Really great experience. Scheduling was simple, and Stacey was ready for us as soon as we arrived with no wait at all. The cut was very cute, in line with my wishes. She made my toddler feel completely comfortable by offering juice, keeping him entertained, and giving plenty of high-fives for being patient. Overall we were satisfied. We stumbled upon this adorable kid's haircut place. I decided to get both my kids haircut. We will be back at some point and request a different hairdresser for my daughter. My daughter's hairdresser was a bit snarky and didn't deliver on the curls my daughter requested with her blowout $60 shampoo, cut & blowout. Her hair was flat and hairdresser said it would take two hours to curl her hair. Huh?!?! I reassured her we were not in a hurry, my daughter was getting a treat & she wanted curls. Curls were not delivered. They could improve on this part maybe a smaller barrel curling iron or more experienced hair dresser to handle long hair & curls. She also soaked her undershirt & shirt after her wash and seat was full of hair where she invited both my husband and I to sit until I pointed out it was filled with hair. My son's hairdresser took her time and my son was pleased with his new cut. read more

We had such a great first experience at Super Awesome! I called ahead and walked in, and Cinthia greeted us right away. It was our son's first real haircut (he's only had one before), and she was incredibly kind and patient as he warmed up to the chair. My 9 year old son is very picky especially with his hair. He left the last two hair cuts at a different salon in tears. Having recently taken my daughter to Super Awesome for a cute cut and hair tinsel, I thought I'd give them a try. Stacey listened attentively. She asked questions and showed pictures and treated him like a client. My son was SO happy with the hair cut and left saying "this was the best hair cut of my life!" We've tried different kids salon's for our 3 year old son and he got the best haircut by far from Stacey at Super Awesome. Most other haircuts he has gotten don't grow out well but his cut with Stacey is growing out amazing. She also has such a great vibe for kids and our son was really happy getting his haircut with her! The salon itself is really cute and well designed for kids too. read more

If I could give this place a 0 star review I would. The stylist who did my child's hair is extremely unprofessional and rude, when I showed her the picture of how I wanted my child's haircut she said " I mean I guess we could try " , It was his first haircut and the stylist seemed to have an issue with it since according to her most kids are very difficult for their first haircut. This is not the attitude to have if you work at a place that specializes in kids cuts. Overall very bad attitude. read more

I am beyond disappointed with our experience here. I brought my son in with his beautiful long, blond surfer hair, ready for a big (but carefully planned) cut. I showed them a photo of exactly what I wanted and made it very clear that his hair is a big part of his identity--I asked them to keep it long and beachy. Instead, they did the exact opposite. His hair is now much shorter than I requested, with choppy layers that will take forever to grow out. If you have a specific style in mind for your child, do not come here. Despite my clear instructions, it seems they either do whatever they want or simply lack the skill to follow a request. To make matters worse, when I expressed my disappointment, they barely acknowledged it--just a quick "sorry" and sent us on our way. No offer to make it right, no real apology, and certainly no refund. Hair grows back, but I wasn't prepared for such a frustrating experience, and I'm still processing how careless they were with something so important to us. Worst $50 I've ever spent. We love this place so much! First of all, it's so cute and inviting. The decor is so fun. Secondly, the staff is so accommodating and helpful. Very patient as well. I also have a special needs child and they went above and beyond to make us all feel comfortable. He had two people attending to him and could take breaks when he needed it. Super Awesome is well, super awesome! For so long, residents on the westside were in need of a quality salon for children. I would drive all the way to Brentwood to go to Cookie Cutters which was okay but did not give you the kind of experience and quality service you will receive at Super Awesome Natalia was our stylist and she was so amazing with my 2 yo son. As you can imagine he was constantly moving and could not sit still, yet Natalia was patient and so skilled. She gave him the best first cut I could ask for, a cute little mullet. The salon is super cute with chairs that look like kid's cars. It's clean and brightly lit. They even provide screens to keep the kids still if needed or little toys to keep them occupied. There's even a well curated shop in front where they carry thier own brand of hair products. Do yourself and your child a favor and go here for your next kid's cut. You will find it equally as super awesome as I did. read more
