Five piece tenders tossed in Nashville hot with fries

Super Chix, never disappoints. Every time I have eaten there, I have enjoyed the food. It is set up almost like a quick service restaurant, but with a full service feel. They have multiple employees delivering food to your table as well as making sure that the site stays exceptionally clean. The only thing I would caution people is when I got my tenders tossed in Nashville hot there was a lot of sauce that kind of took away from the chicken that is always very good. So my recommendation would be to order it on the side and put as much as you would like on each tender. The only other issue that people could have is that Sunday after church it was very busy and the restaurant is very loud, but please do not let that be the reason that you do not try super chicks in Hoover.

I live in Charlotte so I was completely shock to see a Super Chix here in town and I've already stopped and got food to eat but I said screw that and came here to grab me something to eat as they have the best chicken sandwich in all of Charlotte so I had to get me one while I was in Birmingham. SO HAPPY to see it here.

My oh my, the best customer service EVER!! Let me begin with the fact that I've never been here before. I met a group of ladies there for lunch with little expectations for service or food. Immediately upon entering, I was greeted with a sense of excitement. Looking around, I didn't see any uncleaned tables, surprising! I followed the path of placing my order by looking at the large menu on the wall, simple, right? Yes. Chicken, chicken chicken. I'm not a meat eater but salads were available for us non meat eaters. My order was placed and I was given a stand with a number and told that my food would be brought to my table. Easy leash. Picked up my drink, sat with my group and began to fellowship. My food was brought to the table and we were given so much attention. Our cups were refilled as often as needed. The prices were reasonable, the food was tasty, indoor/outdoor seating available, family friendly and fun! I would go back!

Good sammich, breading was made better than other chicken sammiches. Tasted fresh, photo speaks for itself.

Went here with some co workers while in town for training. I had never heard of this place, closest thing we have at home would be chick-fil-a or Houston Hot Chicken I think it's called? I'm usually pretty picky that the lords chicken (chick-fil-a) is the only good chicken. Most other places I've been the chicken is bland. This place was amazing. I got the Nashville hot sandwich with fried chicken. It was appropriately hot, won't burn your face off but actually has some heat to it. The fries were amazing and all the sauces I tried were great. The buffalo, Nashville hot and their house sauce were all amazing. The restaurant was clean and plenty of seating for our large-ish group. As with everywhere I've been here in Alabama the service was top notch, everyone is so polite! Definitely a good chicken sammich, I might have to go again while I'm in town.

I want to preface this review by noting that this is my first 1-star review. I am usually very satisfied with the food quality and service at most restaurants, but today's service was really appalling. Super Chix wasn't my first option tonight but this shopping center was busy and this restaurant seemed like a good next option. Personally, I have found most of their sandwiches here to be super greasy, so I opted for a salad and shared some fries with friends. I ordered the house salad and added grilled chicken. When I was ordering, the cashier verified my order with me *twice* to make sure that everything was correct. The salad came out almost immediately after I ordered, and I noticed that there wasn't any chicken on it. No big deal; I informed the server of the absence of chicken. The server seemed confused, brought another worker over, and then told me that I didn't actually order any chicken. Weird... I remember the cashier verified the order with me twice, both times in which the salad did have chicken. The server brought the salad back to the kitchen, then brought it back out with a grilled chicken filet. But it's not over... The other worker who was brought in decided to print out two different receipts to show me the price difference between a salad with chicken and a salad without chicken. He wanted to know which of those receipts most resembled my total. At this point, we've come to the conclusion that the worker must have incorrectly rung me up. To amend the cashier's mistake, the worker asked me to come to the front so he could charge me $4.50 for a grilled chicken filet. Worried that I was being a "Karen", I thought this over and felt that I shouldn't have to pay for a mistake that I did not make. I politely told the worker that I don't think it's my responsibility to pay for that since the cashier double-checked the order but it was still somehow incorrect. Alas, he disagreed. This problem was not going to be ignored and I must be the one to pay for it. So, I obliged (but I didn't really have an option, no?). This was a painstaking long process to get a chicken filet. ALSO... I checked online and the salad is supposed to come with you're choice of either a grilled or fired chicken filet. I genuinely do not understand why I had to pay for an additional filet. In this case, I have now paid for two filets and received one. TLDR: customer service was pretty disappointing, the food is decent. *I also work in the food industry and I wouldn't treat a customer like that, regardless of who is "right" or "wrong".

Chicken Cordon Bleu sandwich at Super Chix Hoover.

FAST service. If you are on the run and need a quick yummy meal, stop here. From order to delivery to my table it was seven minutes. I kid you not. I got the Chicken Cordon Bleu. Never frozen, breaded, crispy fried chicken breast with two slices of melted Swiss and what looked to be two ounces of ham. The building is modern, cheery yellow awnings and accents, and very clean. While I ate my sandwich, a family with young children left, and the staff immediately cleaned the area where they had sat, and cleaned the high chairs. I've never seen brooms, cloths and spray come out so quickly. I didn't look at their rating, but it must be high. Worth the stop!

With only one other Super Chix off 280, this Super Chix is in the popular Stadium Trace Village shopping center. Right across the street from Aldis and next to "arriving soon" 5 Guys (used to be a Mooyah), this SC is right on the corner and sees lots of traffic. There's very limited parking in the front, but just go around back and there's a large parking lot available. There's limited seating outside, but the interior is packed with table & chairs and booths. Tonight was a hump day Wednesday night and it was packed. But there was actually no one in line to order their food. Rachel got the chicken tenders. Delicious. Matthew tried the feature Korean BBQ chicken sandwich. It definitely had a Korean BBQ flavor and was spicy. Delicious. Tammy got the Bacavo Ranch sandwich. Her grilled chicken was served with bacon, avocado, lettuce, tomato and topped with buttermilk ranch. Yom Yom delicious. I got the Nashville Hot salad. Perfectly fried tenders laid on top of a bed of lettuce, Gouda cheese, tomatoes, fresno peppers, buttermilk ranch. My fried chicken tenders were tossed with Nashville and boy did I feel it! My tongue and lips were burning. Hot but delicious. Their official name is Super Chix Chicken & Custard. Besides chicken, their menu includes Premium Frozen Custards: vanilla, dutch chocolate and flavor of the week. Today it was Oreo Cheesecake. I tried a single scoop of the oreo cheesecake and it was so good! There are also hand spun shakes: vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, mint, cookies n cream and a flavor of the week. Lastly they have Cold Fusions. Thicker than a shake, it's their custard blended with reeses peanut butter cups, mint oreo cookies or M&Ms and pretzels. All good reasons to return and try these. Chicken and custard... what a great idea. Oh it was a Wednesday night and customers were playing trivia with most of the customers playing... Cool!

This spot is near my doctors office and they smell soooo good every time I'm here the hubs had an appointment and we were starving afterwards he got the chicken cordon bleu & I got the bacavo sandwich both with fries my husband thoroughly enjoyed his & I wish I could say the same mine wasn't bad I think my chicken wasn't the freshest so there was more crunchy skin than meat plus the crispy bacon it was like a crunch fest in my mouth the ranch dressing was top tier so I think I'll try the salad if we come back but overall it's a cute spot if you love all things chicken great customer service

I think Chick-fil-A is found their competition. The cheesy chicken sandwich was larger than the Chick-fil-A, had better taste, and the bun was like a Hawaiian roll. The small fries were hot and plenty of them, enough to share. In addition to that, they have amazing customer service. What's not to like!

There has been a lot made of the chicken sandwich wars but I never heard anyone mention Super Chix. Why not?!? They are a worthy contender. This is a small up and coming chain that focus on execution. I had the Korean bbq chicken sandwich and my date had the tenders. We split an order of scratch made cheese fries. The sandwich was a big breast breaded then coated in the spicy and flavorful bbq sauce, then topped with coke slaw. It was a mess but so freaking good! The tenders are made from tenderloin pieces and I really dig the batter. They have 7 different sauces, like Nashville hot and classics like honey mustard. The fries were good, thin and crispy. They offer 4 different flavor shakes for the fries. We did the rosemary red pepper. Add that with the cheese sauce and they were quite good. Can't wait to go back. read more

Came here for the first time recently and was blown away by the food! I got the grilled chicken sandwich and ordered fries too. All of it was wonderful. There are a variety of sauces but I got the signature sauce. There is a great patio available as well as ample indoor seating. I'm sure I'll be back. read more

I found Super Chix on the Yelp app (not a surprise). I got the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich and it lives up to its name lol. Also I got so Cajun fries with my order with the Strawberry cheesecake milkshake they were pretty good the only thing I say about the Nashville Hot is that every time you bite into it gets hotter and I would recommend drinking something after the first bite to taste the sandwich better. This is a really great place! The Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich was delicious and the servers were nice! The tenders were crispy and juicy and I really like how you can get your own sauces! :) (for those who are going with 4-3 people we recovered to get 6 regular tenders and put them in the middle so you can customize your tender with your fav sauce. The fries were well seasoned as-well! Would definitely recommend to anyone who's up for some tasty chicken and fries + etc! We didn't try the shakes but one of the people at our table got the avacado sandwich, which she wasn't a big fan of. But over all this place is really awesome!! read more

My husband and I love Super Chix. Not only is the food great taste and portion wise, but the staff is attentive. Each and every person there cares if you have a good experience there and takes care of you as if they were your waiter. On our most recent visit Kelvin helped us. At a table that, at most restaurants, you would be forgotten Kelvin made sure that all of our needs were taken care of. He was happy and full of energy which made us smile. When we got up to leave he even mentioned that he hoped he was working the next time we were there. While restaurants are known for their food it is employees that make places memorable. Great restaurant! I highly recommend it. read more

I've ordered through door dash and been inside this restaurant. Last visit was through DoorDash. I usually get the Buffalo Chicken salad, and I must say it is delicious. The last time I got the Reese's Peanut Butter Cup cold fusion, and it was soooo good! I highly recommend it! Lots of Reese's cups in it and the frozen custard it's made with makes it the perfect combo! I've never had anything bad here. read more

Well, just to start off this is a sister company to Kentucky fried chicken and although the chicken does taste good it's a bit on the pricey side. If you want good fries... Don't look here because they are typically soggy with grease. Best fries in town go to Johnny Bruscoes and Jack's. Yep this place has a lot of sauces to choose from and honestly it looks like somebody just got happy making lots of sauces... It's almost like the main company here is beating a dead horse trying to sell chicken that is no better than the chicken they are already preparing in their other stores. While you might enjoy the atmosphere, I bet that enjoying the food is going to be a little bit more difficult especially in the digestion phase. read more

I don't believe I have ever experienced better customer service in my life. The crew are happy and smiling and incredibly helpful. One just saw me make a small mess and without me even asking grabbed a handful of napkins and dropped them off at my table. As I'm typing this a guy came over and asked if I wanted a refill. This isn't a full service style restaurant. It's an order at the counter and sit down type of place but the staff is incredible. YUM! I love Super Chix and I don't even eat chicken. I get the crispy avo sandwich with slaw and it is amazing. Loaded Cajun fries too... delicious. My husband and kids eat the chicken and say it's good too, but whatever. That fried avocado keeps me going back. The staff is also very friendly and service is great. read more

Well well well! I'm not usually a fan of all things chicken but imma tell ya, this place does chicken as well as, dare I say it, Chick-fil-A! I only eat Jesus Chicken sandwiches. I don't really care for sandwiches of any kind, if I'm being honest. A friend invited me and this was where she wanted to go so I went. I'm so glad I did!! Not only was the place super clean, the staff was very helpful and probably more energetic than the law should allow (lol) but my chicken sandwich was incredible!! If you've read any of my other reviews, you know that I don't care for any condiments on my food so I always ask for them on the side. Sometimes people huff about it but most of the time, they're cool! This place was happy to put my Mayo and aïoli on the side. I just told you that the chicken sandwich was incredible but let's talk about the fries! There were a million of them, appeared homemade, shoestring fries everywhere! They were so good!!! I'll definitely return with my chicken only eating daughter! Oh and they have many different flavors that you can have your chicken "rolled" in. They have too many salads and other things to list here. Oh and custard... I didn't but I plan to!! You should too!! Peace out!! read more

Upon entering Super Chix, you're greeted with friendly staff in an eclectic atmosphere and neat color scheme. I ordered the House Salad and fries and my salad was the best I have ever had. Your taste buds are caressed with the coalescing of the grilled chicken and Fresno peppers, and the gouda cheese. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to eat healthy but also indulge in themselves a bit! read more

Pretty solid little chicken joint. Workers are teenage goofs who don't really know how to serve anyone or act out customer service. Probably need some training. Food options are limited and the fries are a bit dry, seem like they are from frozen, never perfect. You will always have fries left over since they aren't that good and get cold quickly. Chicken is pretty good with a repeatable flavor etc. Decent spot. read more

Went there for the first time today, loved the food and the service was over the top. The manager was out on the floor greeting everyone and helping the wait staff, the staff was constantly moving and asking if we needed anything. The food was delicious and brought to our table very quickly after we ordered and were seated. This place is definitely worth a trip and for us a return trip. read more

Their Buffalo chicken tender Texas toast sandwich was amazing. I ordered the large fries for just me (never been here before) and the quantity was way too much. Small would have been perfect. The fries were also very good. The staff was very friendly and provided great service. I would recommend this place to anyone that wants a good fried chicken sandwich. They also have healthier options but I needed a gut buster meal that day. read more

Nearly everything on the menu looked satisfying from there salads to there many combinations of fries. I went in and the only employee properly wearing a face mask was the gentleman that greeted me as I walked in. As I approached the register another person was walking around the counter to get ready to take my order. He made a move to pull his mask up from around his chin (which is how he and the rest of the employees were wearing their masks), but apparently decided against it. Noting this, I stayed several feet back from the counter as I placed my order. I asked him if he or the person/people preparing my food usually wear a mask, and he said "no, not really. not anymore". Right. There's also plexiglass at the register, but the way the payment kiosk is angled (and the way he leans around it while speaking), it doesn't really render it purposeful. I placed my order for a grilled chicken Korean barbecue sandwich and fries. (Side note: If one is wearing gloves but doesn't change the gloves when switching activities, the gloves are not serving their purpose.) I got my number and thought it best to wait outside for my order. The food came out pretty quickly- delivered by a properly masked employee, no less! Unfortunately when I got to the car I discovered that my order was incorrect. I decided it was not worth venturing back inside. I'll still give this place two stars because but for the procedural disregard for pandemic precautions, the location appeared to be otherwise sanitary. Also, the fried chicken sandwich that I did not order turned out be pretty good! read more

My wife and I went to another restaurant nearby and did not feel comfortable as we were waiting for a table, observing the lack of social distancing practices going on. We then decided to leave and came here instead. We were greeted warmly by someone who was wearing a mask and the whole experience was wonderful. The staff is very positive and polite, led by George, the manager. Customer service is excellent. Food is great. If you are wanting to go somewhere to eat some great food during this pandemic and feel safe the entire time, look no further. This is the place! read more

After the meal, my husband went up to get the custard that comes with the kids meal and a cookies and cream concrete-- why does that take almost 10minutes to make?

Super Chix really blew my mind when I visited the first time. The menu is clean but not small in any sense. Plenty of choices for entrees, and when ordering your fries you can choose how you'd like them seasoned; Salt, Sweet, Cajun, or Rosemary Pepper. All of them are amazing. By far my favorite part of the restaurant though is the Sauce Bar. All of the sauces that Super Chix has to offer are available for anyone to serve themselves, along with any other condiments, napkins, forks, and plastic sauce cups. I'm always thankful when a restaurant lets customers get their own sauces/drinks/condiments without needing to ask the cashier to get them. read more

This was our first time here and the cashier (really wish I got his name) was so patient, answered every question and gave his opinions. My girlfriend and I love super chix. We usually get 5 tenders and 2 sides of fries to split. Great service and food here. Pro tip - order a side of queso for your fries.
