I got the chicken quesadilla and loved that it had white bbq sauce on it! It was hot, fresh, and delicious! I sat in the outside area to enjoy the beautiful weather and even though several other people were out there, it didn't feel like our tables were crowding each other. There was also plenty of room to put my baby's stroller without feeling like it was in the way. I did feel like the meal wasn't a ton of food for the price and I wish it had come with a side. I had the Chipotle Pork with sides of mac and cheese and broccoli salad, and everything was spot on. The pork was tender and flavorful, with just the right amount of kick from the vinegar-based BBQ sauce--not too heavy, just enough to bring out the smoky goodness. It was served with fresh, thick-sliced bread that was perfect for soaking up the sauce. The mac and cheese was creamy and comforting, and the broccoli salad added a fresh, slightly sweet crunch to balance out the plate. My former work place catered in Urban Cookhouse all the time. It was always great food, but sometimes I could get burnt out on their food - we catered it in ALL THE TIME. After all these years, I finally decided to come give their brick and mortar store a try. The store itself is very clean, and the employees were friendly. I got the pork along with two sides of cheddar pasta. I forgot just how cheesy the pasta was! I needed to use some of the BBQ sauce to cut through the cheesiness. But then I didn't have enough BBQ to keep the pork from being too dry. It was a hard choice to make. I would probably try something different next time. My wife and child liked their food. read more

I immediately used one to sit down because I still felt a bit woozy. There was a menu so I looked over it and told my husband I wanted the Urban Cowboy. He stood in line to order our food. He decided to get me some broccoli soup to go with my Urban Cowboy sandwich. Let me tell you something, everything was delicious--even their water! The Urban Cowboy sandwich had very flavorful and moist pieces of steak on it. It had carmelized onions and peppers on it as well. The broccoli soup was creamy and good, too. Well, it is very modern, clean, and an efficiently operating fast casual experience with attentive staff who make sure you're taken care of if you need anything. I ordered the Local Mix Wrap, which had thick pieces of chicken, but not a hearty amount. The bacon was better than some fast food places, but not by very much. The wrap fell apart at the ends with the honey mustard style sauce that permeated throughout. Not a bad wrap, just decent. The broccoli salad is a nice option, with some nuts and grapes interspersed with broccoli and a light, sweet sauce. Probably the highlight. I also ordered the corn chowder, which was mainly green peppers, but the soupy base was tasty at least. If I came again, I would probably splurge for the less "healthy" option and get the much better looking sandwiches and Mac n cheese. read more

The owner was also onsite checking in with customers, serving food, and bussing tables. The staff was working hard but it all ran smooth. Bottom Line: This was an easy five-star review. UC is all about fresh and local ingredients, and it shows because my salad was just gorgeous, both in looks and taste.
