TL;DR - Based on my selection on this run, I was disappointed more than pleasantly surprised. (My review may change after a second run). Disclaimer: I did not sample *everything* here. This is only my review for what I had. Food: (2/5) Hot and Sour Soup - This is my staple appetizer to start with. It looked good but unfortunately it was watery, and a bit more sour than hot. (I'd give it 2/5) Peanut Butter Chicken - This was an unexpected offer, and I tried it out (sorry, no pic of this one). Regrettably, it was stringy, and tough. I could feel the fibers in the meat. (1/5) Butter Potatoes - These were actually fried more than most all you can eat buffets which are typically buttery and soft. Think crispy, like french fries at a fast food place. (5/5) Salmon Nigiri - This looked so tender and tantalizing, but it was a bit chewy and I was sorely disappointed. (3/5) Sauteed Beans and Carrots - This is another staple when I eat at buffets and unfortunately, the carrots still taste raw... (2/5) Chicken Wings - Typically, I *love* buffet wings. These looked like wings from Popeyes, and they were seasoned similarly, but the bones broke off into sharp shards in at least two of the wings I got, and it was chewy not tender. (I gave it a second try and waited for fresh wings, and they were not as brittle or chewy.) (3/5) Service: 4/5 This was a very attentive buffet. The drinks were topped up regularly, and the napkins were given out liberally, top. I really appreciated the service. Ambiance: 3/5 There's a lot of tables here and it's a bit packed. Gave the 2 stars for the host and wait staff. The host sat us down quickly and made sure we had what we needed. Our waiter apologized for the bustling service and we recognized that she ran around, big props to her for doing all this with a smile. It was a Saturday night at about 6:00 and nothing was filled. I was shocked, people actually waited at the buffet tables for the food to come out! A number of us stood there which looked silly. The ladies bringing food out were rude when we asked for more plates and I felt like I was being yelled at by my grandma. Not coming here again. Reopened after 4 years and the interior is exactly the same. ambiance is kinda dim with radio station music. food was as expected from a buffet. i was pleasantly surprised by their sushi selection and large rolls. service was a bit lacking--they took awhile to take our plates away. read more

The Fallout Comics Family and friends, Thanksgiving get together are coming! Again! Thanksgiving day 6PM. 4rth time we've all done this. Hoping they will have chicken and gravy this time. Or stuffing & gravy, biscuits and mashed potatoes and gravy. If 2 of those items get in my belly with gravy on em that night, I'll bump this review to a 5 star review. Its always been OK in the past. But Ive always believed, on days like this, to bring out all the traditional dishes. Big focus on those. But dont mess around with the gravely. The food is mediocre at best. This place was great pre covid which I know wasn't their fault. But now almost all the food they have is just sweetened. Like they just poured sugar in all the hot foods. The service also was ok had to ask for water after they brought the bill before we were done eating. We had been waiting for Super King to open again. However, we had heard that the food was worse than before, the floors were sticky and not to go there. We also heard that the food was tasty, the floors were NOT sticky and the service was fine. We decided to try it for ourselves on Friday, November 3, 2023. We had an open mind and we were actually pleasantly surprised. The place appeared clean, no sticky floors! The service was very attentive as the wait staff took our drink order and came back very quickly. The food was surprising very good! All the food was fresh and good. They kept many of the same items but they also kept the seafood coming and there wasn't any empty food trays for very long. But I have to say, all of the different soups, egg flower, hot and sour, and the seafood soup were all bland. I will skip the soup next time. I was happy that we were able to get the 10% discount for being over 65! We did go on a busy Friday night and everything I had was good and the service was good as they took away our empty plates quickly. I say go and try it for yourself! read more

There's value in the fact if you want to simply stuff your face, this will do nicely. Even If this was in Las Vegas off strip for example I would totally pass. If this was in Spirit Mountain, I would totally be impressed... that's the calibration one needs to have. There are certainly some fake fillers such as scallop-like deep fried pieces that you should avoid. The langoustines look nice but it's a lot of work and very little reward. But all in all the stir fry, the veggies, the ribs, and battered items work well for the price. I didn't try the sushi TBH but they have a respectable selection. Service is actually fine. It's a buffet and they are crazy busy at most times. Lastly be warned, there are some nice dishes at times and ppl descend on it like vultures... don't even give the staff time to swap out the trays and ppl are picking away. I have been eating here for many years both before and after Covid. Food is good 95% of the time. I am an oyster fan. I usually eat four to seven plates piled high. I also save the shells and take them home. I also take shells that are left in the serving tray by those who take oysters but leave the shells in the tray. I have always done this. Went in for dinner this week and after filling a bag with empty shells I was informed of a "new policy" stating that "no more then five empty shells my be taken home". Don't know why and the person informing of the "new rule" was not able to provide a reason beyond "we use them". Do they thing that I am "stealing food"? They are free to inspect the bag of shells at any time. It is not as though I am attempting to hide anything. The bag is right there on the table. I will continue to visit as the food is usually good and with the amount of oysters that I eat with dinner it is well worth the price,... to me. BTW, the oysters are very good. read more

We came for the weekday lunch buffet, which is a better price than the dinner buffet. I'm assuming they have more and/or tastier food at dinner, but I don't know for sure. Allie asked if she could have a soft serve cone to-go, and they said it was OK. For a buffet. This place is hands down the best I've been to in a while. Cool double fountain as you enter. The service is top notch. Very helpful and eager to serve. When we requested for specific items to be made they brought it to our table on multiple occasions. Sushi & sea food was pleasantly better then what I anticipated. I feel it's hard to find a restaurant to make it right not to mention large quantities. Food was not greasy or overcooked/undercooked. They replenished the buffet area frequently. We went there on Saturday night around 5:30 and got seated promptly. They have lots of food choices and they do refill them quickly. Like many people said they have lots of seafood. This place is definitely quantity over quality. For $25 per person, it's not worth it. Here's why... Oysters and clams got sand in them. Some vegetables dishes I had got rotten veges in it. Really cool place! Sort of like a blast from the past in regards to 2005 buffet culture. We went in at ~8:15pm and they still had all of their food out, and it was fresh. I was afraid we'd go there and since we were going late at night everything would be out or old and that wasn't the case. Everything was clean and the staff were really nice. They Used to be good ten years ago. They need a better cook, The fried fish was impossibly dry inedible. The chicken tasted Like fish. The smoked salmon was not smoked But it was mushy. Inedible. I didn't eat it but instead left it on my plate. The fried shrimp Was weird skinny like a pencil fried shrimp with a tail hanging out. The swai was mushy and cold. I have eaten here a total of three times within the last 4 weeks, twice for lunch, and a 3rd time on Father's day. I just ate there with my daugher, for Father's day which is dinner price all day. We were seated very quickly. Food selection is quite good for a buffet, with lots of variety to choose from. Several different soups, bao, sushi, shrimp, octopus, mussels and shrimp dishes, as well as a sushi selection and lots of deserts and fresh fruit. Overall quality is pretty good. The food was good, not great. Some things were better than others. The general Tso's was pretty good. Fried rice was good. Egg rolls food. Cream cheese wontons were average. Desserts were hit and miss. I really liked the coconut cake. Didn't care for the banana pudding even though that is something I usually like. The salad selection was huge. Our family frequents local buffets in the area. I will critique each of them. Super King Buffet is another favorite one for the family. they all serve similar dishes and are different in small ways. But there are specific reasons we like each. Super King was closed for a while and just opened back up in October 2023. We were glad to find out they reopened. My son's family in Tacoma frequently make the trek to eat here. My parents loved the selections, fresh tasting veggies and cooked bananas. The price is slightly less than the other buffets. Sooooo HAPPY they reopened. I have read all the reviews of how bad it is...and it not..it's the same, and even some of the old workers are still there! It's awesome that they still remember you after years. Food is still yummy as ever!!! All the great stuff with a few new things!! yaaaay! Yes....we were regulars, to the point they knew our kids names, and one of the ladies that would wait on us loved my son, we would always sit in her section!
