Good enough tattoo artists but any talent there is taken away by the poor attitudes of the young staff there (both tattoo artists and receptionist 'christie') I regretted going there and getting my tattoo done. The Rude environment made me anxious and distracted me on my design as I wanted to get it over with as soon as possible. I agreed to something I wasn't 100% happy with but felt I couldn't voice it. Got my 4th tattoo done here. This is the 4th parlor I use and if I ever get my 5th this is where I'll come. Hygienic like you wouldn't believe. They disinfect the chair and then wrap it for each customer. Open the instruments in front of you like they should. Jorge was the artist. He was friendly, attentive, and really laid back. Felt like I'd known him for years. He seemed to really care about us which is the first time I experience that from a tattoo artist. I went here based on the internet reviews on December 17 to get a tattoo as my birthday present to myself, Natalie was the person available at that time, she wasn't the friendliness person but she wasn't rude, after I explained to her what I want (a tiny tiny heart tattoo in my inside ankle) she informed me the store have a minimum charge of $60, I agreed since I was already there an I was super excited to get my new tattoo but I knew it was to much money for what I want, the process was super fast and not very painful, she explained to me the aftercare and gave me a patch to put on after, she also told me that I must likely will be needing a touch up and it will be free of charge, I must said that I wasn't in love with the way of my tattoo came up, the process of healing was perfect but in deep I need the touch up. I went back to the Parlour asking for her to schedule the touch up but I was told by the guy that greeted me that she no longer works there I explained to him what was going on and he said if i didn't mind he will be doing the touch for me I asked his name and he said Dave at that point, he proceed to prepare everything and ask me to lay down I explained to him that the borders of the tattoo were too thin and I want it thicker he said no problem. He was fast but careful I must said for some reason I felt more confident on him, he seemed very experienced at his job, the tattoo came out way better and I am happier with the results that I was the first time. My advise please do your research of the artist that you want to use before heading to get your tattoo. I must add that the Parlour is nice and clean. read more

Chance brought me to Rafael Medina for sure! It was certainly destiny! So I got my anklet tattoo in November of 2019. I never got a chance to get it retouched because of the Pandemic and many businesses were closed as a result. Unfortunately, the tattoo parlor I had visited the first time was one of those businesses with my artist no where to be found. I was determined to finally get my tattoo retouched, as well as possibly getting another tattoo. I googled my area for some suggestionson tattoo shops and it comes up with Sunset Tattoo Parlour. I arrived and immediately was greeting in a warm, friendly manner by Rafael. I explained to him my situation and he was very happy to assist me with the retouching of my ankle tattoo and because I felt so comfortable immediately with Rafael, I decided on definitely getting another tattoo, this time on my upper back at the base of my neck. Rafael was very helpful in showing me different designs and giving his professional opinion on which one he thought would suit me best. He was extremely patient (I was pretty jumpy due to the extreme pain while he was retouching my ankle). Thanks to Rafael, I was able to keep it together and managed to get through it. I simply wanted black text, but I saw that all of the artists work was beautiful, so I knew they'd do a great job. I walked in the day of my appt, and I loved the atmosphere; it was clean, fun, and bright. I'm from Connecticut and got a tattoo by Dave Cardona last year and again this year. I'm amazed with the work he does. I came in with an idea and he took the time to draw it on my arm and it came out awesome!! Not only did he blend a existing tattoo in the design but covered up one that I no longer wanted.His line work,shading and detail is absolutely amazing.
