    fruit? flies on papaya
    Senbao Y.

food: 5/10 - average atmosphere:0/3- fruit? flies everywhere ayce, only got meat, cuz its fresh/no flies. the large main meats where good, like picanha and the bottom sirloin. but nothing to write home about, the outside crusty pieces were tasty but thats only if you're lucky and get the first few slices of a fresh skewer. Don't get the meats that come in whole small pieces like garlic steak, bacon wrapped chicken, etc they are all super dry. my server was amazing, made me feel well served even though i was in a bad mood. took really long to get done eating though as i had to keep waiting for people to walk around with the meats and theres long gaps inbetween when i would get meat. overall not worth $72, overrated af and also this location has a lot of small flies

Another delicious cut of meat. I can't really see it to remember it, but look at the employee just so willing to smile for my camera.

Well, remember, I knew Fogo just came to Tiger and so I got a chance to go over and and eat and it is a beautiful restaurant and the staff were just simply excellent Real friendly talkative the food of course is the same quality just delicious food. My favorite was the steaks and I enjoyed the chicken as well.

Our reservation was 6:45, got there 6:30 and was seated 7:20. On a Thursday night. The flow of steak service felt inconsistent, which took away from the overall experience. The cheese bread, which used to be a highlight, has changed. It was oily and lacked the light puffy texture I remember. On a positive note, the salad bar was enjoyable, with a good variety and fresh options.

Outstanding vibe at Fogo de Chão PDX, warm, lively, and beautifully lit. Best way to start dessert is with that rich tres leches and burnt meringue. Remember to soak the cake well! That's how it becomes pure velvet. Incredible Crème Brûlée by Regina, cracked sugar and silky heaven! Grateful for Neia keeping every cut of meat flowing nonstop for us! Amazing team all around; they made dinner feel special from start to end. Desserts landed like a finale: Bold, creamy, balanced, unforgettable. Our table felt pampered, never rushed, and always checked on with care. Must say the staff here carries the whole room with pride and warmth. All dishes and moments came with that signature Brazilian hospitality. Regina and Neia truly elevated the night with service and sweetness. If you're in downtown, this is the spot to slow down and enjoy deeply. Nothing feels staged: Everything feels genuine, warm, and delicious. As always, obrigado, Fogo de Chão. You keep setting the bar high.

Wow what a great place . Great service and the food was great . I wish I had not got so full so quick I would have kept eating . The only complaint I have is sitting next to the door where they get the high chairs for the kids. My recommendation is don't sit there. I highly recommend eating at this place . Make your reservation and you get seated quickly.

Ask the Community - Fogo de Chão

Do they still do valet parking?

Not that I have noticed, but better you call them to be sure.

Is this a kid friendly restaurant?

Yes they just walk around with steak and give it to you. as long as your kid likes steak!

How much per adult for dinner?

The Churrasco experience (all you can eat buffet and meat delivered tableside a few bites at a time) runs about $67/person. You can also order full entrees in the $35-$50 range.

Do you know what sauces do they have available?

We asked for A-1 and horseradish and they had both. She named off a few different types of steak sauce, but I've always found them hit-or-miss in restaurants, so we went with a safe standard. I asked for real horse radish and all they had was a…

Is there a bar area with full service? I will be there on business and solo. My hotel is down the street and would love to try this place and not feel outcast eating solo

Yes they do have a full bar!

Curious as to how a delivery quality is?

Depending on what you order, it's still great, but if you want absolute freshness out of the kitchen, order-in. Still worth takeaway though. Personal experience might be different for individuals.

Is it okay to only get the Market Table when the rest of your party gets the Churrasco Experience? Or does your entire table have to get the same thing?

No problem! Each diner can enjoy whatever they choose to eat and drink.

Are they open for Valentine's Day 2021?

Yeah :) and they are giving a 25 gift card to use on your next visit

Can you choose how u want your steak cooked?

Yes they cut they meat based on your preference

What do you get in the "limited" churrasco experience? What does the "limited" churrasco experience cost?

At the time when I heard of this I think it's because they weren't serving a lot of it as to why it was called limited. I could be wrong. It's been a while, but lest we forget we can always contact the restaurant to get immediate answers.

Does the full experience includes seafood and desserts? I read that it doesn't include the best cut of beef such as rib eye nor lamb.

If you pay for the full churrasco experience, all types of meat are included even the ribeye and lamb chops. Dessert and the seafood entrees are extra. Let them know if you are celebrating a special occasion like birthday, anniversary etc., they…

Is lunch menu available for weekend?

Yes er-re-bob! It's steak every day, all night, during the week and on the weekend, lunch! Gauchos eat steak everyday!

Is there a difference between lunch and dinner meals?

Lunch's meats are leftover and overcooked, dinner meat are freshly prepared and done properly.Keep in mind that, you also need to consider the price difference.

I am bringing my 3 year old boy and he wont eat anything do l still have to pay for him?

We are a family friendly restaurant and welcome guests of all ages to dine with us. At this time, we do not offer a children's menu. We offer the same menu and meat selections for all guests. Children 6 and under are complimentary and children 7…

Are the beef ribs also available during lunch hour or is it only available during dinner hours?

We were offered ribs at lunch and brunch as well

What is the price for an adult dinner?

The Full Churrasco experience costs $54.95. It includes the market table and feijoada bar

Is it safe to come to down town Portland? I see on the news car are being attacked by protestors!

Yes, downtown Portland is safe. Like any City, one must always be observant and practice safety. It’s so convenient going to Fogo de Chao because of their valet parking. You literally pull up to door in parking garage entry, and they park your car.…

Anyone know the range price for bottle of both red and white wine, approximately?

I was absolutely in food heaven here. We made a reservation in advance, and wow, I'm so glad we…read moredid! We were provided with complimentary tomato bisque in cute little cups to start off the meal. It had a nice, light spicy kick that immediately got things going. We ordered the clam chowder with bone marrow, and this was absolutely the best clam chowder we have ever had. The dish comes with a cooked bone marrow on top that you're meant to scrape into the chowder, along with five medium clams still in their shells. Remove everything from the shells, scrape that glorious bone marrow into the chowder, and give it a really good stir. Keep the bone in the bowl for the extra flavor. Then enjoy what might be the best clam chowder of your life. We also ordered the beef tongue, which was another amazing appetizer. The combination of horseradish, tiny potato salad, capers, crispy little pork rind pieces, and the sauce on top of the beef tongue was SO flavorful. I was, indeed, back in divine food heaven. For our entrees and sides, we ordered the green beans, skirt steak, and pork chop. The green beans had an Asian-inspired preparation with fish sauce, cashews, and Thai basil. They were incredibly flavorful, with the Thai basil adding a nice freshness. The skirt steak was perfectly cooked to medium and seasoned beautifully with smoky flavors. The accompanying chimichurri added a fresh, herby contrast. And then there was the pork chop, which was a hugeeeee surprise! Our waitress told us it was one of their most popular dishes, and now I understand why. It was huge, perfectly cooked, beautifully grilled, and served with a slightly sweeter sauce that worked so well with the pork. We ended the meal with sorbet, which was fantastic and a refreshing way to finish everything. My life is complete!

Consistently one of my favorite restaurants because of their incredible quality, flavors (Spanish,…read moreFrench, Italian-influenced Argentinian fare), and atmosphere - this was a new experience with take-out, some of the finest to be found. Authors & James Beard award-winning Chefs Gabrielle Quiñónez & Greg Denton have honed Portland's love of all things local (seasonal & freshly sourced ingredients) within a menu that maintains integrity across seasons. Whether seated "around the (wood) fire" with their massive custom grill, in the atrium, at the bar top, booth, back oyster bar, private dining, or (more recently) a vined patio - every area is primed for new and wonderful memories. Their wine program (although abbreviated) is one of my favorite in the city, heavy on Willamette picks but rounded with exquisite (but generally affordable) European & South American bottles. I sampled five courses, for take-out this visit - overall (service/ambiance, along with food degradation during transport), I'd give 3 stars, but across multiple visits (otherwise dine-in), restaurant maintains 4 stars. Servers are taking the stars for service. A favorite of mine, their BELGIAN ENDIVE SALAD is seasonally updated with cherries/sweet atop the usual endive/bitter, bleu/tart/smooth, and the texture is something fun with candied pecans & mild vinaigrette (buttery EVOO) blending with each electrifying bite. This presentation was not its freshest (endive), but could have turned during transportation. The reason I'll keep coming back: CLAM CHOWDER w SMOKED MARROW BONE is similarly elemental - each ingredient shining in its own right, but symphonic altogether. The soup itself is thin - not too filling, but incredibly rich in flavor (a touch of white wine? maybe B&W pepper?), showcasing large delicately cooked clams & melted marrow that seasons tiny cubed carrots & potatoes, onion & pork - sliced jalapeño leaves a back-end heat that's lasting & warm. This is the place you order a meat with some fat on it, so bring some friends and plan for sharing. Anything cooked on the Ann Arbor grill is better-than-basic, but I'd rather a filet that's pan-seared & oven-finished (although DO ASK for their signature Bordelaise, which is a gorgeous compliment to steak with red wine, and counterpoint to their exceptional chimichurri). To pair - FRIED RUSSET POTATOES - rustic, not a touch overcooked, but entirely original & delicious with their with horseradish aioli + dash of dill. Flavors are vaguely familiar, like an avant-garde ranch - always on-point. Dessert was SUBLIME - if only I recalled this little slice of buckwheat-toffee-cake's name. Ice cream took the heat during travel, but I imagine it's even better at the source. Points lost on service during carry-out, next time I'll send a representative.

We were celebrating my wife's cousin's birthday. El Gaucho restaurant is located on the street level of The Benson Hotel on SW Broadway. You have the option to valet your car or right across the street you will find a local parking lot or if you are lucky you can search for street parking. As you walk in you are greeted by a door man, the staff we interacted with were over the top friendly and engaging. The interior is swanky with a wood tone, white tablecloths but not stuffy. We were seated quickly. The booth was on the street side wall near the bar area with open seating in the middle of the space, but know that the booth was a snug fit, in our next visit we will see if we can reserve an open table for a little more elbow room. This aside, you are entertained by the staff's theatrics around the old school serving theater, the flaming sword brochette is worth the view. They also had live music that gave that extra touch an ambiance. Our food, wow, you know the saying, you get what you pay for, well it was worth every cent. We ordered the Prawn Linguine, very ample serving of Linguine and very tasteful Prawns, we shared the wedge salad, it was very well prepared, I had the 14oz Peppercorn, New York Steak with a side order of the Wicked Shrimp, large Prawns sautéed in a spicy sauce, (its spicy) so beware, I loved them even with the kick. Our party also ordered the Standard 14oz New York, with sautéed mushrooms and spicy Brussel Sprouts. On top of all of this great food, we enjoyed the garlic toast, its amazingly tasty. We washed it all down with a 2014 Tempranillo-Malbec, a perfect red wine from our family members collection. If you have not experienced El Gaucho, don't wait too long, you are missing out.

I had the best tableside salad here last year, and our waiter even personalized it by adding extra garlic. Unfortunately, things fell short during my most recent visit. The salad this time was very bland and barely garlicky, even though we specifically asked for extra garlic. Last year I didn't get a chance to try their off-menu porterhouse and was planning to order it this time. Unfortunately, they no longer offer it. The only off-menu option now is a sampler of three different cuts for over $100, which isn't worth it to me. I ended up going with the ribeye cooked medium rare as usual, but it was surprisingly chewy this time and even made my gums bleed a bit. One small thing I wish they would change: at other locations, the personalized menu is kept in a plastic sleeve, but here they roll it up and tie it with a ribbon. A common issue I've experienced at El Gaucho most of the time is that when the server pours water, it often drips onto the personalized menu. I hope they can be more careful since it gets messy and ruins something many guests like to keep as a souvenir. There has also been a huge price increase across the menu since my visit last year.

Their space is very colorful and has a lot of fun energy. Their menu is pretty focused but the items all sound very tasty. We went with an Empanada of the day, The Cubano, and the Bandeja. Their focused menu certainly paid off when you see how fresh and well-executed their dishes were. The empanada of the day was a mushroom and cheese. It's made fresh so the cheese was nice and gooey. Their crust is different from what I'm used to. It seems to be a mix of maize and cornmeal rather than flour. I think it gave a nice crunchy crust and slightly chewy inside. A bit small for the price though. The Cubano was again made fresh. Bread was nice and crispy. Inside was filled with hearty meat and cheese. A solid sandwich, especially when paired with their pico de gallo. The start of the meal was easily the Bandeja. You can choose between chicken and flat iron steak for the Bandeja; we went with the steak and we weren't disappointed. It's cooked medium-rare, making the steak super tender. The outside crust was well-seasoned and flavorful. The Plato came with a lot of other tasty things like a perfect over-easy egg, rice and beans, avocado, and the best chicharron I've had. It's small but packed a punch. The outside was crispy all around while the fat layer was still melt-in-your-mouth soft. This dish had everything, perfect for sharing. The staff were attentive and friendly. Happy hour is from 3-5PM on weekdays. All in all, we had an amazing meal and will be spreading the word of their goodness for sure.

I'm not a Colombian food connoisseur by any means so I chose this restaurant purely on reviews. I appreciated the cardboard containers vs plastic but it did soak through. The bags it was packed up in kept it from becoming a mess. The smells were amazing and I had to taste as I plated. Everything was amazing, very flavorful, tender overall and large portions. Sadly, the carne was a little tough and I would not order this again. The Estofado de Carne had a hot sauce I had on the side. It was a very hot and delicious habanero sauce that was amazing! Great food, we'll be back for sure!!

Good GOD! I have never had Colombian food before, but I had heard good things about this spot…read more Came here on a date, and after having a couple of beers at the nearby Barrio, we both wanted something to eat... enter Que Bacano! I looked at the menu for a while, and EVERYTHING looked amazing. I couldn't decide! I eventually settled on the Arepas Relleno, which is a thick corn tortilla that is fried and split down the middle, then filled with absolute deliciousness! It's a bit of a fragile eat (mine was falling apart as soon as I picked it up), but dear lord is it tasty. My mouth is literally watering as I write this, remembering how good it was. That's saying something! The gentleman working there was very friendly, and kept speaking to me in what sounded like Spanish (I clearly don't speak Spanish). He soon realized I had little to no idea what he was saying, started laughing and apologized after switching to English. All the guys that had been in line before me were speaking Spanish with him, so I get it. Anyway, not much to say about the ambiance as it's a food cart, but overall a very positive experience and I will DEFINITELY be back. I gotta try everything else!

If you're looking for authentic Colombian food like arepas and pandebonos, this is the place!…read more I absolutely loved it. We're from California, but we came to Portland and honestly, we haven't even found Colombian food this delicious back in California. Everything was so authentic, fresh, and flavorful. Definitely one of the best Colombian food spots we've ever tried. Highly recommend!

Was lucky enough to get help from Martin in terms of what to order…read more We got: two vegan options (campesino and vegetable). To that, we added chicken (extremely popular with the crowd) cheese (also popular, though not as popular as the chicken), plus passonfruit, lulo, and blackberry juices at 25% sweetness. We got the juices to mix with fizzy water for people who wanted a non-alcoholic cocktail experience, but saw them going into a lot of alcoholic cocktails by the end of the evening. I found the crispy corn exterior of the Colombian empanada to be a vast improvement over other variations, which are a bit too blah and doughy. Their cilantro sauce was perfection and much less oily than the standard. Individual sizes are generous. Unless you have a very hungry crowd and no sides, 2 empanadas per person will probably be more than enough. We froze the leftover empanadas and they are still delicious weeks later. In short: Absolutely perfect for catering an event.
