When they are serving the food, they're very impatient and eager to see customers out the door. I usually get something wrong with my order because they misunderstood what I'm asking for and in a hurry to get the line moving when there are a lot of customers. When there isn't a line, nobody wants to serve or help you out. It gets frustrating. Super Chicken is a healthy, (sometimes) quick, and inexpensive food option in Tysons. Even when you agree to pay it they are stingy with how many extra sauces they give you. In my mind I'm always like, "It's okay sir, just give me the extra sauce. I think I can handle an extra $.50 on my bill." When I order on DoorDash they never give me the extra sauce that I ask/pay for. Maybe there is a sauce shortage over at the Super Chicken headquarters. Love this restaurant that is super close to the Greensboro metro. Then again, most places that serve Peruvian chicken do well. The meat is tender and flavorful and the sides are plentiful. I didn't really like the cashier much but found the other workers very friendly and attentive as they doled out our requested sides of yucca, mashed potatoes, and chickpeas. I forgot what the last side was. I wish they had given more sauces but the chicken really is good without them. We ended up eating about half and taking the other half to go. When we were there, they still had plastic cups for us to put water in. They also had plates, but halfway through our meal, they ran out, and items did not look to be restocked. I finally decided to try it a couple weeks ago and oh my.. why did I wait so long to come here! I love Peruvian style chicken and this did not disappoint. I always get the quarter chicken (dark meat) platter with fried rice and yucca. The way they marinate their chicken is just *mwah* chef's kiss. Combined with the rice and yucca?? The most filling and yummy lunch. The price is also very reasonable-- it's $9 including tax for the platter that I get. My only very minor issue is that you don't get much sauce at all. Although it was crowded, Super Chicken is very spacious, and the line moved relatively quickly to order food. You could get charcoal chicken, family platters, wraps, sandwiches, and more. I went with the Pollo Saltado during my most recent visit. It was boneless chicken already sliced, along with sautéed onions, tomatoes, soy sauce, and onions served over rice and french fries. Very tasty and quite a big portion. I didn't realized the chicken was going to be already cut, as I thought I was going to get a full chicken bread. With that said, I still enjoyed it. They didn't over-do it with the soy sauce, and all the ingredients together made sense. One recommendation I would have for them is they should clearly indicate on the menu what is boneless chicken and what is on the bone. I'm not a big fan of chicken on the bone, so those details help. My friend ordered the Pollo Parrillero which is half chicken with two sides. The half chicken is boneless, but that came as a little surprise. The chicken is nicely seasoned and roasted in a rotating oven/fire. It was a little dry at some parts but overall nice flavor. The sides were a bit of a disappointment. We were lucky we got fresh yucca but the other sides didn't look as appetizing. We ended up getting white rice with veggies and the pasta salad. Both were okay-good. The white rice was good with the green sauce mixed in. Overall a pretty good Peruvian chicken place in Tysons. The inside has changed drastically from what I've remembered driving past it. They have hung their name in lights on the wall and they have also changed the design of their menu. I believe the prices have gotten more expensive, but I wasn't sure what the difference was the last time I was here. My boyfriend and I both ordered 1/4 White Meat Chicken with 2 sides ($8.49) and a fountain drink ($1.99). The total cost ended up to be a little over $22. That's not a bad price between the both of us. Since we came at rush hour, so my boyfriend had to wait for a while to get his side of fries. The food was super delicious. The chicken also comes with two sauces - a yellow mayo-ish type sauce and a green spicier sauce. Both complemented the chicken well! The sides that I got, the fried rice and chickpeas, weren't anything special, but did the trick in filling me up. The seating and the counter are pretty nice inside, but the food is still reasonable which is good. Super Chicken is in a good location across from the Greensboro metro and it seems like a solid place for the work crowd during lunch. They have a big rotisserie setup with charcoal, so imagine tasty seasonings, a super crispy skin and drippingly juicy rotisserie chicken, with a natural back yard charcoal flavor! Sadly the Lomo Saltado didn't live up to the one in Wynwood I've been trying to find a replacement for. The chicken here is delicious and they have generous portions for the price. They have a lot of different options for chicken: quarter chicken, half chicken, whole chicken, white meat, dark meat. And you can get it with sides or without. Some of the side options include chickpeas, yuca fries, regular fries, beans, salads (shredded lettuce or coleslaw) They also have other traditional Peruvian dishes, burritos, and quesadillas. I got a 1/4 chicken with yuca fries and steamed vegetables. The chicken was really moist and tender, and seasoned well, and the skin was crispy - definitely one of the better rotisserie chickens I've had. I've had a lot of pollo a la brasa in Peru, and this is up there with authentic chicken that I've had in Peru. The yuca fries were also delicious and fresh out of the fryer, and some of the best I've had. The only disappointing thing was the steamed vegetables, although I didn't have high expectations for these anyways. They tasted like overly cooked frozen vegetables, and they were super soggy and didn't have a ton of flavor. I'll try something different next time. They do give you 2 different sauces (a green one and a yellow one) that are both delicious with the chicken and the yuca fries. The serving size is tiny though, and if you want more sauce you have to pay 25 cents extra. Overall, I'd definitely come back here again if I was in the area. There's a decent amount of parking. It's in the same shopping center as Pier 1 and Home Goods.
