I have had Sardi's Peruvian chicken in Beltsville MD before. It's a favorite place to go if we have time to go out to eat at lunchtime. I was on my wat home Friday and could smell the chicken cooking while I was driving past. I have never been to this location before I thought sure, let's go. Once you see where the restaurant is, you can simply find parking. I had an idea what I wanted but checked out the menu board anyway. Similar to Sardi's but not as many choices of sides. I ordered the 1/4 white with steamed vegetables and coleslaw. Place was not busy on a Friday at 5 pm as I expected more people. I open the container at home and try the chicken. It's excellent. Vegetables are very good and the coleslaw (what I call an indicator for a restaurant) was very good. Cabbage was fresh and quality ingredients went into the sauce. Plus it was cold, always a plus. It came in a separate container. I was satisfied with the food and would recommend to anyone liking this type of chicken. I can walk to this place so maybe when it warms up I can walk over and get lunch or dinner. read more

After reading some of the reviews I was hyped about ordering from here. Unfortunately based on my meal it was overhyped. A positive of sorts, is they messed up to our benefit and gave us a chicken burrito someone else had ordered. As we were home we got to keep it. It was surprisingly a very solid burrito and as good as any you will get from the multitude of burrito places you can hit up. The fries on the other hand were bland and mushy. We ordered the big family meal. The chicken wasn't bad, it was decently moist but feel like the rub they use would have spots where they put way too much and feel like you would get overly salty bites as a result. The sides were mostly a miss. Fried rice had a bit of a weird taste to it and would not order again. Plantains were decent at best. The fried yucca was terrible, especially when I just had some good ones recently at another spot. Pieces were all over the place in size, but most were way too large to fry up properly. Texture was terrible as a result. We ordered coleslaw, but what they give you is not coleslaw, it is pasta salad. It wasn't bad, but not what I was expecting and not what I wanted. Overall the meal was just okay. Nothing stood out and really do not think this place is any better than similar spots you can eat at. About the only thing I think was worth getting again would be the burrito. If the sides were less of a miss I would probably order chicken from them again, but for that type of food I would rather order from elsewhere. read more

I've been there many times and even used them to cater in the past, but this is the last. They have the nerve to charge a quarter per extra sauce. First off they cut down on the amount of sauce they usually give to force you to buy. I don't like these shady practice of these local establishments. This is why small business will continue to struggle during these hard times cause people like me remember these tactics which prompt me to sever all ties. Shame on your management. Love Super Chicken in general. Love that this location is right around the corner from where I live! Their chicken is good, nice and juicy and flavorful. Love their plantains and black beans. Their fries are good too, but most often I have had them under the Pollo Sautado, which wasn't a dish I was familiar with before eating it at this restaurant. They had just opened this location before Coronavirus showed its ugly face, so they were having trouble staying in business throughout. I helped them as much as I could with a larger than normal tip and weekly visits. Food and service are excellent. It's super, I always go here when I have my fried Yuca cravings. I just recently tried their burrito and I think that might be my go to from now. Super Chicken's chicken really is fantastic... or dare I say, super? All jokes aside, their chicken is actually amazing. It is so flavorful and cooked just right, perfectly tender and not dry at all. A lot of their sides, such as their yucca fries and plantains, are also delicious; some of their other sides like the rice or mixed veggies were definitely a pass for me. If you're not in the mood for just chicken, I'd highly recommend their quesadillas which are filling and packed with flavor. I will say the quesadilla and several of the sides tend to be very oily, however, which I don't love. Have yet to try any of their desserts! read more

Super Chicken!!!! Okay, so, Super Chicken is my favorite Peruvian chicken place around, and that's saying a lot because I really like Chicken Rico in Herndon. Their chicken is awesome and they offer a lot of variety as well. My favorite is actually the asado sub, because the beef just melts in your mouth. Beef and sweet potato sounded like an odd combination to me, but it tastes amazing. The slight sweetness of the potato with the savory beef makes for a great sandwich. Their sides are also good. I like that they have dessert, I've had their tres leches and would totally get that again. I would say the only downside is that their burritos aren't very good. I think it just had too much rice and didn't really have much flavor. But you probably didn't go there to get a burrito, so just stick with their chicken and subs. read more

I used to go to the one in Tysons pretty frequently, and this location is also very good! I usually get a half chicken and mix up the sides. The chicken is sooo moist and delicious. I love getting mashed potatoes but they are either always out of them or don't sell them at this location. The fried plantains are yummy, not too starchy. The salad dressing is fantastic! Glad this place opened! I've always gone to the Super Chicken in Tysons while at work for lunch, so it's really nice to have one at home. The half chicken meal was perfect. The chicken was tender and juicy not dry like another Peruvian chicken place nearby. All of the sides looked fresh. I really liked that you can fill your own sauces. This makes it much easier to mix the green and yellow in 1 container. Overall the restaurant was clean and all of the employees were nice. Huge fan of Super Chicken and I'm glad they made it out to Reston. Their yellow and green sauce are on tap next to the beverage machine - game changer! Chicken is consistently season perfectly, skin is nice and crispy, and meat is tender and juicy. Yucca and plantains are awesome as well.
