I went here today for the first time to get a pedicure and a set of acrylic nails. I got my pedicure first. I got the $50 spa pedicure, and while I enjoyed the experience I wouldn't get it again. I don't think there were enough "spa" treatments to justify the price. Plus, the 10 minute massage was only 5 minutes. Which wouldn't have mattered if I wasn't paying $50 for the pedicure. I'll be sticking to the normal pedicure from now on. Then I moved on to my nails. I got acrylic nails with gel polish, so I wouldn't have to wait for them to dry. I am obsessed with how they came out. He took his time with the shaping, and I didn't feel like he was rushing at any point. There were so many color options and I can't wait to go back and get a new design. Overall I loved how they did my nails, and will definitely be coming back, but probably not for a pedicure. read more

Sunshine Nail Salon is located in a prime location. Very easy to get to by car and there is a parking lot right next to the salon. There are also 2 bus stops in close proximity. My service started with the nail tech removing gel off my nails and toes. I was given colors to choose from. I was pleased with the selection and it took me some time to figure out what colors to select. While in the pedicure chair, my nails sat in a bowl of acetone to remove excess. The massage chairs were lovely. The nail tech took his time painting my toes and they look very neat. I got gel so I did not need slippers, but it was advertised that slippers are an additional $2. My gel manicure came out alright. I maintain my nails every 2-3 weeks. However, the tech didn't use any tools to clean my cuticles, other than a cuticle pusher. There are some nails that could've used a bit of cuticle cleaning. My only concern is in regards to COVID-19 procedures. I didn't sanitize or wash my hands prior to touching the nail swatches. Also, there were not any separators between the pedicure chairs or between the customer and the nail tech. Normally, this wouldn't be a problem, but we're in a pandemic. All staff wore masks, some even doubled up. I was asked to wash my hands during my nail service. I also want to note that I was not engaged with as other customers were with their clients. It's all good though, sometimes self care can be quiet. For anyone in the area, I would recommend this nail salon. I stick to very basic nails but two women also in the salon got some beautiful designs. I suggest checking out their IG to see more of their work. read more

Just returned from getting a SNS dip manicure and a Lavender (mud) Jelly pedicure at the newly opened nail salon by my job. Needed a little relaxation after completing my first week back to school. Salon has easy parking, lot next door. Lots of windows and two doors for ventilation. Social distancing between customers and pedicure chairs. It was not busy for a Wednesday afternoon, but weekends were coming up quickly, as my manicurist juggled then phone class between dipping my nails. Prices were above average cost, compared to neighboring nail salons. Service was impeccable, ask for Suzi, she did both manicure and pedicure. She was very skilled at SNS powder application was not thick and she filed my nails in a almond shape. All staff wore masks and thermometer was at the front desk. read more

Awesome nail salon! Super friendly staff :) Had an appointment for 4pm on a Thursday and was seen right away. They have a wide array of colors and the staff is very helpful in finding what you are looking for and creating designs. I was looking to get Halloween themed nails and Suzi created the perfect look! I went with a gel polish called "Pumpkin Latte" and did one nail in black. On top of the black Suzi recommended a mummy design that was super cute & then she also added a spider web to the index finger. The nail salon was clean, efficient & welcoming. I wanted to love it here so badly and had such high hopes and it fell short for me. Full disclosure I am a runner so my feet aren't the prettiest. After running the NYC marathon in November 2 of my toenails were badly bruised, finally 4 months later, after holding on for dear life they fell off (pretty pissed since spring is coming). Anyway, I went here for a pedicure because my usual spot was overcrowded. A nice young man sat me down and gave me the color palette (of which their color choices are phenomenal). The cleaning of my nails was non existent. The massage was non existent. I tried to explain to the young man to paint whatever was growing in on my 2 nails that had fallen off but he didn't understand and left the blank. Again I reiterated to not leave the area unpolished because it looks ridiculous and he just blankly stared at me. So I left looking ridiculous and anxiety ridden, had to come home and try to match my polish and do it myself. I only gave 2 stars cause they're clean and have a great polish selection. This is as my first time here and I absolutely love this place! I am from Elizabeth and honestly no nail spots are any good. They are all over price and just not up to standards. I decided to visit this place and it's amazing. Super clean, very friendly. I got SNS And it looks amazing. She added an extra power for natural shimmer which I had never gotten before! I will never go back to Sunshine Nail salon. My right side foot got cut while the lady was buffering. I was bleeding A LOT. All the blood got on my sandals. The lady sprayed alcohol and gave me a single Band-Aid. She did apologize. The manager didn't even offer me a discount because of the cut. I had to pay full price! I couldn't believe them! I paid $60 for a basic pedicure/manicure and a huge cut on my right side foot. I left the store and was bleeding even more because of the single BAND-Aid they gave me. Decided to take a chance with Sunshine Nail Salon because I had seen the picture that were posted on there IG account and the pictures were beautiful but when going in person it was different. I had a gel manicure and a regular pedicure very disappointed by the third day my nails were chipping. I didn't get any massage or any dry cuticle wasn't removed from my nails. I have been coming to this place for the past couple months. I loved it! They did amazing work, the designs were always pretty. However the last 3 times I've been coming my nails haven't lasted more then a week. The pictures below are my newest set (last week) and the nail chipped the very next day and there a gap on My design. I always come bringing myself and 1-2 other ppl. I never cared for their prices cause they did good work. But since the last 3 times were so bad... I will not be going back.. how come a full set is 80 dollars (with the designs I do) then come back for a fill in and it's 65-70 dollars remind you the price says 23 dollars for a fill in.. so I'm expecting 35 maybe 45 for a fill in not a full set amount. (She said she charges to cut the nails) never went to place that did that but whatever. One of the workers (remain nameless) asked me when I was gonna come back again. And I said I'll come back when my nails need to get done (they did it sooo good I came back every 3 weeks for a fill in instead of 2 weeks.)The lady then said "oh maybe I'll do work that lasts a week" and that's exactly what happened.. so I will no longer be coming back, nor the other costumers that I bought along with me. I decided to give them a 3rd chance and I told them how unhappy I was with my last 2 sets and they still fucked it up.. thought this place had potential. Paid for the quality that's why I never minded the money. But I will not be paying 70+dollars for nails that doesn't even last me a week! No thank you! (However this set was 50 dollars didn't wanna do my extra designs cause I was scared my nails were gonna fuck up again.. and thank god I didn't cause that's exactly what they did. read more

I want to start off by saying I never write reviews but i feel like i owe all consumers the truth. I saw the pictures online so I thought this salon would be great. Showed up there to get simple sns (dip powder) on my natural nail and remove the extensions. The worker removed the extension and broke one of my nails ok no big deal. Further into the appointment she doesn't ask me if I want a cut down or a shape then puts the dip power on UNFILED AND UNSHAPED NAILS completely unprofessional. After she applied the dip powder I ask her if she could do a coffin and get rid of the bulk on my nails. She over files the left sides of each of my nails so now their uneven and the apex is loaded with product. Then at the end asks me if I like it what a disaster of a nail salon. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY GOING HERE. They didn't even have any other customers at the time of my service so rushing wasn't even an influence. Went home and filed the heck out of my nails just to get them to a point i could stand them on my fingers. If this is professional work i'd rather do it myself because I can do a better job. 100% WOULD NOT RECOMMEND‼‼ read more
