The Three Cheese Chicken Quesadilla was delicious. It has been difficult to find a fully loaded Quesadilla with the right amount of chicken and cheese.... Thanks to the cook... I enjoyed my late lunch. Customer service was very good and patient on my first visit to Urban Cookhouse. The ambiance of this restaurant was calm and relaxed. I will return to this location again.

This is my absolute favorite place to get a salad in Birmingham! Everything is always so fresh & delicious. I love that it is a farm to table restaurant! Try the Berry Good salad with lime marinated steak. You cannot go wrong! I also highly recommend trying the hot cheddar pasta. Classic staples that are hard to beat!

urban cookhouse is a classic restaurant! I popped in with some friends just to have some dessert and was blown away by the polite staff. They were very efficient and nice. I will definitely be back soon to order some of the tasty items that I saw on other people's tables, lol, I look forward to checking out some more items on them menu

My former work place catered in Urban Cookhouse all the time. It was always great food, but sometimes I could get burnt out on their food - we catered it in ALL THE TIME. After all these years, I finally decided to come give their brick and mortar store a try. The store itself is very clean, and the employees were friendly. I got the pork along with two sides of cheddar pasta. I forgot just how cheesy the pasta was! I needed to use some of the BBQ sauce to cut through the cheesiness. But then I didn't have enough BBQ to keep the pork from being too dry. It was a hard choice to make. I would probably try something different next time. My wife and child liked their food.

We were driving through looked at the reviews and stopped here. This place was pretty great. Immediately felt welcome upon arrival, easy to understand pretty quickly that you order at counter and seat yourself. The Mac n cheese was cool and pretty tasteless, the sandwich was great and sauce was so good. Typical broccoli salad

After giving blood and passing out two times immediately after giving blood, I definitely needed a healthy, iron-rich meal. My husband suggested Urban Cookhouse. It was my first time coming to this location and I can now say that his recommendation was spot on. As you walk into this restaurant, there are chairs. I immediately used one to sit down because I still felt a bit woozy. There was a menu so I looked over it and told my husband I wanted the Urban Cowboy. He stood in line to order our food. He decided to get me some broccoli soup to go with my Urban Cowboy sandwich. Let me tell you something, everything was delicious--even their water! The Urban Cowboy sandwich had very flavorful and moist pieces of steak on it. It had carmelized onions and peppers on it as well. The broccoli soup was creamy and good, too. The waitress who brought out our food and cleared our table was really nice. She had a cool tattoo on her arm--stuff like that stands out to me. I'll be back!

I have been a fan of Urban Cookhouse for years and here it is...my Top Ten...a la Letterman style... 10. Friendly greeters, food runners, and cashiers. Few counter service places beat them in these areas. 9. Strawberry Lemonade. It is very good. Get a sample to taste for yourself. 8. Local farmers are always highlighted on the menus. 7. Orange rolls are great with food or for just snacking on when walking around the Summit. 6. Great selection of quick items in the cooler if you are in a super super hurry. 5. Quick service with quality. The food doesnt take much longer than most fast food places but the quality is so much better. 4. Large outside patio area for dining. 3. Several options for seating inside that are somewhat different. Good for groups, a few buddies, or a date night. 2. Broccoli salad. 1. Big Green Egg. All of the meats are smoked on a Big Green Egg! I WILL BE BACK!!!

We started off with the chips and dip because my son had had it the last time he was here which was last weekend. The house chips were very delicious. I didn't catch my server's name, but she was short and had blonde hair and she was attentive. They were still serving brunch, but I decided to get a patty melt while my son got the big green pimp burger. This time we got the salted caramel cookie from cookie fix with some ice cream and brought it home and that was very delicious. The parking is a little tricky. It's a bit steep. They have a small bar area where it looked like there were several regulars there. There were several TVs in there to watch the different games that were on. The only thing I don't like is that there's no coke products they have Pepsi, which I really don't care for Pepsi other than that I think it's a really great place. Very casual.

Lots of cajun, brunch, sandwiches, soups, etc. I came for a late lunch on Saturday with some friends, I wasn't super hungry, but ended up being quite enticed by the menu. I ordered the sausage balls off of their special brunch menu. They were served with what I believe was a cranberry jam and very tasty. I could have done them a little spicier, but that's personal preference. I would definitely get them again. I also ordered a side of the gumbo, which was very good. Very dark roux, very tasty. This place hits the spot and is a great option for a group of all ages, they'd definitely have something to please everybody. Service is good, too. Parking can be a little difficult and it's on a steep hill.

BBB typically works out for us because we tend to order the same thing for most visits. It keeps it easy for us to share things. My sister wanted to go against the grain on our last visit and get the "Redneck Benny". I was not a fan. The biscuit was hard, the hollandaise was flavorless and the ham was so salty (I'm not knocking any points for the ham because ham tends to be salty. They can't control that.) Our bruleed grapefruit was still good, pancake tasted okay, hash cake wasn't crispy. I did still give a 3 because our previous visit was great. This would be the average of my 2 reviews. Unfortunately, I forgot to input the review. We ordered our avocado toast as a split plate, pancake, bruleed grapefruit, hash cake, apple juice, water. No issues for that visit.

We decided to try to Dolly ridge location this Sunday since the one by our house is always packed. We were super disappointed with the food and service. Please bring back writing down orders! We had two different people ask us twice what we ordered right after we ordered it because they didn't write it down. I ordered my usual (the yard work) and it was ENTIRELY spinach. Of course the skillet should have spinach but it's supposed to have other ingredients too! The cappuccino was just hot milk. The only thing that came out right for us was the brûléed grapefruit, it was amazing (per usual).

My wife and I ate at Martin's Bar-B-Que Joint for the first time today, and we have found our new favorite BBQ joint. We enjoy watching Pat Martin's tv show, "Life of Fire," so we came with very high expectations. They surpassed them. When we stepped out of the car the smoke BBQ smell was amazing. I ordered a pulled pork shoulder sandwich and asked them to top it with coleslaw and had a side of mac & cheese and bought a second side, cornbread hoecake. Martha ordered the sliced brisket sandwich with a side of baked beans. I started with the mac & cheese. It was delicious with plenty of cheese and baked to perfection with a crispy cheese top. Really delicious. The cornbread hoecake was incredible it looks like and has the consistency of a pancake. You must order that when you go. Then I picked up the pulled pork shoulder sandwich and sunk my teeth in it. Oh, my! Pulled pork at its best. I added the Jack's Creek vinegar-based sauce to it, and wow, that added even more outstanding flavor to it. I've found my new favorite BBQ sauce. Martha thoroughly enjoyed her sliced brisket sandwich. We both had a bite of each others sandwiches and both were mouth-satisfying delicious. The brisket was perfect. The baked beans were very tasty, too. Everything was about as perfect as you can get at a BBQ joint. Pat Martin knows his BBQ, just as he displays on his show "Life of Fire." Before I could say anything, Martha said, "This is the best BBQ I've ever had. Let's come back for lunch tomorrow." She didn't have to twist my arm. We still like many other delicious BBQ restaurants in Birmingham, and will eat at them again, but Martin's Bar-B-Que Joint is our new favorite. In a city where BBQ is king, Martin's Bar-B-Que Joint sits atop the throne. We returned the next day for lunch. : Martha enjoyed the mouth watering and mouth satisfying Pulled Pork Sandwich topped with coleslaw and deliciously seasoned and crisp homemade chips. I threw down on a half slab of fall off the bone full flavored ribs. I got half of the ribs Memphis dry rub and the other half wet (St. Louis style). They were amazing! My sides were broccoli salad (because I'm a health nut) and homemade fries. And, of course, the delicious cornbread hoecake. We can't wait to come back to B'ham again to try more delicious food here at Martin's Bar-B-Que Joint.

The gentleman working greeted my mom and me right away when we entered the dine in section of the restaurant. They also have a separate section/ bar space for to go orders. I really like this concept! We took a few mins to review the menu. I didn't take long bc I already knew that I wanted ribs. The 4 spare rib tray comes with 2 side. I got baked beans and fries. The sides were okay .. nothing amazing. The dry rub/ sauce ribs had a nice flavor to them. Very tender as well. My mom had the pulled pork tray also with baked beans & fries. She requested her bbq sauce on the side. Their bbq sauce is quite tasty!!!! Drinks had to be purchased separately. I think my mom ordered a Coke and I had a good people pale ale. We dined outside on the back covered patio. It was a beautiful yet kinda windy day. Once our food was brought out , no staff members came to check on us. I felt this was odd , although everyone was nice and welcoming. Idk.. I wasn't too pressed bc I really prefer to be left alone for the most part when I'm out dining. It just would have been pleasant if someone came over at least ONCE! Overall, my 2nd visit here ( my mom's first) was satisfying. I was craving ribs so this definitely hit the spot! She enjoyed her meal. We both needed to go boxes. They have an attached parking lot. It's shared with Bendys and other stores in the area. Parking might be problematic if you visit during a busy time.
