Ate here today for the first time, with my wife. I love little "greasy spoons" like this and had heard about Sunshine, but just hadn't gotten around to going, until today. Well, we'll be back. Often. Had the "Hog," pork roll, egg and cheese and potatoes (shredded hash brown style) on a hard roll, with, of course, salt, pepper, and ketchup. It was awesome. My wife had the turkey club and I think it's the first time she ever finished a turkey club. The bacon was perfect, the turkey was high quality and the rest was perfect. We split her fries and the fries were great. I've stopped in here frequently for lunch and breakfast. Amazing pancakes with fresh fruit, generously sized omelettes and great coffee (free refills!). It's just a little place and you wouldn't go there for ambiance, but their food is solid and very decent prices. Ok, half of it sucked - fries and eggs were alright but the french toast was orange and crusted in black crap, probably from their grill - and the pork roll was way undercooked. I had ordered from here once before for lunch and it wasn't good but the place was new so I thought by now - especially with decent reviews, I'd be happy but nope - thumbs down for me. I came across Sunshine Grill looking for food for delivery and they were closed so I just had to come check it out. All of the photos looked great. We were greeted immediately when we walked in. I ordered the Le Pew French Toast sand. It had turkey bacon, egg over medium with cheese in between two French toast. They give you butter and syrup on the side. You have a choice of meat and egg and that was my preference. My boyfriend had an egg white omelette which comes with your choice of toast and home fries. Every thing was made to order and it was sooooo good. My egg was prepared perfectly just like I like it. I tasted some of my boyfriends home fries and they were on point. I personally would've added onions and peppers but he didn't ask for that. Service was great! We felt extremely comfortable and everyone was super helpful although we weren't in need of much. We will be returning again and again as of now. There are so many other food choices that we are eager to try. Two thumbs up!! read more

Definitely the best spot for hearty Breakfast or Lunch in all of North, Mid, or South Jersey. Portions are huge, coffee is good and Sandwiches are awesome. My first visit I met Lynda who chatted with me about the local area and what not making me feel like family and giving me time to finish my breakfast which I thought I had no chance when I saw how big the servings were! We had high hopes about this place before ordering. The menu looked very appealing, with decent options. My coworker ordered the turkey club with a side of chili fries. The one that I ordered was the fat Filipino, that's supposed to contain Philly cheesesteak, crispy chicken fingers, gyro meat, french fries, tzatziki sauce, lettuce and tomato. I don't like tomatoes so I held up tomato. I thought that the order would have been quick I understand that it's close to lunchtime when we ordered so understandably about 45 minutes is pretty reasonable. The bacon on the turkey clubbed was very undercooked and my fat sandwich was more fries than anything else, so they literally should have described it as a french fry sandwich with some additional meat. I can't speak for my friend who ordered the turkey club, but as for the fat sandwich that I ordered, it was very plain, with little taste to it. The woman the phone did ask us if it was our first time ordering, as it was. You would think that they would take a little bit more consideration into placing together in order especially being a first-time Patron. The turkey club was supposed to come with a drink, that they did not bring. The price of seemed pretty reasonable at the time, but for what we got, it doesn't seem like that anymore. read more

Ordered delivery from here for a late lunch at work. I put the order in online and 5 minutes later I receive a call from a women at Sunshine Grill telling me that I put in the wrong address and didn't specify enough with where my job was located at. She then asked me if I would go outside when the delivery guy came to my job to get my food, and I replied with obviously, no I'm unable to becuase I am at work and cannot leave my station. She then caught an attitude telling me that the guy will just have to try his best then and find a parking spot, even though it's a Thursday afternoon at Menlo Park mall. An HOUR AND FORTY FIVE MINUTES after I received that call, my food finally arrived even though this place is less than 5 minutes from my job. It was an older gentleman as my delivery man. I was very polite and excited to finally see my food, so I thanked him and such. Then he just stands there and drops my food down on the counter infront of me, gives a big huff and puff, and says how he's been walking all day long. Baffled by his rudeness, I stood in shock as he walked away. I then decided to open my food. The rice pudding I ordered was grossly warm and had a disgusting taste to the point where I couldnt eat it anymore. I then went to my actual meal, mozzarella sticks and a bacon double cheese burger. The mozzarella sticks were okay, but extremely soggy and the sauce that went with them was cold and too thin to be actual marinara sauce. After I ate one or two of those, I went to my burger. My burger bun was disgustingly soggy, to the point where it was turning to mush in my hands. The burger was flavorless and entirely grease. The bacon wasn't crispy at all and didnt even taste that well either. I will NEVER order from sunshine grill again. I have been to the Sunshine Grill only once, but I will always remember it fondly. I was driving and had only had a cup of coffee in the morning. I was hungry and saw the Sunshine Grill so I parked the car and went in for breakfast. The restaurant was very clean and everyone was welcoming and friendly. More to the point, I had on of the best wraps I have ever tasted. It was eggs feta cheese and spinach on a whole wheat wrap. the serving was generous, the eggs cooked to perfection, meaning moist but not drippy, and the flavors wonderful. If I lived nearer i would go all the time. I do plan, however, to stop by for one of their burgers in the future! read more

We found this place by accident on the way back from Cutting down our Christmas tree and we're so happy we did! The staff was all amazing (special shout-out to Linda) with two grown-ups and three kids we all found something delicious and different on the menu. My son said it was " the best meal I've ever eaten!l granted he's 7 but still we were all happy. my husband (who is much older than 7) said his burger was one of the best he's had in a long time too. Ordering online is a NIGHTMARE! Anyone who orders the Sunshine Platter online (even though you should never give your money to this place) make sure you specify that you actually want the coffee and how you like it even though no where on the website indicates that that's what you're supposed to do or else won't send you any coffee whatsoever or give you a refund for it. I ordered a 5.99 meal that was supposed to include 2 eggs, home fries, toast, and coffee. I literally didn't get half of the order. Never go here or order online. Customer service is horrendous, the food that I did receive wasn't fully cooked and not how I ordered it, and they don't deserve your money. I placed a phone call in for pick up, first the online menu only showed the combos, about ten to choose from, when I asked the lady who answer the phone if they had a full menu her response was "okay" to which I ordered 2 regular burgers with tomato lettuce and onion, and a double cheeseburger with the same with a total of $23 and change. When I went to go pick up the order they only had two burgers ready. They quickly made the third burger which was great, and charged me an additional $9 which was fine, but on their website, if you order anything over $30 there is a coupon for $5 off, when the new total was over $30 I asked can I use the coupon to which the lady said " oh that's the new website, it should be up and running" and walked away. All the while new customers came in, without masks, when asked if they had masks they laughed it off and hung out inside anyway. All in all a pretty terrible service, poor communication and lack of basic business skills. On a high note the burgers were really good. I wouldn't recommend and will not be back again. read more

The quesadilla was also nicely sized, however, it was lacking in avocado and the turkey was all in one spot. Considering I paid for *turkey*, *avocado* and egg, I would think I get all 3, but it felt like the entire quesadilla was filled with a giant egg. This is a small cozy diner with friendly service. It offers fresh and simple fare. My picky 5-year-old tasted my shredded hash browns and we ended up getting him his own side. He also ate half my yummy Italian omelette with mushrooms. He has refused to eat these foods at other diners and generally will not eat them ever. Upon arrival, the SAUSAGE egg and cheese sandwiches I ordered were BOTH missing the sausage and were served on un-toasted/stale bread. The cheese fries had an unmelted piece of cheese that barely covered the fries. The side order of home-style potatoes that came with my meal were BURNT. I felt as if this was a joke, I couldn't believe this food was served and delivered to me like this! I called the store because this was not right what so ever.
