I tan here on the regular and all the girls are so nice and sweet. It's super welcoming and calming. They also have a cool body wrap service that helps you burn calories when you don't feel like going to the gym. An awesome 20 minute tan is what I always need at the end of a long work day. They make it so hard to cancel your membership that I would call it a scam. I sent a message to the main office that I wanted to cancel my membership...no reply. I called the location where I go for services.... i got a call that said I needed to come in to cancel. Today I went into the location and was told that I could not cancel today because it was past the cut off time. I could not fill out the paper work today to cancel but if I come back tomorrow I MIGHT be able to do it. So for a week I have been unable to cancel. Now I am past the deadline and will be charged for another month. They are ripping me off. These are unscrupulous practices. read more

i came in to see what this salon had to offer after a lengthy membership at palm beach tan and this place did not disappoint! it is way more expansive than just sun beds (which are great) because it doubles as a spa! the girls are so sweet and helpful. ive only been coming for a few weeks but i feel/look so much better on the inside & out! the skin hydration lounge is a must try and i was surprisingly impressed by the works of the foot detox. i always look forward to coming here :) read more

HUGE WARNING!! Do not sign up for an account the sales people do not give you accurate info and will keep charging you and send you to collection even when you stop your account, charges you do not know about and even after they are supposedly resolved with Corporate, the charges keep coming and are sent to collection. They tell you one thing and are doing another. We thought we enjoyed going to Suns Up and I referred a lot of people. I will NOT go back to a company that is this unethical. I am now warning people as to their sneaky and unethical billing practices. I was told a lot of people are complaining about this and see others online saying it too. The trouble comes when you go to cancel your membership. Although when signing up they tout how easy it is to stop the membership with 30 days notice. You pretty much cannot get their services without one. So we had three memberships within our family. My husband and I went in personally to cancel them, and I cancelled the one for our minor child, and were told we should just pause them. The person was very insistent that this be done as a pause so I finally reluctantly agreed. I also let her know our credit card on file had been stolen and paid the charges up to date with the new card, and tried to update the card on file. I argued a few times with her but was assured there was NO NEED! NEVER was there a mention of a $5 monthly charges plus fines. She had me sign for myself and our minor child's memberships and my husband stopped by later to sign to put his on hold and signed for his. She said in 3 months I would need to extend the hold. You are not given anything to read and sign on a black digital pad. I stopped by in 3 months to find out that they had been accruing unknown to us charges in the amount of about $600. I was of course shocked and upset. I was encouraged to email corporate. They apparently charge $5 a month, and then were charging $15 a month penalty because they did not have a current card on file. That still does not total that amount, so I do not know what the charges were for, and this was not clarified to me. Not one phone call was made to any of us by the way during this time to let us know of these unpaid and accumulating charges, or to ask for an updated card. We had no idea they were charging us. The person working called corporate after I left and called me back to let me know that the charges to two of the accounts were waived. Everything taken care of except $60 on one account, I have no idea what it was for? I was told just pay that next time you are in. I agreed to just put the crazy charges to an end. Fast forward a week, I open my mail to find they sent us to collections for one of the accounts (so far, I assume the others are coming) that they said charges were waived for. So now safe to assume our good hard earned credit history now has a collection on it for bogus charges that were claimed to be removed by Suns up. When I called them upon opening this collection, I am told on this account there are no charges, but I now have a debt collector pursuing payment. I was told my $60 amount due is being penalized and now is $85. OMG!!! I tried to pay it over the phone and she would not accept payment. I can try to get ahold of corporate by e-mail. I cannot get anyone at the collection company to answer of course and was told I can "e-mail" corporate at Suns up. I will be pursuing these poor and unethical business practices by them, and WARNING OTHERS ABOUT SUNS UP. I don't know when they will decide to stop the bogus charges accruing. They will tell you something, but it is not true, so how do I know? Do yourself a favor and do not trust this company with a membership or your credit or debit card. read more

I like this place a lot but you have to cancel your membership 30 days advance or they will charge you an extra month. Tried canceling 25 days early and wasn't enough time. seems quite ridiculous. Not like they need to find a new tenant to fill the vacancy. read more

I went in today for the body sculpting and infrared treatments today. I lost 1.5 inches out of the treatment. ( I measured myself so no cheating /gimmicks). I added the fit booster spray to my treatment, it made it super hot and burned more calories and fat, essentially a double workout while I napped.. I will definitely be doing this a few more times before I go on my beach vacation. read more

Every visit has been extremely pleasant, always clean, service is timely, and always greeted with a smile. Jazz is very attentive and has taken time to educate me on all the different services available and interested me in things I would of never thought of or tried on my own. I have yet to experience all the different services available but, I have never had a bad experience. I have had an extremely negative experience here. For my birthday I was given a coupon for a free upgrade tanning bed. Wonderful, right? Not at all. The guy, Dominic at the front desk did not seem too keen to let me just do that. He was intent on getting me to buy higher priced tanning packages. When I expressed that I /couldn't/ handle the ingredients on the spray tan (fragrance), and wasn't interested in Red Light Therapy or their body wrap, I was still pressured. For a total of 22 minutes, I suffered through the badgering, while other clients glared at me for monopolizing the counter; when all I wanted to do was just tan. Because of this place I was unable to pick my daughter up from day care on time. It should also be mentioned that BEFORE all this started, I had just signed my husband up for their monthly membership. Like they didn't have enough of me money already... (Also, this was not the only unpleasant experience I had with Dominic, only the most negative) read more

This place is terrible! I used to go here in high school (now a college grad) and I dreaded going there everyday because they would push me to buy more. Do they really think a young high schooler has the money to be buying $150 lotions? Just let me tan! Also, they put a hold on my account and said I owed money and would not let me tan when I didn't owe them a cent. The owner was the worst but I believe he has been fired since then. Due to a serious illness I was unable to tan so I put my account on hold at the store. Due to some incorrect information given, when I went to cancel my account there was a large balance due. I was blessed to talk to the kindest woman at the corporate office and she was able to help me get my account canceled and adjust the error made in the store. I've always had nothing but positive experiences at this store and will use their services again once I'm medically cleared. read more

Wow, three 1-star reviews. I definitely get where people are coming from - I hate the hard sales pitches EVERY time I walk in to tan just as much as the next person, but I feel like that's just part of the experience in tanning, I guess. I am very firm with the girls who try to sell me all the time and ask them to make a note in my file that I will let them know when I need to buy something. They're pretty polite about backing off after that. I dig this location has a stand-up bed, which I like to use now and then. The Malibu and the Executive are both nice beds and when I have the money, I enjoy using the red light bed. Overall, it's a clean salon with adequate beds, so it's A-OK in my book. read more

Tanning services are great...just don't ever try to cancel your membership. I had to wait a full year, paying every month, in order to be able to cancel my membership. Even then, you'll have to physically go in, sign forms and then you STILL have to pay for another 2 months before you can actually cancel. The membership perks are not worth this. read more

SHADY, DISGUSTING, UNPROFESSIONAL! I agree with all of the lower reviews, all of there reviews are on point this place is a joke. I tried to cancel my so called membership many times with this place and all i wanted was to tan a little bit not for the rest of my life. I had to cancel my bank card to make sure they didn't charge me now there are saying I owe 237.00 for 3 months of tanning THAT I NEVER EVEN USED! When i told the women at the desk I wanted to cancel she said OK and it was never cancelled. I now have a bill that is 200 and something dollars and is now "being sent to collections" because I refuse to pay it because I didn't tan after the day that i said I wasn't going to tan. One of the times I showed up and was sent into a room where the bed clearly was not cleaned another time I came in and asked where the restroom was and a younger guy said where it was(THERE WAS NO SIGN ON THE DOOR STATING IT WAS OUT OF ORDER) I came out before I even used it and asked for toilet paper and he said they were out and have been for days now! The younger guy even laughed when I said why would you tell me where the bathroom is if there is no toilet paper. I have called the corporate office and requested a copy of my "Membership" which I didn't agree to and have never received my signature on this said BS membership. Also to update the lady sent me my SO CALLED MEMBERSHIP after I posted this review.I will never go hear again and I will refer everyone to PALM BEACH TAN. Look for your next review on GOOGLE! I went into SunsUp Tanning Salon over off of 164th ave in Vancouver, Wa. My friend and I just wanted to try it out to see if we liked the center. The front desk worker (Dominic, I believe) was EXTREMELY pushy. He wanted me to buy things that were $100+ but ALL I WANTED TO DO WAS TAN. We stood there listing to his whole list of things to tell us for over 45 minutes. All I wanted to do was tan and get a good experience because I had heard amazing things about this place but thanks to the pushy guy at the front desk, I will never be going back. read more
