Nir the owner came out and pitched me a major $7K renovation to the gutters on my old home, including gutter glove screening to keep leaves and branches out. He was very friendly and nice during the sales pitch, but when the first season's rains came I had numerous spots that were leaking water all over the place, one of which had water running into my basement. I called and emailed many many times and had trouble getting any response at all much less getting someone to come fix it and that the repair would be under warranty. After 3 months of complaining, near the end of the rainy season, they said they would send someone. I took a day off work and waited all day. They were a no show and no call. More calling and emailing and finally someone came. They said the initial installation was clearly poorly done and fixed it, and then they sent me a bill even though they said it was under warranty. And now I am back in the endless loop of trying to fight them about the bill. I have never seen or heard from Nir since the sales call. I STRONGLY ADVISE AGAINST DOING BUSINESS WITH THEM. We had a great experience working with Sunshine Gutters. All the way from the very beginning, they were professional, reliable, knowledgeable, communicative / responsive and rather lovely to work with. We have an old Victorian home that's quirky (and tall!) and they did an excellent job replacing our extremely old gutters while being careful with our fragile cement composite tile siding. Their experienced team worked to make the down spouts function well and look like they belong, too. We got multiple quotes and they were also competitively priced for our rather big job. I hired this company to replace some old gutters based on some apparently inaccurate Yelp reviews and was disappointed. The workmanship is poor and I wish they would have discussed their ability to complete the job correctly before starting. After the installation began I noticed numerous large gaps and mismatched corners to the point where I asked the installers why it looked so bad, they acknowledged it, took it all down, and started over. What if I wasn't there to ask? Yikes! The installers seemed to do their best to address my concerns and I became somewhat satisfied. After installation I spent two long days doing the finish work only to wake up to inches of standing water in every gutter! Isn't that the point?! Fast forward to today, the problems have been remedied to a barely tolerable quality. If you do use them test the gutters with water before they leave. read more

We had a great experience with Sunshine Gutters after we got taken for a ride by another gutter outfit. During the winter storms, our gutters failed and were leaking in front of the garage door and the back patio door. We scheduled a gutter company to come out and fix our gutters and they didn't show up both times. A friend recommended Sunshine Gutters and Nir came the very same day to inspect our gutters IN THE RAIN and gave us a quote on the spot. Read the fine print. They're out to nickel and dime you. I had a great bid experience but then found my installation did not include gutter guards. The contract I signed included pictures of gutters with gutter guards and my sales rep told me they were included. The gutter guards were not offered as an upgrade or in any way suggested that they were separate and at additional cost. Repeated emails to resolve the issue went unanswered. I finally got a call back. The owner admitted that the pictures on the contract include gutter guards and there's no obvious reason to expect them to be excluded, but threw the contract fine print at me (which does not mention guards). It feels like a bait-and-switch. With some many other vendors, why work with a dishonest one? read more

My gutters needed work, replacement and covering on one side of the house, cleaning and covering on the other side. Someone came out and gave me a reasonable estimate and I signed off on it. I paid the down payment, and told them what days I was home and what days I was at work. So they scheduled it on one of my work days. I texted and asked if we could change it, no answer. I emailed and asked if they could change it, no answer. I called, and Carol (Karen? dk) said, oh, we can take pictures of the work being done, before and after, would that work? Fine. So I'm at work, and they come across a problem. They send me pictures of the problem, a solution, and and an additional charge, and I sign off on it. And that's the last I hear from them. No pictures of before and after. I left a message, no answer. I emailed, no answer. I asked my neighbors if they saw any work being done on the other side of the house, one guy said maybe. I go out to see if anyone cleaned the gutters, and yeah, there's a ton of dirt and debris all over my patio furniture. So cleaning was done. I can only trust that they covered the gutters. I had my knee replaced less than 3 months ago and I can't go up a ladder to see for myself, which is why I would have preferred this happening when I was home. THEN I get an invoice. It doesn't reflect the down payment. I emailed. I emailed again. No answer. I call. Carol (Karen?) says she emailed the pics, and transfers me to the accounting person. Who apologizes for the incorrect invoice and gives me a new final amount, also wrong. We go back and forth and we finally agree on a number, and she says she'll send me pics again. Sure and I have a bridge to sell. All of these issues were relatively minor and could have easily been managed if someone were monitoring their email and phones. But since no one is, the whole thing became a very frustrating experience on my end. I still can't say whether they did good work or not. Still haven't received any pictures. read more

The representative reminded me the appointment time was 1-3pm, and I reminded him that I had been home between 1 and 3; now, it being 3pm, I asked if Sunshine was inconsiderate or unprofessional? I hate it when anyone (workmen, healthcare professionals [doctors, dentists]) think that their time is worth more than the client's time. When we got our bill, the discount was only $50. There is no way I can replace my table for that amount. I called to complain, but they wouldn't budge so I can not recommend them. I had one section of leaking gutter which they replaced with an excellent match to the rest of my gutters. They cleaned the whole system and replaced my worn plastic gutter guards with new stainless steel mesh guards. Their installers were efficient and left my roof nice and clean. Sunshine Gutters deserves every point of their 4.5 star rating. I'm giving them a 5.0, I highly recommend them! Their seamless aluminum gutters come in a wide range of colors. One of which perfectly matched the trim on my house. The price was reasonable compared to the other companies I called. Their service was extraordinary - from the team in the office to the fact that I mostly dealt with the owner, Nir. Getting an estimate was pain-free, as they had flexibility on the appointment time and then showed up when they said they would. There was a bit of a waiting list for an installation date, because like many other California homeowners I had put off having my gutters replaced until El Nino showed up. I was impressed when they called and confirmed a few days in advance. Not surprisingly, they then showed up the day they said they would. The installation went well. There was a small drip from one of the end caps and they came back to fix it without a fuss. Nir even said if I had any problems, even month or years from now, they would take care of it. Unfortunately the service provided was not what was described. The price for "gutter inspection and cleaning" was well over what any other company would charge...$774 for a 3500 sq ft one story home. The job was described verbally as " inspect , clean and seal the gutters" but due to the newer condition of my system I was told no sealing was necessary and I felt like I was being overcharged. After calling the office and asking for a price reduction an ODD woman named Tamona from the "legal department" called and bull horned a speech about having listened to my conversations with the gal in the office etc as well as stating that more work had been done than actually was. Don't do it. Just don't. We used Sunshine Gutters to repair our damaged gutters in Feb 2023. After the first rain, we discovered that the gutters had a serious pitch problem which they came out and confirmed. They repeatedly have not shown up when they said that they would to fix them, started actively avoiding our calls, and the owner sent us nasty messages after we attempted to reverse the credit card charge. The gutters are still broken 3 months later. If you must use this company, I would highly advise you to withhold payment until after the first rain. read more
