Pretty sure I've left a review before, not sure why they don't have better ratings! Best prices, rooms, staff... Been a frequent stayer for about four years now and I've NEVER once seen anything unclean or had any encounters with bugs, rude employees, literally have never had an issue here! Amazing little place, me and my boyfriend know the owners, they've always thanked us for our loyalty and provided excellent customer service! So serious, everyone here needs a raise, this is the cleanest, quietest, best place to stay at around here, literally would not go anywhere else! With Super 8 by Wyndham in Dandridge, I always know our stay will be safe for one and pleasant. Never any sketchy behavior in the area, as Dandridge is a small quiet town. I am the furthest thing from a motel snob. I don't expect perfection from an economy-priced room. However, the only reason I gave a second star is because the front desk woman was so nice and not only is the motel pet-friendly, she was overly accommodating when she had to snag her dog up into her arms because our (admittedly) unleashed, over-friendly, lab ran over in greeting. She said that she did it because her dog has a dominant demeanor, but we were in the wrong and she'd have had every right to call us on it. But, this is the first time I've spread the bedspreads on the floor simply because I won't let my bare feet touch the carpet. (There are other reasons to throw them on the floor, but that can apply to any motel). And I walk barefoot EVERYWHERE. But, 5 steps on these greasy carpets skeeved even me out. Ugh read more

Went down to front desk and told the staff about the state of the room and she did not offer to move us to a cleaner room or even refund so we could go to different hotel. I was in need of a hotel and looking for a La Quinta or Super 8 (both are pet friendly) and Super 8 came first. For $40-45 this place ROCKS! Pillow top king size mattress, 42" flat screen, great cable connection, stainless steel fridge, dark wood bed set and granite tops on everything. I had a wonderful night sleep. The only reason why I am not giving a 5 star review for my wonderful stay is because of the following: 1. This experience was disgraceful. We went through Wyndham and made the reservations. Gave our credit card number and phone number and since it was not within the timeframe for cancellation there would be no cancellations. When we arrived to check in we were told that our reservation had been cancelled. We had received emails confirming the reservations; however, we were told the credit card did not clear. We were also told they tried to call the number on file and was told the number was not a working number. The number inputted into the system was incorrect. I can tell you there was no reason for the credit card to have declined. And it didn't show up on my credit card app so again it was more than likely inputted incorrectly or they decided they could get more money fir the reservations due to power outages in Pigeon Forge. The clerk sent an email at 7:11 and we walked in at 7:30 and we were told our reservations were cancelled. I highly recommend everyone stay clear of this hotel. This place smells like smoke, there are stains on both beds and one has what I can only describe as dried food on one blanket. The front desk lady would rather be on her personal laptop than work, and just to top it off there is no breakfast. You get all of this for around 85$ Honestly if I wasn't exhausted from riding in the heat all day I'd have left. read more

The room the check in counter smelled terrible, like curry or something. Sink faucet in room was broken and leaky. Towel rack in bathroom was broken and loose. Room smelled like smoke despite being advertised as a non-smoking room. Room air conditioner loud and squeaky and didn't keep up. Beds uncomfortable. Complimentary breakfast was lousy. This Super 8 is a Super 0 Where do I begin? First, I was desperate to find a room last minute in Gatlinburg, but with no luck I settled on this one in Dandridge TN. My charge was about $170 because there were a couple of events going on in the area (??). Not only was the room expensive for a Super 8, it wasn't worth more than $50. This hotel does NOT have an elevator (?) and we were booked on the second floor (go figure). Made us wish we'd packed lighter. To make matters worse, in the bathroom there were hairs in the tub, special hairs on the toilet, low pressure water (shower too), and much more. When I went to make my coffee, there was no outlet close by. I ended up having to plug it into an outlet near our cooler and setting it on top. Then when I went to warm up the cold breakfast that I got in the lobby/eating area, I had to squeeze behind the TV and unplug the refrigerator to plug in the microwave. Although they do not offer laundry service, which is fine because I don't use it, I would've appreciated a "complementary" laundry bag. The continental breakfast leaves a lot to be desired. I settled on some biscuits and gravy which didn't taste too good. Overall, not satisfied. **However the receptionists were very friendly. read more

Doesn't even deserve 1 star. Walked in and there was still food in the fridge and a chimichanga in the microwave. The bathroom floors and shower were dirty. The garbage wasn't taken out when "cleaned" and the lights kept twitching. Bed bugs. The smell was horrendous, my family literally was gagging. We requested a non-smoking room and walked in and you could smell nothing but cigarette smoke. Not to mention the "ash trays" left in this room still had ashes in them. Check in very late around 12:30 am when we got to hotel we were told they cancel our room because they thought we were not going to show up .I had talk to the lady behind the desk not even an hour before this and told her we were on are way from Florida but no matter the time we would be there please hold our room.Well the lady behind the desk said i have a room even thought we cancel your do to no show really now.We then went to the room on second floor dog barking at that time of night. Walked in room and it smelled nasty so we then were ready to go to sleep but first we pulled back the bed sheet only to found hair and a very very Nasty spot on the bed and it still wet thur out the whole bed .I then went to lobby to talk with the lady who then said she was the Manger .I told her about the issues and her answer was I can give you sheet and you can remake it ..Really the bed is wet with a very nasty stain ,I try showing her pictures and she said we have No other room .I then call Best Western Plus 11 miles up the road and we then moved our stay there . Lots to say. Pros: Very clean and hospitable to a minute degree. Convenient location. Breakfast was nice. Price was very very good at a little over $100 with tax. Cons: Previous customers complained about marijuana smell coming from rooms. Hotel staff had very little concern as it seems that they may have participated in the festivity. Unfounded but plausible. One of the women working behind the counter engaged in a conversation with some older men and they were comparing tattoos, to the point where she was starting to move clothing out of the way to show the guys. I interrupted their conversation and show and tell and the woman says I have another tattoo elsewhere that I cant show you right now. REALLY!? At one point I had my kids in the lobby and the other woman was engaged in a conversation with another older man. The conversation turned from casual "what are you doing" to topics like cocaine and prostitutes. I told my kids to go back to the car to mom. Even though the woman behind the counter saw my kids, she didnt think twice about changing the topic of conversation. Poor judgement! Upon checkout the next day, the older and taller of the two women asked me, "are you sure you dont want to stay another night...I am sure I can teach you a thing or two, youre handsome". I gave her a look like...WTF! She's the one that checked me in the night before...with the presence of my wife and kids! She then says, "but Im pretty sure you could probably teach me a few things yourself, you look like you can". Goes to show that men too can be sexually harrassed. I found this very disgusting and appaling to say the least. 2 stars, 1 for the price and 1 for the cleanliness. No professional conduct, inappropriate conversations infront of kids and disgusting conversations with customers overall. FYI..if you want a set price, look online first because if you show up or call they will give you whatever price they see fit. I overheard the woman tell 2 different people in person and over the phone prices ranging from $99.95 to $119.95...when the price was clearly $89.95. Where can I start...I came in looking for a room and waaala a room for 39.99. The receptionist gave me an outrageous price so I asked why so much she said that's only for CDL drivers, I said I am A CDL driver so she asked to see the license. After that she was the rudest receptionist ever. I felt like she didn't want me there. She gave me the wrong password for the WiFi then I called front desk she left me on hold forever so I hung up and tried again but she didn't pick up, I called from my cell and she picked up quick. The accommodations were adequate for the price but BEWARE if using a credit card. I reserved a room ($335.70 per week) for my mother after her house burned. I paid with my AX and was given the correct price of $335.70. At some point the charge was changed to $6770.70 and 10 days later the manager STILL hasnt reversed this charge! read more

Solid motel, especially for the price. Hey, it's not the Hyatt, but its actually better than some of those I've had to stay at for conventions, believe it or not (working hot water, free high speed wireless, microwave & fridge). Decently clean, safe area, soaps are what you'd find in a $150 hotel,the room is quite nice, spacious, and kept up. Also best price in the area. Cons: Room staff had apparently strung a power cord across the room instead of going to the effort of putting it behind the bed where it belonged. Power went out when we were there at about 6:30 when we wanted to check out. But it looked like that happened to the entire block. The night staff didn't seem at all interested in being helpful (they were oh so stressed out from the busy season), but the morning guy was pretty collected despite the power outage). $39,00 Flashing on the huge sign.. but, bait and switch, 'that price is only for CDL drivers. Got a room anyway. First impression: the front desk people are super awesome and friendly!!. Place looks like they just put in new carpet, painted etc.. still can see some rough places on the walls and ceilings. Coffee pot had no outlet. Phone doesnt work,at all. Wallpaper border just peeled away in places. Looks like the things the housekeepers are responsible for, as in the way bed was made, vacuuming, cleanliness of bathroom etc was actually very nice and fresh. Breakfast: so-so. Waffles u make yourself, cereal (2 kinds of flakes), biscuits and gravy (rockhard biscuits), super sweet orange juice. Then the nightmare began; i paid for a second night since i would be there till 10pm that night. Paid by debit card at 9am. When i came back to my room my service dog was barking and the cleaning lady was apoligizing to me for opening my room (at 9am!! AND with a 'do not disturb' door hanger up AND after just paying early for a second night). She told me she then realized i was staying another night. At least she was friendly and truly apologetic,( i had no problem with her also because i did appreciate how she kept the room, assuming it was her who cleaned mine before i rented it). The wallpaper border was just painted around, throughout the whole room, leaving the new yellow paint having a weird, and sloppy, old white paint edge around the border on the ceiling. Holes on the walls (see photo's) black stains on the ceiling in the bathroom, no outlets by the bed or even near), loose carpet border, 2 toilet paper rolls, each on their last bit of paper and no extra to be found and a huge area above the shower head where a pile of drywall mud and paint chips are just hanging loose and falling in the tub (see photo)..NOW THE EXPERIENCE with the OWNER!!:: As i said, i paid another night well before checkout (paid at 9am) i was sleeping,catching up on my rest of my travels when i was awoken by th let owner standing in my room, holding the door wide open!!! I was naked in bed and by the time my service dog awoke me that something was going on i sat up and have this guy standing in my room, he just stayed there with the door wide open and him standing in front of my bathroom door, that far in my room!!! He said 'you need to pay!!' I was half asleep (like, you know, what you pay for when you rent a room at a hotel) and i could just barely get out saying i had paid already. He just said 'no, that was yesterday' then i told him that i just paid at 9am (4 hours earlier, by then) and that it even showed on my debit card transactions. He then said. 'Oh, you paid by card', and then just walked out and closed the door. (Again, the 'do not disturb' door hanger was up..) No apology. No have a good day, or thank you.. nothing. I looked over to my phone and i see i had s missed call from a friend who's number i had left at the desk, the owner had called her and she said he was being an @-hole on the phone, demanding money (?) So, she stepped out of her job to call me.. this owner should be the next thing they "update" at this place... By then im just awake.. never fell asleep again. Got a soda from the machine by the back door, just took my dollar and i had to get it back at the front desk. Went out to smoke a cigarette, came back in and, after all the challenges and rude awakening and people barging in my room that morning, my freaking key was never redone at the desk when i paid that morning for the second night.. back down to the office to have it re programmed. The guy said 'oh yea' as if he knew before hand they didnt do it when i paid. Also, totally out of coffee, the downstairs lobby coffee maker, aswell as the room pouches... sigh. AVOID!!!!!
