My friend and I decided to get a last minute room here to break up our route to standpoint, Idaho. We were able to call and get a room only a few hour shy of our arrival. The woman on the phone was super kind, and very accommodating. She was even able to get us a better rate than what we assumed we were going to pay. When we came to check in, Joann at the front was an absolute pleasure. She was such a kind woman, accommodated our needs for a pet friendly room, and even let us bring our dog through so she could say hello. She truly made us feel at home and welcome, and that type of hospitality is priceless. As for the room, they're great! The interior is a little dark/slightly outdated, but everything was spotless and clean. There is a desk, tv, and the AC/Heat worked wonderfully. The hotel was pretty quiet throughout the evening and we got an amazing sleep. If you're looking to recharge and unwind, this place is great for that. read more

The price on line was 89.00. Got home and they charged my account for $185.52. Trust me this room was NOT worth that! The street noise was horrible. Bathroom was not as clean as it should have been. Terrible experience--avoid at all costs! After a 13-hour drive from Seattle with a toddler and our parents, we arrived at 3:15 AM to find our fully prepaid one-night reservation canceled--with no prior notice. Some bookings require payment at the hotel, but ours was already paid, so this cancellation cost us both the room and our money. The front desk staff was rude and unhelpful, repeatedly citing a "policy" that arrivals after 2 AM are canceled. They refused to honor our booking, discount codes, or price match, and told us to go elsewhere. The room was filthy, smelled bad, and was not as advertised. Awful! Should've read/listened to reviews! The floor creaked and sagged in places. The bed LITERALLY had a belly to it that you could not get out of if you wanted to...like laying in a trench. let me start out by saying the reception staff was very receptive and helpful. They made accommodations after I had to switch rooms twice with the third time being the charm. First room the bathtub had hairs all over it & bedding was stained. The "blackout" curtains were not adjustable so the sheer curtain could not be covered causing lack of privacy and allow sunlight to pour in. Second room had hair in the bed and on the pillows. The front desk staff were friendly. Breakfast was typical hotel breakfast fare in a clean dining area. My room was grungy and had a sour, dirty smell. I suspect it was the carpet, which was worn and stained. I was careful not to walk on it with my bare feet. If this had been an $80 hotel room, I would have been OK with it since you get what you pay for. At $150 per night, it was overpriced. It would vastly improve things if the carpet was replaced with a solid surface. read more

Proceeded to call Gypsy and ask about the room, several curse words were used in front of my 75 yr old mother. Smells terrible, old RV parked in lot plugged into hotel. The staff was very nice but the room was just disgusting. It reeked of mold and the carpet was moist. Extremely pungent smell right when you walk in the room. My girlfriend woke up with a heavy chest and I woke up with a stuffy nose. She found a few random pills on the floor and one in the bed. Not sure what they were but luckily she found them before the puppies did. However, the puppies did find a couple of dirty socks and men's boxer briefs under the bed. There was a bunch of old rice kernels under the desk. The toilet handle was broken. the key card didn't work in the north entrance so you'd have to hold the door open or walk around every time you go outside. This is at best a $60 hotel. We made a reservation online and even called to confirm it (which they did, taking a credit card number to hold our reservation). When we arrived, they said "your reservation was cancelled" - we never cancelled and they never contacted us to inform us of this, and they were fully booked, meaning no place for us to stay. Booked our room on Expedia two months prior to our stay. Roll up at 10:30 pm, go to check in, the clueless person says there is no reservation on file. The other gentleman has her look up a few different areas on the computer and we're in the canceled file. "Mike" the doosh corporate guy canceled our reservation because the card was declined. Not a call, no follow up, nothing. (Note, we've been traveling all day paying for gas and food on the way) The person basically says, there's nothing I can do. (Hint, never say that to a customer). They do however, have a smaller room for double the cost. "This is crazy we retort". Again we get there's nothing I can do. The one sort of helpful guy says we can call Mike "the doosh" and he gives us his phone number and an email address. Obviously he doesn't answer the phone and his voicemail box is full. With no other option at 10:30 we pay the doubled price. Hotel elevator doesn't work. Side entrance doors don't work. Room is 80° when we get in. Entire place smells like pot. We made a reservation through the Wyndham phone App guaranteed for late arrival with a credit card. Upon arrival we were informed that there was not a room available. The clerk was dismissive and not at all apologetic. He said that since we booked on the App, they didn't have to recognize the reservation and we should have made it directly with the hotel. Wyndham should drop this hotel from their list of properties. We were referred to 2 other Wyndham properties and they were both full. Sleeping in the car was not on the travel plan, but it was 11pm and we were tired. The next day my credit card was charged as a no show. It took 2 weeks and several phone calls to get a refund. I would not recommend this property to anyone. Having a reservation means nothing to them! Stay somewhere else. read more

Extremely overpriced for one night. The location is terrible and there are homeless individuals all over the location. Its very poorly lit in the parking lot and around the whole building in general. It was almost $250 for one night after all their bogus fees and taxes. The bathroom was dirty and the sink was clearly used for someone to shave in and housekeeping did not clean it up properly. The beds are comfortable but the pillows are so tiny. They are like decoration pillows. The two stars are for the low pet fee at just $10, the room decor, and the microwave and refrigerator. I reserved this room in an emergency after fleeing a violent situation at home in the middle of the night. When I arrived at the hotel with my 10-month-old infant, I was greeted by an extremely rude staff member. After I handed her my driver's license, she saw I was a local resident. She then informed me that the hotel would not allow me to stay there per policy and I was turned away. This in itself was very upsetting. I later realized I was still charged for this room and have spent extensive time trying to have the charge reversed, still to no avail. I don't understand how this hotel has such a high customer rating. Our stay started with a problem with Priceline. The attendant wasn't rude but she wasn't friendly either. The room just felt dirty. The bathroom had a used q-tip on the floor. There was only half a roll of toilet paper to be used by 4 people. The bed had hair on the sheets. We went out for awhile and when we came back, there were 2 parking spots left which left the car that came in behind us without a parking spot. Washing machine didn't wash well. I'll call it a solid rinsing... Coin operated and very old. Dryer had to be cycled twice. (Get out your quarters) Gross rust constantly oozes onto the toilet seat, which looks like blood. Room chair is stained and also looks like it's from the 70's... who knows when the thing was cleaned last. The shower is also old... dingy-looking, and with a textured flooring that doesn't get a thorough scrubbing. Carpets are showing their age as well. I can say that it doesn't small bad and the bed was "fine". Everything was an expensive option here, but we should have paid more to stay elsewhere. Jody answered my call when I called to give my credit card details for the room I reserved. Jody was short, rude, and flat out nasty to me. She accused me of talking to someone else while on the phone with her for reasons unknown to me. I was in my home office and completely alone. I have family coming in to stay from out of town, hence why I called Jody at the front desk to finish the completion of my booking. Needless I am never going to stay at Super 8 in Butte regardless of being a Wyndamn Member. Terrible customer service. I highly recommend not reserving a room with Jody at the Super 8. read more

Definitely in need of sprucing up. The carpet in the hallways is rather dingy. And the parking lot is utilitarian at best. Near the interstate so it looks a bit grungy. So for whatever reason. Every single hotel and motel in the state is booked. After stopping and calling nearly a dozen I "got lucky" and this one had a room. $275 later. I could have continued driving or slept in the parking lot but out of safety for myself and other drivers. I Bit the bullet. I still have a long day of driving, best to get some rest. Super 8 Hotel Billings Montana Upon arrival the check-in Clerk, a bearded woodsy type guy, With pretty much no customer service skills whatsoever tried to put me on the second floor when I had specifically requested ground floor on my reservation. Once he switched it around to where I could park my vehicle which has a roof rack and a luggage basket on the hitch by my room, I went to check out the room. It's decent enough. TV, microwave little refrigerator & coffee maker. everything at the ad promised. I saw where the parking was available by my window so I go outside to get my van to move it and a guy was just getting in his truck in the parking lot and told me that if I don't take everything from the outside and put it inside it will be stolen! Now how he knew I was the person that owned the van from the direction I was coming from? I have no clue unless they start watching you as soon as you pull in. So I guess my number one thing to tell you right now is don't come here. I pulled around I'm parked in the first spot by my window and offloaded everything inside the van which will take about another 30 minutes in the morning to put everything back on. And if these people are watching you when you are in the parking lot, I pulled both my handguns out of the van and put them on the roof for that reason. I then collected my stuff and went inside. Hotel is just off I-15 off ramp. Even though the hotel is close to I-15 I couldn't hear the traffic from the highway nor the road. Front counter staff was friendly and welcoming. The hotel and decor looks like it was built in the early 80s. Room doors and carpet are brown in colour. Hallway is a bit dim in certain parts. Lighting is not enough in the hallway but enough to see where I'm going. There are a number of entrances/exits to the hotel and most are only accessible with the hotel access card. Room is decent size and quite clean. I didn't find it noisy because my room is away from the main road. In the room that I was in there is a microwave, TV, fabric chair, and a queen size bed. The wash basin is not in the bathroom which is a good thing because one person can wash up while someone uses the bathroom. Bathroom has a bath tub. There is also free wifi in the room and a self-serve laundry room. Room looks clean and bathroom looks clean as well. Room wall is thin as I could hear the person in the next room having sex...thumping against the wall. Hotel is walking distance to McDonalds, Pizza Hut, KFC and Taco Bell (next door). Plenty of free self-parking on the side and back of the hotel. Continental breakfast included. The bananas hanging on the rack was very very ripe and boiled eggs were a bit hard (rubbery??). Of all the places I stayed during this road trip the hotel had the best coffee. Check-out was easy. Neighbourhood felt safe. read more

Right off the freeway. Efficient friendly desk staff. Clean quiet, very small room. I had reserved a 2 bed suite but there was not on available on the first floor. My husband is disabled and with no elevator we had to settle for the room available on the first floor. Convenient and close to many restaurants and other businesses. There is a Walmart is just down the street. My biggest complaint is that when I checked in I specifically ask the desk clerk to charge the credit card I handed her for the room NOT the debit card I used to reserve the room. Looking for a place to stay for the night. This was our 4th hotel to inquire about prices. The first 3 wanted over $100/night and that was WITH a military discount. So here we paid $86 with a military discount. The room was clean, but obviously older. The breakfast area was also clean and had lots of options. As I was packing the car, I used the side entrance where you need to swipe your room key to get in. When I went back in thru that entrance, the door had stuck from when I left the hotel and was still slightly open. Wonder if the door was slightly open all night long? Can't even think about that because it gives me the heebie jeebies. read more

The rooms are clean but the bathrooms are very small and they said the beds are queens but there more like fulls and the beds are hard as rocks if you want comfort this not the hotel to stay at. The breakfast is not that great and it only runs till 9:30am. read more

Pros: When I arrived, I was told there were only 2 rooms left. I asked for a fridge, but the guy that was checking in next to me got the last one. They were kind enough to hold my stuff in the fridge downstairs. Cons: No hot water. I called in the morning about it, and was told it was because all of the rooms were full and everyone must have been using the water at the same time. The front desk person said they would have maintenance check on it. 30 seconds later I got a call back saying to try it again in 5 minutes. I did, and it was worse. I was not able to take a shower, and I had to leave to get back on the road. I asked for a partial refund because of it. I was told that this kind of thing happens occasionally when they are at full capacity. I was given a $20 credit, but I'm absolutely baffled at how you can expect to have a hotel hot water heater and not have it able to keep up with demand. Hopefully I never have to step foot in Montana again in my life in general, but if I do, I will not be staying here again. read more

So I asked for a ground floor (only 5 steps in the stair), she answered the phone instead of booking me and gave it to someone else. Ended up getting another room on the second floor, 10 stairs up. Not ADA compliant and struggled to carry suitcase and go up stairs. If you have and handicap issues, do not go here. read more

The hotel itself isn't too bad, but the beds are rock hard and the pillows way too soft. I could hear multiple people showering and the walls are very thin. When I finally was able to doze off, the smoke alarm across the hall went off FIVE TIMES. Overall our room was older, but clean, but I wasn't thrilled by all the noise. read more

Just checked out of the super 8 in Butte Montana. WE HAD COCKROACHES IN OUR ROOM!!! When we brought it to the front Lady with short blonde hair with a red tint she laughed at my dad and denied it. Very very disappointed. Luckily the maintenance man caught my dad in the hallway and asked about it. He was very nice and respectful and actually seemed to care.
