2 eggs over easy, sliced turkey, wheat toast and tomato gravy and biscuit. Unsweetened tea.

When I checked into my hotel. I noticed this place across the street. Turned out to be a great choice. I walked in and was quickly seated. Katlyn arrived asking if I had been here before. She told me to look over the menu and ask if I had any special requests. She soon returned with my unsweetened tea and prepared to take my order. I settled on 2 eggs over easy, sliced turkey ,toast . I also chose to add a side of tomato gravy and biscuit. The eggs were perfect. The turkey was thinly sliced. You could almost say it was of the lunch meat consistency. However it was still great. The tomato gravy was great. The quality of the food over all turned out to be a great choice. If I'm ever in the area again. I will be back.

Convenient location, this relatively new chain is very popular. From the simple decor, service, and attention to detail, this casual "breakfast" place is a big step above the places that I typically consider for breakfast (IHOP, Waffle House, Cracker Barrel). The menu is quite extensive. It includes every combination of eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, etc. that you could image. I went for lunch, and discovered there is a very nice lunch menu. I had the Chicken Caesar salad and was happy that I could get it with fried chicken. I liked that they didn't put too much dressing on the salad. i asked for additional side of dressing so I could get the ratio just the way I like it.

I'm a big fan of Big Bad Breakfast. I've been to the one in Mobile, Florence and Homewood. I'm glad that the Vestavia one is in my backyard. When I first saw it being built, I was worried because it looked like a small building with not a lot of parking. I was wrong! The inside is bigger than it looks, and when we arrived there were several available parking spaces. The service was amazing!! Our waiter, Patrick, was very attentive and was able to handle everyone at the bar. I'm glad there was a bar option because we didn't have to wait for a table wait. The table wait was 20 to 30 minutes. I ordered the Breakfast Plate and chose scrambled eggs, bacon, and a biscuit with a side of fruit. Everything was really good! I love their biscuits and I was glad that the fruit cup included blueberries, strawberries and watermelon.

BBB did it right again. My only complaints are the entrance/exit to the actual lot and that there is not signage by the stairs outside that they don't lead to a main door. I parked on that end and did not realize until I walked up. My sister and I were meeting around 7a on a week day for a breakfast sister date before work. The restaurant was clean and the staff were ready to serve their customers. The place filled up quite well for it to be so early. I like the look and feel of this location (vibrant and pretty open). Lauren (AGM) is wonderful. I loved her at the 280 location as well. Our server, Ayanna, didn't miss a beat. Food was fresh, delicious and came out quickly. I wouldn't mind stopping back by if in the area again.

The food was great! My friend is vegetarian and appreciates the Impossible food option. Seated quickly and server was attentive. Bathroom was super clean! Parking can be tight during peak hours

A favorite breakfast spot. They can get crowded on the weekends and holidays so check the waitlist before going. The place is always alive and bustling. The Belgian waffles are crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. They also use fresh fruit and whipped cream not fruit compote. The Big Bad Breakfast is a favorite eggs, bacon, potato hash cakes and a biscuit. I like my eggs over easy which they seem to have a hard time cooking because the whites are extremely runny. My theory is that the eggs are straight from the cooler not room temperature and don't get cooked enough. What makes their biscuits great is their homemade jams. I've always had great service and consistently good food.

An amazing recommendation for our post-hike brunch festivities! Big Bad Breakfast, BBB, was phenomenal! We walked in at about 10 and were greeted, seated, and treated right away. The Manmosa, which is mimosa with a shot of vodka, was watery and not worth ordering, but the food was spectacular! I was in the mood for lunch, so decided to go with the Ham Po-Boy which seems lame in comparison to the rest of the menu option, but it was not lame at all. It was perfection. Looking forward to going back in the near future to try some of the actual breakfast menu items. 05-27-2025

I had been to another location before and enjoyed so was pleased to see this brand new location somewhat close to the office. I love brunch & breakfast style foods and it's a nice change of pace from the standard lunch fare. Parking at this location is much better than in Homewood, so it will always be my first choice in the future. Since I was by myself I was able to be seated immediately at the bar area but looked like I could have gotten a table as well. I opted for the "Cathead" Chicken Biscuit that I have gotten before. Crispy fried chicken, cheddar cheese and sausage gravy. Probably should have saved half for another meal but it was just so good I couldn't resist finishing it. Will most definitely be back again soon! Maybe I will convince myself to try some of the many other options that are probably just as tasty.

I was looking for a brunch spot after church and this place popped up in my search engine. So here we go; I arrived on a rainy Sunday afternoon surprisingly, it wasn't crowded. I was able to walk in and after a few minutes of being acknowledged, was finally shown to a seat. I would not say the employees were very friendly, but more or less mindful about doing their job. The place is clean, spacious and great for families. I ordered alacarte, which worked well for me. A crunchy biscuit, 2 hard fried eggs and a small bowl of grits with a cappuccino. The food was ok. I'm not a fan of crunchy biscuits, but to each its own. Lesson learned, manage your expectations when visiting chain restaurants.

This newer location in Vestavia is really loud. Has high ceilings and everything echoes. The service was friendly but very very slow. No refills or check ins. The waiter was a little weird at the end. Didn't give me my card back so I had to ask & he pulled it right out. Just weird. Anyway, the coffee was delicious, the food was mid.

Came here for breakfast and Ian was our waiter and he was very nice and accommodating. The food was very good and seasoned well. Great place for casual dining with a group or solo. Very welcoming atmosphere.

I haven't had their chicken tenders before, but now realize I prefer it over the standard fried chicken solely because the flavor profile is better (more seasoned). I would order this again. Salad for my steak tips was as expected. I also redeemed a birthday reward for the chocolate cake. The bite I took was pretty good and it is easily a sharable portion size. Now for the not so good... My order through metro diners website consisted of steak tips, mash&gravy, garden salad with ranch. I personally would not order this again. Issue: The steak was chewy, flavor was bland and portion size seemed small for the value. My DoorDash order consisted of 1. Bissell breakfast with pancakes, scrambled eggs, cheese grits, bacon and a biscuit. 2. Small sausage gravy side 3. Chicken tenders plate with creole mustard, green beans and French fries. Issue: I quickly glanced through the see through lid of the boxes and noticed toast instead of a biscuit and no container that would have had the cheese grits. Went inside to notify the team and expo of missing items (also brought the bag back in). The expo called for these missing items from the kitchen. The cook glanced and then asked if he had a ticket for that? I managed restaurants for years so I get it when the kitchen asks this, however, the ticket was the one you made incorrectly and the expo did not check for correctness. The expo also stated "it is for a DoorDash order that she said is wrong". I'm happy this was a personal order because I got to see firsthand how it appears DD order issues are dismissed since they seemed to assume I was a driver. At least that is how the short exchange presented. They weren't rude it was the tone and lack of apology for my missing items. Mistakes happen. How you respond to and handle them matters. Fast forward - I get home and realize they must have simply switched my order with someone else's. There were hash browns with cheese and diced tomatoes and scrambled eggs with cheese. Was not my order and could not eat this order. The pancakes were just okay. Tried the sausage gravy with the biscuit. Not something I would get again but this part isn't a reflection of Metro Diner. Ordered this just to try it since many rave about this southern combo. Let's just say there will be more for everyone else to enjoy.

There were so many tempting options that it was honestly hard to decide! I ultimately chose three items and enjoyed a few bites of each. Ham & Fontina Scone: This was my first time trying a scone, and I was pleasantly surprised. The texture reminded me of a dry biscuit, but the ham added a delicious savory flavor that I really enjoyed. Frittata Plate: The frittata was SO good! It wasn't too dry, and all of the flavors worked really well together. It was served with polenta, which reminded me of really fine grits, along with fruit. After trying it, I realized that one entrée would definitely be enough for me to enjoy on its own. Breakfast 'ZA: This was essentially a breakfast pizza topped with a fried egg, and the egg was such a nice touch. The 'ZA itself was really good, although I think adding something similar to a gravy or sauce would make it a little less dry. Even without it, though, the fried egg really took it to another level. Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso: I decided to try the Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso, which was the barista's pick. This was my first time having a shaken espresso, and I'm so glad I gave it a try! It was refreshing and perfect for a hot day. The inside of Trattoria ZaZa is nice, although it is somewhat small, so I opted to sit outside. It was a very warm day, but the awning provided plenty of shade and made the outdoor seating comfortable. I also appreciated that, even though the restaurant doesn't have traditional table service, someone periodically checked on me to make sure I didn't need anything else. Overall, I had a great brunch experience at Trattoria ZaZa. There were plenty of menu options, the food was flavorful, and I really enjoyed trying a few things that were new to me. I'd definitely be open to coming back and trying more of the menu!

We came for dinner before a show down the street at the Lyric. First time here. She had the baked…read moremacaroni and cheese with vegetables added and absolutely loved it. I had the daily special, which was a broken lasagna. Also very, very good. Mixed greens on the side rounded out our table. The pizza looked very good and reminded us of pizza in a shop we love in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. It's walk up service, no ordering from your table, which was fine. The menu has a nice variety. The store is a downtown casual vibe. We probably should've opted for outdoor seating, because the evening was so nice.
