Honestly, that part was understandable, and we were prepared for a wait. We had a nice booth for five and ordered table fries, a few shakes, and five burgers. The fries were still excellent, and the shakes were great. Unfortunately, the burgers and service did not live up to the previous visit. My burger tasted more like stewed meat than seared beef, almost as if it had been sitting for a while. It was overcooked and under-seasoned. Our server was pleasant enough, but several sides, condiments, and modifiers were forgotten. Waters were never refilled, the table was not cleared, and a salad that had been misordered was not removed from the bill. I understand it was a busy night, but at around $40 per person for food at a burger place, I expected more consistency. I'll give The Field another try the next time I'm in town because our first experience was so good, but this visit was a letdown.

Veggies were very overcooked, whimpy not firm or semi firm. No wonder there was a noticeable drop in the number of people here for lunch after church on a Sunday. I can no longer highly recommend this establishment. It's gone from very good or great to YUCK in the 10 months I was deployed. Otherwise you're just looking at a gravel parking lot. It was a nice drive and a nice day but I wouldn't go out of my way to go back.
