Also, Dr. Sunni has kindly been intervening in our elderly dog's vet tech appts to express the dog's anal glands himself, while keeping the appt at the the cost of a vet tech appt, since the techs were having a lot of difficulty expressing him. And, he said, keep making appts with the techs when I'm on schedule, so I can do it, and let's see how we can add more things to his diet, to help him keep his glands clean. I love this organic approach to helping my elderly dog. We've added organic pumpkin and organic flax seed. We're already seeing his gland much less full. I really really really appreciate Dr. Sunni's kindness as it's difficult to know my dog has a collapsed trachea and hear him cry out repeatedly in pain, while the techs express his glands. Now, we're increasing the time between those appts. And, I don't hear those cries now. So, I have to say, go CARE Animal Hospital. Our dog even has a favorite nail tech that she actually gets excited to see despite the fact that trimming her nails is her least fave part. This location was fully remodeled a few years ago and it is so nice. It feels like it's a large house! It's very clean and there are even mini partitions to keep your dogs separate from each other in the lobby. We trust this vet, and after moving away from Lombard, we had such a bad vet experience somewhere else that we feel that this is the best vet in the area and will continue on coming here, even if it comes with more of a drive for us.

She has a history of severe arthritis and we wanted to see what we can do to make her comfortable and prolong her quality of life. She is on medication for this but we wanted to see what else we could do. For the moment we got there we were greeted by an assistant and then by Dr. Anders. We did not have to wait at all. We felt very welcome. Dr. Anders was so amazing with Roxy. Roxy can be really shy and become grumbly,but with Dr. Anders she was not shy at all. She warmed up to her fairly quickly. You can tell Dr.Andres loves what she does by the way she treats us and Roxy. She was so patient with Roxy throughout the whole process. She was also able to do a thorough exam with without pushing Roxy and make her apprehensive. With this consultation, we learned a lot of information about Roxy's such as her favoring one leg over the other, indicating a potential imbalance or discomfort. At the end of it all we were able to set up some sessions for therapy for Roxy. And we got information on some at home therapy we can do. Im so glad we have another way to help Roxy! I'm excited to see what the next month brings. I'm even more happy know that Roxy we treat with the utmost care at this visit!! Thank you!!

I've been here three times in the past six months, and every visit has been a positive experience. The staff and doctors are incredibly friendly, caring, and respectful--they never make you feel belittled. That might sound small, but after a negative experience at another animal hospital nearby, it really stood out to me. Visiting an urgent clinic for a pet can be so stressful, but the environment here is welcoming, calming, and reassuring. It makes such a difference when you know your pet is in good hands. I honestly wouldn't take my pets anywhere else for urgent care needs.

I have been going to this location since it opened. Now they will refuse to allow me to buy fish if…read morethey ask you your fish tank size and if they calculate the maximum size the fish will grow. Thus you cannot buy fish by the total number inches they think the fish may ever grow per number of gallons.(If they think a glow fish will grow 3 inches, then 3 gallons must be in the tank. I have 6 - 1 inch glow fish, they will say that an 18 gallon tank is the maximum size tank for them. No more fish allowed, PERIOD. That includes catfish bottom feeders, snails. I have a double filtration system which should handle more fish and water is changed regularly but they refused to go against THEIR rules, even if I want to take any risks. I have raised fish since childhood and never heard such rules. I am now having to going elsewhere up the road. Too bad, they have lost a long term customer.

He was incredibly sweet, playful, and affectionate, and we appreciated being given private time to interact with him. The staff allowed us to get to know Cheeto without any pressure to make a purchase, which we appreciated. Ultimately, we decided not to move forward with bringing him home due to the $3,900 price tag plus tax. We later learned that Cheeto was purchased by another family the following day. While we're sad we didn't get to bring him home, we're happy he found a family. We hope Cheeto enjoys a long, happy, healthy life and receives all the love and care he deserves.
