In humid and hot Birmingham, this store's AC is very welcoming!! There is plenty of seating, perfect for big groups! They also have really nice bathrooms and it's connected to a bank so it has a vault theme bathroom and it was pretty creative! Their lemonade was refreshing! The fruit salad is refreshing and they give a good amount of fruit! The chicken sandwich was good too, I really liked the bread!

Service is always great, food as well but this last visit today(12-16-2024) I was very displeased and disappointed in the quality of my salad. Salads should always be fresh because a salad that is going bad could real make a person sick and that could lead to alot of things. I will be posting a few pics of my salad because I need management to know that was by far the worst salad ever and the only reason for me not bring it back is because I ordered income and picked it up for my lunch break. I'm giving 1 star today because I know this place is so much better than this. I'm a frequent visitor of this location ,just like last week me and my boyfriend ate there for lunch, but today I'm very upset

Pretty good little walk up and order place. Not overly loud and plenty of seating. I got the Buffalo chicken wrap and salad- it was pretty good, not amazing but good, and my hubby got the white bbq chicken sandwich and thought it was good. It was a bit weird when we received our food while dining in all in take out boxes though. We weren't asked if we were taking it out, so I would definitely specify that if I went back.

The ambiance is chill but my food today was horrid! How can you mess up a salad. It looks like it was set out in the sun. Old withered greens and an old taste to match! I will no longer patronize this location because I have received more than one bad lunch!! The service is not great!

My daughter recommended another great spot. This location was very clean. We visited during COVID. The staff was constantly walking around making sure the tables and floor were clean. They even offered to empty your tray if you were finish eating. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We asked several questions since it was our first visit. The cashier answered them all with a smile and provided recommendations. The food was delicious! Every order is made fresh. Our sandwiches were hot and had great flavor. To my surprise, the mac and cheese was really good too. You must check out this location. We will definitely visit again!

Terrible pic but this is the berry salad with shrimp

Came into this location on a whim and we were not disappointed. The customer service was prompt and everyone was so welcoming. I got the berry good salad with shrimp which is always a hit. My favorite aspect is how well the shrimp is seasoned; It's literal perfection! Overall this is a great location to have your first urban cookhouse experience. And remember, always get the skillet cookie!

Any where I can order lunch from an app downtown and walk is a pick deserves 5 stars. Never wait in line if you order thru the app but you can still enjoy outdoor seating after grabbing your food. I normally grab a kids meals as a cost effective lunch plus it comes with a drink.

First visit: I actually loved the food! I ordered the cookhouse/cookout wrap (Bacon, avocado, lettuce). It was so good. For my side I had roasted veggies (Broccoli, zucchini, squash, cauliflower,). The service was fast (Not sure if this was due to it being a holiday, MLK Day). However, the staff was friendly; they greeted us from the door to our departure. I will definitely return if schedule permits.

Parking often deters me but after attending the Italian Festival earlier that day, we had a craving for pizza. I ordered the combo that includes 2 slices of the day with salad. Since I wasn't overly hungry, I offered him one of my slices and he added another slice to the order. We paid and were given a number to place on our selected table. Jazzy music played in the background while we waited on our order to be brought to the table. The natural lighting, while beautiful, made it a little warm in the building. One of the waitresses propped the door open that leads to the restrooms (which are in the hallway near the elevators) in order for cooler air to make its way in. That wasn't a deal breaker, but do be aware of that on warmer days. Our food came out after a short wait. I kept my 3 cheese slice, and gave him the pepperoni one. The cheeses were very rich and the salad, while simple without the frills, was perfectly sized and drizzled with a balsamic vinaigrette that was just the right amount. While I enjoyed my meal very much and the ambiance, he wasn't overly impressed with his. He didn't want the fresh herbs on his slices and knocked all of them off, lol. He's a simple guy with simple taste. This is definitely a place I will be revisiting with one of my girlfriends and not him next time as he didn't appreciate what ZaZA had to offer. Everyone we encountered was helpful and courteous. Our food, including drinks, was around $28, which was not bad for a cute, eclectic spot downtown. If you haven't been, make sure to try them out soon. Just don't wait as long as I did to visit!

Soon as you walk in, you see packaged desserts in both full cakes and slices. They had several King Cakes, so we immediately decided to split a slice. Decided that first before what we're actually eating. #priorities Last time I ate here, I got the Chicken Quesadilla and it was so good. But a couple of my coworkers got the Marilyn Monroe, a sandwich with "turkey, pepperoni, mozzarella & marinara sauce on cheddar bread". So I went with that this time, same as my coworker. Concept here is that you order at the counter, they give you a number to display on your table, then another server will bring your order. Service was fast. The sandwich looked a bit small at first, but it was stacked with turkey and pepperoni, so the portion size was actually just right. It comes with marinara sauce on the side for dipping, which is good, because it keeps the sandwich from being too messy, but it was a bit odd because it was cold, in combination with the warm sandwich. I kinda wish the sauce had been warmer. It comes with a bag of chips and your choice of another side, which I chose fruit. I don't care for melon, so I picked around that and ate the grapes out. Next time I might get another side. And finally... it was King Cake time. We had picked a cream cheese slice and it was SO good. Had a cinnamon taste mixed in, but to be fair, this was my first King Cake so I actually have no idea what to compare it to. This dessert made me so happy. Two things I need to figure out: why is this sandwich called the Marilyn Monroe and when can we eat here again.

I usually pair it with their French fries because I can't resist the crispy, golden texture. Excellent service and dining experience. Great spot for business dinners or lunch with friends. I've tried looking at their vegetarian options too, and while I don't usually get them, I think they have some solid choices. The potatoes went much quicker than the rice; I had the potatoes and they were fantastic. There was also a tray of chocolate chip cookies provided. I don't think they were frash made; they looked similar to other restaurants generic chocolate chip cookies. They were a nice addition to the lunch, though. They also provided sweet and unsweet tea in gallon jugs.

But we'd spent the day at McWane Center and we were starving so we were there to EAT! The food looked gorgeous but it tasted very meh. The onion rings had too much breading on them, which I didn't think was possible, but here we are. The part of the breading next to the onion was mushy so that threw off the texture of the whole thing too. The burger was very much like a Whataburger. Even the lettuce smelled the same. I got The Standard and the bun of the burger was a little mushy (similar to Whataburger) and there was not much meat. For an $11 burger, I'm expecting more than a Whataburger. My middle kid likes everything on her burger and isn't picky at all and the loaded kid burger looked impressive but it was about the same as mine. Not awful, but not very good either. Very close to the same amount of meat. She's the queen of the Clean Plate Club and she only ate half.
