They perform routine maintenance carefully, have been very sharp at locating particular issues and have been fairly priced (keep in mind this is not a discount repair shop, if such a thing actually exists in this universe). Took our car to Sunshine for a simple tire repair and oil change because it was convenient. Oil change was $110 plus tax this time, magically $20 less than the time before. Also got a "Safety Inspection" sheet that said that my brakes, filters, and battery were bad and needed replacement. The next day, I dropped off the car at my mechanic's (a garage with a 5-star Yelp rating) to have him check out the car and do the repairs. He checked out the car and then called me to come and get it. He sent me on my way with no charge for the inspection. Decorum prevents me from writing what he said about Sunshine. read more

Jen at the front desk will get you in for prompt service and will communicate with you during the entire repair process. The mechanical service is professional and meticulous. Not impressed. They didn't give an initial quote to begin with. The repair was performed and they never even test-drove the vehicle to insure the repair was performed completely. It was not. I had to bring it back after going a mile down the road. In the end the repair was completed but it was much more expensive than I was quoted by several other local establishments and they never checked their work. Get an oil change here. Greetings to all you great "Yelpers!" I haven't posted for a while. I know, I know, that is not good, nor is it me! I have once again come out of my shell, urged to do so by the great services of "SUNSHINE CAR REPAIR" in Litchfield. I will get to the cream of the matter; they always accommodate me when emergencies with my wheels threaten my being stranded. They are very professional! SUNSHINE, as I call them, has done extensive required work on my classic Mercedes Benz as well. Their garage work area is impeccably clean! and how many garages do you know of that has fresh cut flowers delivered every day to their lounge waiting area?!! This is a first to me, and although the flowers don't get installed on the car, they do get installed in ones mental message that says they are a cut above all the competition in every way! In conclusion, Andy and his staff of very well trained individuals are truly worthy of my 5 golden wrench awards! read more

Don't believe 'demand force' reviews! Marketing! Sunshine charges for problems they create so they kept running up the bill. They fixed the starter which was the only problem and one I diagnosed myself. $800 later they returned my car with other problems which they created. The engine light wasn't on when I brought it in but it was on when they gave it back. Also my transmission would not shift out of 3rd which was not a problem when I brought it in. Of course they wanted to continue to "repair" my car. My regular mechanic whom I trust fixed it all for $100. I should have paid to tow it the 100 miles to my mechanic. Instead I got stuck in Litchfield and got shafted. Places like Sunshine are why mechanics have bad reps! Sorry Andy. read more
