/beach you. the stadium bar had the best drinks and activities/games. the bartender lady was the best bartender i have ever had. the strawberry margarita and tiki drink are remarkable and so refreshing. sky bar has beautiful views of the beach and lagoon. the staff there was my favorite. they were so fun to hang out at the pool with. the rooms were very clean and spotless. the whole room and hotel have this scent that is so fresh and inviting. the room even provided wine and a restockable liquor drawer/ refreshments. we ordered a lot of room service as well. the chocolate dessert is very good. my partner and i both went to the spa. he got a haircut. i got my nails done. all the services on the spa menu are affordable. the fitness center was big for the hotel. it has all the equipment you need. it was very sanitary - more than a normal gym. the gym has the best water bottles to drink. i would highly recommend doing a session with the photographer at this location. the quality of the pictures are amazing. i have so many beautiful portraits to enjoy throughout the years. our photographer luis captured the beauty of cancun in all of our photos. i would recommend booking before your arrival or as soon as you get to the hotel. the palace resort app is very user friendly. from your phone you can see restaurant wait times, order room service, schedule spa, and request maid service/items to your room. special shout out to omar, oscar, and filiberto from the sky bar / restaurants! they were very attentive. they made great food and drinks. they even remembered us from the first time we came! read more

We loved this place. The beach is choppy waves but it's gorgeous aqua water & soft fine sand. Lots of places to sit or lay. Service was wonderful on the beach. Areas for people who arent diamond members. Pools were clean! They have 3 hot tubs one by the pool and 2 on the roof. The view is breathtaking from up there. There a gym up there too. The food is Delicious. Heated pools. We did not stay in a room but we were bussed from moon palace a few times. Great for kids bc it has a water slide. This is one of my favorite places! read more

This review is way overdue. We stayed at the Beach Palace for one week from late December 2016 through the first week of January 2017. It was great. We are a family four (two kids) and we all loved it. It was all inclusive. They have four restaurants you can dine in or get room service. You have to try the cochinita pibil - so yum. It's much smaller compared to the Moon Palace, but the beach by the Beach Palace is gorgeous. The beach by the Moon, not so much. I took one star off because the sales guys were annoying and the cleaning service could had been a tad better. Other than that, food, service, and amenities were great. We will definitely go back. read more

Well I will say that at least the palace resorts are consistent, this place is just as much of a dump as the grand. The food is disgusting and the servers are no where to be found. With that being said the only thing worth seeing here is the beach and there are far more luxurious resorts on the strip with servers and staff that actually do their job! Avoid this place and honestly avoid the whole Palace brand in general. read more

I'm so disappointed with our stay at Beach Palace. We arrived to our Lagoon view rooms. Do not stay in a lagoon view! The best part of this place is the view. Even though they didn't have exactly what we needed for our family, we opted to pay $1300 US dollars for an "upgrade" to 2 beachfront view rooms that didn't adjoin and didn't have some of the amenities of the family suite (adjoining rooms) with the lagoon view. However, besides the view, this was NOT an upgrade. We had a terrible sewage smell coming from the shower drain. After complaining (we don't like to complain on vacation and show our kids that we are picky!) they finally sent someone to "fix" the problem. They came in and dumped a bunch of caustic chemicals into the drain. The smell of the chemicals lasted for over a day and gave me a headache. I ended up sleeping outside on the outdoor bed. The chemicals finally cleared the smell. At that time, someone had asked my husband if it was ok and as we were on our way out the door to go to Isla Mujeres, he said everything was fine. Well, when we got back that night, the sewage smell was back again. I knew that if we complained again we would either get 1)more chemicals, more headaches and more throat burning sensations or 2) we would get moved. We are a family of 6 with 2 rooms and limited time in Mexico, so we opted to stay out of the room as much as possible. When I told the front desk about the problem again and how our "upgrade" was actually a downgrade and asked for our "upgrade" fee back after already paying almost $8000 for our vacation, we were offered $60 to take a taxi to the airport. My husband said he would accept that, and then still follow up to see about getting our money back. Well, he would have to sign a paper to "accept their offer" which stated that we couldn't hold Palace Resorts liable for anything else. He would not sign the paper and would not accept the money because that was insulting and outrageous! We left and said we would have our travel agent be in touch. Well, now Gretchen is lying to our travel agent! Saying that we accepted their money (we did not!) We didn't sign anything and didn't take their money! The customer service here is horrible!! If you have anything to complain about (we had a lot of things! Ie) 2 broken locks, plugged sink for the duration of the stay, the chemicals, the sewage smell, the loud music on the beach and at the pool, not having the liquor dispenser locked in the kids rooms, having the rose petals on the kids' bed and not my husbands and my bed...) YOU BETTER COMPLAIN THE WHOLE Trip! This is not my idea of a vacation to have to be negative and complain. I will update this review if our upgrade fee is reimbursed and they end up telling the truth. If not, I will make sure to get this review posted on other places. The food here is about quantity and not quality. You can find much better. We were excites about things like the smoothie bowls (all fake, not real fruit and not cold), tuna tostado (barely edible), drinks (very watered down and sugary) and ended up super disappointed. This review and rating is for the airport transfer service that was provided by the Palace Resorts in Cancun. Please keep in mind it's NOT for the Beach Palace hotel. The hotel would get 4.5 stars rating from us. We have been vacationing many times at various Palace resorts in Cancun since becoming members over 20 years ago. As Palace members, Palace Resorts provide us airport transfers from and to the airport. We have never encountered any issues up until this recent trip. 1) Delay at the Airport - The transfer service didn't have our names on the arrival list even though we completed everything they asked prior to our departure from California, and we were issued a confirmation number. Still, we had to wait a while in the Cancun heat at the airport for them to contact their main office before they allowed us into the van, which was not fun when we were so tired from a redeye flight. 2) Delay Services - the trip from Beach Palace to the Cancun airport takes about 20 minutes. Our flight departed at 8 a.m. The transfer service scheduled the pick up time at 3:20 a.m., almost 5 hours before the departure time. As we have done in the past, we would change the pick-up time and signed a liability waiver. This, in the past, was done with a vacation planner representative and it was easy. This time they advised us to go online, which was fine. However, there was no option to change the time only the dates. In order to change the time, we would need to call. We attempted to call couple of times but we were put on hold forever. The last call we made we actually waited for an hour and a half before we got to speak to someone, but all was good. We got to change the time! 3) Demanding Tips - This is the primary reason we decided to write this review. We brought with us a lot of small bills for tips even though tips were already included in the all inclusive. At the end of the trip, we ran out of money to tip the driver on the returning trip to the airport (perhaps we were too generous at the hotel). As the driver dropped us off, he handed us our luggage, and he kept saying, "tips for the driver, tips for driver...". His voice was loud, demanding, and rude. It was embarrassing! We hope for a better experience on our next vacation in Cancun. read more
