We go here often, most of the time it's great. But every time we go and the older blonde is making drinks they are awful; burnt milk, over pulled shots, chai that taste like plain milk; these are all things we encounter when she is making them and it's every time. If anyone else is working highly recommend as the drinks have been great. Truly a hit or miss spot depending on who is making your drink. So good luck! read more

Cool little spot, came as a walk-up. It's a drive-through and walk-up ONLY, with one bench if someone did want to sit outside. But not really a place you just hang out. Payton was VERY friendly and helpful, and got my coffee and a banana chocolate loaf, tasty! Now, hear me out. This is a personal taste review, not necessarily reflecting the taste of many others. I was not a huge fan of the coffee. The flavor was very Starbucks-esque, which tends to have a more harsh flavor. I tend to like the beans roasted to a more nutty flavor, these tasted a bit more on the burnt side. That being said, it wasn't bad. just not my favorite. Still giving it 4 stars because of the service, coffee was decent and overall a good experience. read more

Solid coffee! Everyone working here who I have encountered has been really nice and quick to make my drink. The 8oz mochas are solid and have a nice flavor to them. Not super sweet. The drive thru moves pretty quickly in the mornings. Definitely stop by if you need a caffeine boost! read more

While visiting my daughter for a long weekend we stopped for local coffee 2-3 times a day. For me, the fun was in all of the many tiny drive through coffee shops located, seemingly everywhere. My favorite, white hot mocha was what I ordered everywhere. But Sunshine Espresso stood out far above the rest. Great customer service. Faster than most other drive ups and the taste was amazing. Service at sunshine is 10/10. Every time I've visited the baristas have been so friendly and I'd keep coming here for that reason alone. The drip coffee is also great. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because my breakfast sandwich (which is from another local place) was microwaved and I really don't like what that does to the integrity of bread/bagels. Would also love if the whipped cream was real- as it seems like it's made with oil, like cool whip. Other than those suggestions I really do love this place and the workers especially :) read more

This is my go to spot. I don't drink much coffee, but their white chocolate mocha is by far the best one I have ever had. They use powder instead of liquid syrup so it tastes a lot better to me. They are always friendly and asking about how my day is going. And when they have egg nog doing the holidays that is another must try. And I have also tried their creamsicle which is really bomb as well. I would definitely recommend trying this place. read more

Every time we go, no matter which person is tending, the baristas have all been super sweet and friendly. Though we like the coffee, the customer service is so uplifting and a big reason we go. No matter what time of day, we always drive away in a better mood. We're a bit older than most of the employees, but they still find ways to connect to our interests and often offer our doggie a treat! I like all their coffees. Their foods are a hit or miss for me, but I'm picky, even so there are still plenty of yummy desserty options for me to enjoy with my caffeine. :) read more

I just moved up to Shoreline from Auburn so I've been on the hunt for a new go to stand. After reading all the reviews here I was excited thinking this would be it! I went this morning Saturday 10/10 at about 10am. Thr first thing I noticed was the lack of any sort of menu for customers to get an idea of pricing or sizes or even drinks offered here which was crazy to me. So I asked for a 16oz iced white chocolate mocha, pretty straight forward. I was a little shocked it was $5.50 which isn't asinine by any means but definitely more than I was expecting from a small local stand like this. I would have been prepared if there had been a menu to look at before ordering. Anyway, I asked if it's made with powder or sauce when i ordered and was happy that she told me powder. But when I got my drink the barista didnt take the time to stir all the powder in with the shots before adding ice and milk so i was left with a layer of grainy powder on the bottom of my cup sucking it up with every drink and basically having to chew it before swallowing. Plus, the coffee had a watered down consistency as if it was made from skim milk or the shots weren't pulling correctly or both, I'm not sure. But it doesn't have the creamy consistency I expect from an espresso drink. The best part is the whipped cream on top lol and thats just sad to me. On the upside, your baristas were definitely friendly and offered to add me to your rewards system which would be great for me if I planned to come back again but unfortunately I'm going to be back on the hunt for a quality coffee stand here in North City. read more

Upgrading to five stars. They really are the friendliest baristas in this whole burb. ------------ On gym mornings, I attribute at least three extra treadmill/orbital miles to my daily 5:45 am doppios (that, and inferior pop music with a high beats-per-minute count). They have a little sign saying, "Support your neighborhood clothed baristas," so I do. This is made easier because they're all genuinely nice people. One thing I have learned over the years is that if a person is good-humored at 5:45am, well, they're better people than me. I've been pretty satisfied with their coffee, but had mixed results with their breakfast sandwiches. On one visit, two of the three were cold in the middle, which is a rude discovery for an egg and sausage product. I did call them to let them know they needed to heat them for a few extra seconds and the girl I spoke with apologized and said the other girl might have put two in at once, which causes that problem. Meanwhile, I'll stick with the coffee. On certain mornings, before certain (civilized) hours, they give you a third shot for free. Apoplexy, shmapoplexy...if it's free, I'll take it! Those are usually REALLY good treadmill days. read more

We stopped there today after getting breakfast at Leena's. The two car order at first window, pick up at second system kind of reminded me of McDonald's and I sort of assumed that there would be no connection with the barista. I was so wrong. The girl who took our order was totally friendly, especially after we commented on the sign on her tip jar that said "Contribute to the Clothed Baristas Fund. No pasties, Just Pastries" which I totally adored as I own a clothed stand and hate the jerks who keep asking my 19 year old baristas to flash them...but I digress. I ordered my usual 24 oz iced americano w/SF Vanilla and an inch of soy and I have to say it was really good. I believe they may use French vanilla as the default vanilla flavor but that's okay with me. I will definitely be back when next in that area. read more

I was quite disappointed and somewhat satisfied depending on the product (hence two rather than one star). I ordered the following 24oz Mocha - I was informed that Hershey's is the standard chocolate but that dark chocolate is available. I requested this - but I do not think that got passed into the product. The Hemp Mocha I had bore no resemblance to a Mocha - nearly no chocolate taste... The hemp milk seemed to taste a little weird - and I wondered how fresh it was.. I threw this out. 32oz Cold Mocha - This tasted reasonable good - though the chocolate was was somewhat light - I am uncertain whether the dark was used or not. 12oz Americano - I always check a stand's Americano - because the taste is not hidden under the sugar. This was decent, a little bland and watery feeling, but not bitter at least. I ended up throwing this into the Cold Mocha. Would I go back? Perhaps to see if I had an unusual experience - but I would communicate my issues during the ordering process to avoid a repeat. read more

I absolutely love these ladies. They are so friendly. I love the convenience of having them so close to me. I can walk up or do the drive through if I'm going to work. Tiffany is phenomenal and so sweet! She is one of the only ladies who gets my coffee just right. Another gal did a great job as well but I didn't catch her name. OH and they have muffins, sounds silly but I love muffins with my coffee. Their stamp card rewards are so great, I've already earned a free coffee! I used to go to Gourmet Latte frequently, and loved it. But, I moved to Shoreline and had to find something closer. Sunshine is walking-distance from my apartment, so I started to go there. I am still quite fond of Gourmet, but Sunshine is in my top favorites. The girls are extremely friendly and courteous. The coffee is decent. I rarely get coffee-- my go-to usually is a red bull Italian soda. They always make it really well and never assume if I want cream, etc. They always ask and clarify. The stand itself is nice looking. It is on a bit of a slant, so it can be a bit nerve-racking when you're behind someone and the roll back a bit to go forward to the window. I would say if you're in North City and need a quick drink, Sunshine Espresso is a great stop. read more

Really good coffee. I stopped by on my way to work and got a iced vanilla soy latte. Their computers were down so they ended up giving me the coffee for free, which was extremely nice of them. Their location is super convenient and they are certainly better (and less expensive) than Starbucks. read more
