Plantains were phenomenal and yucca were crispy but a little dry. All in all, it was a great meal that I really enjoyed and I'll be stopping back if I'm craving it again. I can't believe it took me so long to eat here. My friend and I had some errands to run and decided eating first would be best. Although there a a few locations, they said this was the best one. Yuca is a bit dry and plantains are plantains... can never go wrong frying em, the greasier the better. I love the onion salad, it's nothing but thinly sliced raw onions with diced tomatoes, herbs and a lemon dressing. But surprisingly very tasty and the freshness adds balance to the rest of the meal. Although I left with an appetite extremely sated, my pocket was complaining. Close to 20 for lunch was a bit much for my daily budget so I try not to make a pit stop often. read more

Tables have a nice wooden-tan feel that occasionally get dirty, but they seem to come around every once in a while to clean them and wipe them down. Now to the import, the chicken, the sauces, the yucca. Chicken: Girl (or boy), you know they've done something right when that chicken breast is moist and succulent, just how God intended. Well seasoned like a Peruvian chicken should, and a nice hint of smokiness that appeals directly to that lumber-sexual man in me, hiding, somewhere. Wait, what?? Sauces: Your standard affair, well done. The green sauce could be a little more spicy, but the consistency was good. I hate, absolutely loathe, when that green sauce is drippy like that leaky faucet that you just want to shut up. The yellow sauce was on the thicker side, but taste still on point. Yucca: When it's fresh out-a-duh-fryer, it's like all the stars in universe aligned and yuccas are exploding in your brain. It's just that good. That said, I don't think I got freshly fried yuccas, as they were just sitting there in their pan, but definitely still passed the bar for me. Nice crisp texture on the outside, maybe a subtle buttery taste, and then just that *give* as you bite down. Some of the larger pieces were a bit more dry. All that said, price-wise it is a little on the higher end, maybe a dollar or so. It's hard to complain though, as you're getting top notch. TL;DR: Probably the best Peruvian Chicken in the area. It comes with the yellow mustardy mayo and the green spicy jalepeno dipping sauces. They both go well with chicken, yucca and fries. Today I ordered the lomo saltado... well actually my latino coworker ordered it for me in spanish. The beef was tender and well flavored, this dish was awesome. I had to try Super Chicken based on what people said about in the area, but I knew the Manassas location wasn't very good, so I was leery about giving this one a go. Glad I did. The restaurant is really clean, and quite spacious too. I got myself a 1/2 chicken with plaintains, black beans, and horchata. Chicken is, well, "super". Excellent amount of seasonings and a perfect amount of tenderness that makes it easy to eat. It's a nice portion and the staff did an excellent job of hacking the bird to ensure everything was made properly. I will definitely get it again. The plaintains however were okay. They tasted burnt, and when they were not burnt, they were hot, and not in spicy. That ruined it for me. I couldn't finish all of them which is disappointing because of the need for potassium. Oh well. The black beans were excellent. Meaty and plentiful. Don't miss these. The horchata is also very good. Rich in vanilla and cinnamon, it is really good, but I would advise against it only because of the consistency of milk in it, and as a result did not end well for me when I got home. Next time I think I'll just stick with the water. It helps if you know Spanish. All of the employees speak it, and it will also create for a better experience if you can understand what they are saying and know some of the words. A lot of the joints are like that, but this one I feel moreso because of the people ordering in Spanish ahead of me, so it basically told me I had to do so as well. You're probably thinking that if you've had one Peruvian style rotisserie chicken then you've had them all. Tasty in its own way the portion was smaller than some other establishments. Good variety of sides and I really like the coleslaw. I'm selective and when you have the side items on display they should look fresh, tended to and not the last of the last with some cantankerous employee refusing to replenish it until you get the last of the dried out portion. Simple drink menu, spacious dining area w/booths and traditional table seating. Limited bathrooms (1 for him and 1 for her). Parking is what it is for a shopping area parking lot. We were in the area and in the mood for chicken so away we went! First of all, I like that you get to see what's going down with your food. It's right there in front of you. Think....... Boston Market. But it's Peruvian chicken. (They do have a rotisserie in the back, too!) (Actually, if they want to franchise, they should just buy out failing Boston Market stores.) Lots of sides. SO many sides, it was hard to choose. ALSO, they had a lovely-looking ceviche that I turned down for chicken but okay let's talk about chicken. The chicken was SO well seasoned and really just... ugh, it was so tasty. I opened the sauces preemptively because I'm just so used to dipping my chicken in sauce. (I get a lot of joy from dipping food in sauce, okay? Is that SO strange?) It was EXTREMELY well seasoned. Maybe even slightly over seasoned, but I really wasn't complaining. So full of flavor just bursting forth and it was so juicy oh man. Plus, a whole chicken with 2 sides at $17.50 is a good price.
