Mold found in cake (from Sweet & Coffee)
    Chuy A.

Unfortunately, this last trip left us with a bad taste in our mouth. There were good and bad things, but the bad outweighs the good and and we're not sure if we want to return. Note there were more, but these are only a few things: The good: - I hear from others they have good welcome items like a drink at check-in and a small basket of chocolates (though my wife and I got neither of those and did not receive any hotel/points information when we checked in). - It's nice that they do have some free shows and activities throughout the day. - The food & drinks are good at the restaurants. - They're extra careful for those who have special restrictions (like my wife who is both celiac and pregnant). However, this can also be a bad thing when it goes too far (see below). They did seem to try; however, gluten free knowledge/service is very inconsistent. The really bad (bigger concerns): - Inconsistency with allergies. Some days the chef will come and point out what is safe and what is not, other days it seems they don't know what gluten is (since they include eggs, milk, etc.), and other days they say EVERYTHING has gluten (even things like fruit)! Is the cross contamination really that bad that every single thing is contaminated? What, are they having flour fights in the kitchen? Some days they seem to be cautious and other days they are not at all, and there seems to be no middle ground. What's worse is that my wife had eaten things that are clearly labeled gluten free and then the next day we find out everything has gluten, even items labeled gluten free... when it comes to allergies this is very bad and dangerous. - Someone in our group found mold in some of the food (specifically cake). - Misleading/manipulative and outright lying to get you to go to their presentations to sell you more things. In our case, my parents wanted to fix something on their membership and we were told the only possible way was to go to one of their other hotels and attend a presentation. After wasting half the morning (it was longer than they promised), not until the end did they say they couldn't help us. So they straight up lied to us so we would go (one of the sales agent even acknowledged it and blamed the hotel staff for it). Other bads (smaller details): - Not the best service in room and at pool. It took a phone call (hung up on us) and three separate app requests before we were able to get the room amenities that we wanted. Outside waiters can also take forever to bring things, and sometimes forget so it may take multiple asks (or it may just never arrive like it did for us a few times). Also confirm their hours because the app and two different people all gave different answers for opening time. - No honoring of verbal notification of booking benefits. While booking directly with hotel, the person we spoke to said we got a free massage, but once here we were told it was not the case. Get anything you are promised in writing. - If you're pregnant, look ahead at what they will let you do or not. While it's understandable some things are not allowed, other things didn't quite make sense (like not being able to do facials or a leg/feet-only or a scalp massage). - This isn't specific to just this hotel, but make sure you know what sargassum is and when it's its season. We came in June and it was the worst we've seen ever.

We took our whole family here for a family vacation. The rooms are really nice, bed's are comfortable. The rooms have a hot tub inside the room. I believe this hotel will be getting renovated soon. Their elevators did not have AC in it. We tried all of the restaurants and they all were great. The beach was lovely, no seaweed, extremely clear water and a very short walk king distance from the pool. They have servers always on the look out for people wanting to order drinks or food. My kids loved their time here. One show we caught was the breakdancing show and it was excellent. We enjoyed the coffee/ice cream shop which had excellent crepes. The other plus side to this location was how close it is to the mall. My oldest son and I went to the aquarium and enjoyed it. We will definitely come back to this hotel.

Had a wonderful 7 night and 8 day stay at Beach Palace! The hotel is clean and well maintained. The employees go above and beyond to help you and make you feel comfortable. Great food options for dinner and for lunch. We loved the Wok, Munchies, the homemade pizzas, and Sweet and Coffee for dessert! Our room was a great size and we loved the ocean view. We enjoyed the jet tub as well. The air conditioning worked great. House keeping did a good job and we always were able to get the items we requested (shampoo, more towels, water, etc.). Ways to improve would be the sale's pitches. Not interested... yet every day they would try to get you to attend the seminar. We loved the nightly entertainment. The beach was beautiful and the pool was amazing and everyone made sure you were taken care of. We spent a lot of time at the pool on the top level. It was private and not a lot of kids were around. Would definitely stay at another Palace property next time we are in Cancun. Had a great time!

I came to this resort for a family trip (wife and 2 small boys). I DO NOT Recommend. Save your money and go somewhere else. This resort requires extensive remodeling. Bathrooms smell, throughout hotel things appear to be falling apart. This hotel is very old among the palace resorts. Does not look anything like the Internet pictures. The room had many issues (yellow water in tub), clogged sink (unable to fix), noisy. Service was requested multiple times but appears they are understaffed. The pools are dirty, pieces of tile missing, algae, water is hazy, beach area showers do not work. The hotel next door is abandoned with graffiti and homeless people living in it. After I complained to the public relations dept in the hotel, they are willing to comp us fees but there is a catch, they make you sign a "release of all claims /settlement document" releasing the hotel of all liability and also does not allow you to post on social media about any claims you made. I tried to take a picture of the document but they quickly grab it and don't allow photos. Very sketchy! This is probably why people do not post bad reviews about this hotel because by signing the legal form you cannot post about it.

We didn't actually stay here but since it is a sister hotel to the Moon Palace Resort, we were able to catch a bus ride over to this hotel and enjoy Diamond status and plopped ourselves into a Diamond cabana and enjoyed their beach. The reason for this visit was because their beach is better than the one at Moon Palace. It has a clearer, blue beach than the one at Moon Palace. I think we stayed for about 5 hours or so before the bus came back to pick us up. I would recommend this place for a decent beach.

Been awhile since I have been to Mexico. Last time was also at an all-inclusive resort. Overall this is a good place for both families or couples. We were here for a wedding so the ease of setting it up was due in part to the travel agent. FYI I did hear they are closing 2023 for renovations. Rooms: ours was gulf view so that makes it much better. The extra large hot tub in room was great. The patio with large chairs lounge was fantastic. We fell asleep for a few hours out there. The room itself was a little dated/salt air worn but still good. Service: great all the way around from housekeeping to servers to bartenders. This is a timeshare company so they will try to get you to waste money on that. Food/drink: of the restaurants we ate all were solid. You of course cannot go wrong with the buffet. Lots of excellent stuff. The ceviche at the outdoor grill/smokehouse was delicious. The best was the street tacos served by the pool bar. Al Pastor and fried fish were awesome. Fried fish tacos aren't the preferred but the white fish was lime marinated and delicious. Beach/pool: always clean and easy to get drinks or food by the pool. Beach is clean and safe. Wedding service: from set up and ceremony to pre wedding dinner on first floor veranda to roof top dinner and party they do an excellent job. Made a wonderful experience for my friends wedding and all the guests. It's definitely worth a look here if you are considering destination wedding.

    Pool by the ocean

So I got here for a 5 day trip and I had a blast, all the Pools were warm and the ocean was right by the pool. 99% of the staff was super nice but not all of them, one of them was yelling at kids for no reason. The Indian restaurant said it was a 45 min wait but it ended up being a 2hr wait, other than that, not too many issues. Overall this is a great place for vacation. Just don't eat at the Indian restaurant

Wonderful resort, stayed for 4 days with 3 of my girlfriends and we had a great time. All of the workers were so kind and helpful, they were always checking in to see if we needed anything. The pools were pristine and the beach views were unmatched. Our room was incredibly clean and modern. If we needed a ride to an excursion, they were able to call a taxi that would be ready for us within 5 minutes. The restaurants were decent, we ate at Wok two nights in a row because we were simply blown away by how great the food was. The Italian restaurant was disappointing and we wished there was a Mexican restaurant option other than the buffet. All in all, would definitely stay here again!

The Beach Palace is a beautiful resort in the hotel zone area of Cancun. Set right on the beach, the service and rooms are great. Rooms have a view of either the ocean or the lagoon. Ours was a presidential suite and had views of both. There is a rooftop bar and pools that are fun to go to in the afternoon for full sun and a more quiet atmosphere. The beach pool is large and has daily activities like aerobics, volleyball, water yoga, and black jack. The ocean is gorgeous. The sand is so soft, it's like powdered sugar. There are lounge chairs around the pool and on the beach. The ocean is swimmable and get get some bigger waves at times. The restaurants are all delicious, especially Bocelli. There is a sports bar with nightly entertainment. Fun for a five night stay.

Hot tub, poppin bubbly! In the room.

I cannot recommend this hotel more highly. It's the best experience I've ever had at an all…read moreinclusive hotel. At the end of my stay, I did not want to leave. Sometimes all inclusive hotels can feel gimmicky, like being on a cruise ship or something. This was not that at all. This was a high end experience from start to finish. The hotel service and facilities are impeccable. I was blown away by the care they take to tend to each guest. I was only there for a few days and people took the effort to learn my name and my personal preferences. To start, the room was incredible. I stayed in a suite and it had a juccuzi right inside the room and an ocean view with a hammock. The room also came with a mini bar which was restocked daily (although you could also call and request anything at any time). Every day they had a different schedule of activities for guests with quality entertainment (not tacky acts). They had all all white party with a circus one day which was fun, a foam party, bull riding and more. The food deserves its own review. It exceed my expectations by a lot. They had several food options to choose from, including an Asian restaurant, a Mediterranean restaurant, a mexican restaurant a cafe and a global buffet. The restaurants were all open extended hours until 10 or 10:30 so there were always food options available. The global buffet did different themed dinners every night. Of the restaurants, I liked all but I'd say the Mediterranean was the most high quality. The preparation and taste was on par with any top NYC restaurant. The octopus dish was especially memorable. Second favorite was probably the Mexican restaurant. They have a chef from Oaxaca who makes a great mole. At each restaurant, the managers always made an effort to stop by my table to make sure I had what I needed. The employees genuinely care about serving you and they do it gladly. Sometimes you go to places where the employees are disgruntled or have a bad attitude. Not the case here at all. Everyone seemed generally happy and in a good mood. It felt like most of the people here were celebrating something, whether a bachelorette party or birthday, but it didn't feel overall raucous or anything. They had a silent disco one night and I think that also helped with any potential late night noise issues. I was really impressed with how well curated the schedule of activities was. Additionally, the hotel was very clean. When I first got in, people were mopping. They're constantly changing pool towels that are left out. Everything was spotless. The sheets were crisp and white. My room was changed to my liking. No complaints. One of the better places I've stayed. I would definitely come back in a heart beat. I loved it here!

Of course. I only added Eddie into the service section and left everything else the same…read more I have gone back and forth on writing this review because there are so many things this resort does well, but overall my experience did not quite match the expectations I had from previous Hyatt stays. This was not my first visit to Hyatt Zilara Cancun and it was actually my amazing experience here in 2019 that started my loyalty to Hyatt. I am currently a World of Hyatt Discoverist member, and after my first visit to Zilara, we loved the Hyatt experience so much that we chose Hyatt Ziva for our vow renewal in 2022. Because of that, returning to Zilara was something I had looked forward to for years. First, the staff at this resort deserves so much recognition. My concerns are not a reflection of the employees because the service was consistently excellent throughout our stay. From before we even arrived to our final day, everyone we interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely wanted guests to have a great experience. Before our trip, Eddie reached out as our concierge and was extremely helpful in making sure we were prepared for our stay. He helped coordinate our spa services ahead of time and assisted us with securing a late checkout, which made our trip much smoother and more relaxing. At check-in, Luis helped us on the World of Hyatt side and was wonderful. He explained the changes and additions to the resort, helped us understand reservations, and made sure we had the information we needed. Throughout the resort, the service remained consistent. Even when I had a meal I didn't enjoy, a staff member at the teppanyaki restaurant was genuinely concerned, offered alternatives, and wanted to make it right. That level of care stood out. Our room was excellent. We stayed on the fifth floor in a corner room and it was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The bed was fantastic, and I loved the pillows so much I am actually trying to find out what kind they are so I can buy them for home. The bathroom was great, especially the mirror with multiple lighting options. The shower had great water pressure and plenty of hot water, which I always appreciate. The only thing I personally missed was having a bathtub, but overall I had no complaints about the room. The resort itself is beautiful and extremely clean. The pool area is relaxing with comfortable chairs, and it was never difficult to find a place to sit. The atmosphere is definitely more quiet and relaxing rather than a party environment, which can be a positive depending on the type of trip you want. The beach was well maintained, especially considering the seaweed situation during our visit. The staff worked hard to keep it cleaned up, and the things outside of the resort's control, like weather and ocean conditions, did not impact my opinion. The spa was absolutely phenomenal and I wrote a separate review specifically for that experience because it deserves its own recognition. The gym was also impressive for a resort gym. There was plenty of equipment, treadmills, a stretching/yoga space, and even a Pilates studio. I was hoping to participate in Pilates, but the class filled up quickly. I thought the fitness offerings were a nice addition. Where this stay fell short for me was the food. At an all-inclusive resort, the food experience is such a huge part of the overall value because you are eating every meal on property. When we visited in 2019, one of our favorite memories was eating at Pelicanos by the pool, so we were excited to return there first. We knew things had changed since our last visit, but unfortunately the quality and options did not feel the same. We tried several restaurants, and while the service was always great, the food itself was disappointing. The Italian restaurant felt very bland overall, although the bread service and tiramisu were enjoyable. The cacio e pepe and pasta dishes did not meet expectations. The teppanyaki experience also was not what I expected. I was hoping for more of a traditional hibachi-style experience, and the meat quality was disappointing. The buffet was fine, especially breakfast, but nothing really stood out. Room service was quick and the staff was friendly, but again the food itself was not something we loved. My favorite treat on property ended up being the ice cream at the coffee shop. The biggest thing I missed was having easy poolside food options. When I'm at an all-inclusive, I love being able to relax by the pool and grab things like quesadillas, ceviche, or small bites without stopping the pool day. The lack of that type of experience was probably my biggest disappointment. Drinks and pool service were great, and the staff did a wonderful job checking on guests. I personally don't drink alcohol, but it was clear they were attentive with beverages. Entertainment was limited compared to some other all-inclusive resorts. There were some activities and a few performances, but not the larger

I came with a ladies group at Spring Break and we upgraded to the Diamond Club extra, which included a private pool area, drinks on the rooftop, a separate area at the beach, and a tiny lounge area with premium drinks. We did not think it was worth the extra money because we enjoyed hanging out at the noisy activity pool and rarely went to the itsy bitsy lounge. Pros: *Food is good with a wide variety in buffet---gorgeous 2nd floor area with a view *Room was nice and the view from the ocean front is unreal *Arianny at the Diamond Club beach area was the best server ever! She was friendly, very attentive, and came by so often our drinks never were empty. We visited in mid December, and found everything to be truly great. We went in with relatively low expectations about crowds, food, updates around the hotel, etc. The building/grounds: it's no 5 star luxury hotel, but it is well kept, clean, and spacious enough to accommodate your needs. For our family, we really loved that the layout is pretty condensed. Within a couple of minutes, you can easily walk from the kids' pool to the beach. This made it so easy to move from spot to spot throughout the day without crazy transitions. (Really the only challenge was that I didn't get a map or see a posted one, but it wasn't too hard to find things or just ask for help) The activities: the two pools, pirate ship themed water slides, and two larger slides (for ages 5-12 only) and the beach were all beautiful and enough to entertain our crew. They regularly have workouts going on, sand volleyball games, pool games, etc. There are plenty of opportunities to move and interact with other guests if you want to. The food/drink scene: we tried all but one of the restaurants for dinner (sorry casa de Rosa , the one night we tried to get in we waited too late and it was too full for a table of 6). Previous reviews raved about Viaggi's for Italian cuisine, so we headed there first. It was a very nice, upscale vibe, but we felt a little out of place with 3 tiny babes at the table here. We really loved the evening views at "at sunset", but our true fave was Azul: you've gotta try the teriyaki salmon. I ordered it three nights in a row . The room service was a great addition for days when we had to hang out for nap times, but we didn't love the food we received unfortunately. For breakfast, I highly recommend Ventanas (amazing views, indoor and outdoor seating, vast buffet and so quick!) Lunch favorite was the poolside grill for sure! They also had great tacos right on the beach. All the bars had quick service and friendly bartenders as well! We don't drink much so I don't have much to report there. Coffee drinkers -- you won't get a craft coffee here, but they serve Britt coffee and the staff is super hardworking. They'll accommodate you! Other noteworthy things: we had ZERO problems w crowds, We easily found chairs at the pool and at the beach, generally always had access to shade if we wanted it, and other than one night we were able to get a table anywhere we wanted without any issues. Our maid did a great job keeping up with our room, and generally was able to fulfill our special requests (for additional water bottles, refilling facial tissues, etc) The staff: truly the only name I remember at this point is Juan Carlos... Because he is a waiter at Azul, where we ate three nights in a row part of the reason we kept coming back, other than the truly top notch teriyaki salmon, was because he was so great at providing an experience for our family. The first night we came, we were a group of 9, and he immediately welcomed us as family and asked us a couple of questions about our dietary preferences and then promptly brought so.many.appetizers and fan favorite drinks without our asking. It was a treat! He was friendly and upbeat and the most memorable staff member we interacted with. We really had a great week, and I'm so grateful we got to come and be spoiled by the amazing staff, and breathe in the gorgeous views and silky soft white sand.

My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and were looking forward to a relaxing vacation. We arrived early, 7:30AM and our private transportation picked us up after about 15-20 minutes after arriving. After a quick drive to the resort, we checked in. No welcome towel service nor welcome drink, but we received a warm neck wrap. Unfortunately, our room wasn't ready until 11:30AM, so we walked around to explore the property and have breakfast. We received a text message from the lobby that our room was ready and to return to the front desk. We were told our room number and that our luggage would be delivered shortly. The room had a beautiful view of the ocean, clean, stocked with snacks and drinks ,and over all nice. We unpacked ourselves and headed to the pool. While we were on the way, we met our butler who's desk is located in the hallway of the elevators. At that time we were connected to a WhatsApp group text. Then we returned to our room with our butler, who reviewed the amenities and light switches in our room. We ate at all the restaurants. We went to Blanc and Terraza for breakfast and our 2 favorite restaurants for dinner were Bella and Yama. Unfortunately, on a few occasions, Terraza and Yama served us cold food, as if they were sitting out too long. We tried scheduling room service breakfast and they were behind in schedule 30-40 minutes. We were underwhelmed as the room service menu as it wasn't as grand as the other palace resorts; we were looking forward to the chocolate cake; which wasn't available. The K'akau, coffee shop was the best to relieve our chocolate cravings. The main pool lounge chairs were always taken, so get there early. We relaxed at all the pools and depending on the day had our favorite. The beach is beautiful and the lifeguard at the tower was always welcoming and helpful to get us lounge chairs. The spa services and hydrotherapy were wonderful, but we were disappointed that the men and women were separated in the pool and jacuzzi areas. We ran into difficulties with our dinner and spa bookings. We made prior arrangements with our pre-concierge, but when we wanted to change our schedule, the on site concierge didn't have access to canceling them. We were told to email our pre-concierge to ask her to delete them from the system. Our pre-concierge also didn't confirm our restaurant bookings for certain days and so we had to ask our Butler if they were booked. What was the most disappointing was the evening entertainment. We were looking forward to certain shows/performances and then a few hours before the scheduled time, seeing the entertainment was removed and replaced with something mundane. We've been to Sun Palace, another adult only resort, down the road and after our experience at Le Blanc, we actually prefer Sun Palace over Le Blanc. From our experience.. Le Blanc is a great place if you enjoy the spa, peace and quiet, and want to just chill and lounge. But if you want a little more excitement, fun, music, and meet people and have great conversations, Sun Palace is the place. Our Butler, Rene on the 3rd floor was awesome. He made our anniversary special. Safety: We felt safe. When we arrived at the resort after walking down the hotel zone, security always checked us in. When we arrived via taxi or uber, they did the same thing. If you walked out to the beach, you have to scan your bracelet to exit the gate and also scan it the when you enter back onto the resort property. Elevators: There are 3 elevators and during our stay, 1 was always out of order. One day, 2 elevators were out of order. Luckily, we were only on the 3rd floor, so we often took the stairs. The stairwell does need more lighting, it is dark, so watch your step.

We arrived late and asked for bottled water, and were told to just drink the sink water... in Mexico. That alone set the tone. I also repeatedly emailed our concierge for assistance and received no response whatsoever. Our room smelled like mold, and the sheets were damp. Housekeeping replaced them, but the odor and overall condition never improved. Not what you expect at this level. Then it got worse. We had two rooms, one at this hotel and one at a neighboring hotel where a large group of our family was staying. That other hotel requires wristbands, which we had, so security here assumed we didn't belong, even though we had rooms at this property. At the pool, they approached us publicly and repeatedly questioned us, over and over, in front of everyone. No attempt to verify privately, no discretion, just standing over us and making a scene. It was humiliating. Then it happened again. While checking out, we crossed back onto this property to retrieve our luggage that they were holding. Security stopped us again and treated us like we were doing something wrong, only to confirm, once again, that we were legitimate guests. Two separate incidents. Same behavior. The level of aggression and lack of professionalism from security is completely out of control. This is not how paying guests should ever be treated. This wasn't just a misunderstanding, it was a failure in how guests are handled, and it happened more than once. We will never stay here again.

The staff was very friendly and tried to help with our request. The room was a junior suite with an ocean view. It was comfortable and our room attendant did a great job. The king bed was two beds pushed together, but with some magic by the wife we made it more like one and were very comfortable. You can get a single king bed in some of the rooms. We were there with friends and didn't want be separated so we stayed with that configuration. I would try and get a room on the west wing. It actually looks to the east and you don't get the extreme heat in the late afternoon that the east wing does. We ate at all of the restaurants and our favs were the Black and White Steak house and Krystal. The Italian restaurant off of the lobby was good for a quick slice of pizza at lunch time. The buffet is like it is on a cruise ship and was good for most of our breakfast seatings. After a few days gets a little old. The staff was super friendly and hard workers. There is a 24 hour refreshment spot, but the food is only so so. Just for a quick sandwich or fruit. They do have a beer tap and a few selections of liquor available there for self service as well. The pool and beach area had plenty of chairs and umbrellas. If you don't see any available just ask and they will make it happen if possible. My complaint about the pool would be they close at 7:00. One small pool stay open until 8:00. Way too early for an adult only. I suggest if you want to do excursions to go straight across the street to one of the stands. If you know what you want to do they are a much better deal, but be certain you know where you want to go. make sure and get transportation included in your excursion. Also in that area there is the Bamboo Spa. You can get a massage for less than half at the resort spa. They did a very good job and were very professional. Not a "happy endings" type of place. Tell them you will do the massage if they throw in the fish foot treatment. Sounds weird but it was pretty nice. This is all inclusive for food and drink. The drinks are pretty light and when you ask for something other than the house liquor I'm pretty sure it didn't happen all the time. The best is to ask for the drink with a shot on the side, or better yet go to the bar yourself and watch them make the drink. It was definitely better and i was assured to get the name brand. Over all I would recommend this RIU.

The pool area, cabanas, and buffet stations were immaculate . Despite the rain, we had a fabulous time. One star deduction for not being prepared for my food allergies which the catering/ banquet staff was aware of for more than three weeks. Thankfully, the staffed hurried to find two items that I could eat. They covered for the below par communication and made it work for me to have a chicken breast and two slices of steak which were both cooked properly and were flavorful. Most importantly, the wedding couple was not impacted. They had a wonderful time.
