THIS IS THE WORST LAUNDRY MAT IN SAN DIEGO *DO NOT GO THERE* Long but definitely worth the read! washers suck they stink and do not wash your clothes at all! The employees are horrible especially the idiotic a hole that looks like a skater or something. First i had to search the washers to find one that does not smell like something died in it, they don't have any single load washers so they rip you off by charging you 250 for a so called double loader which is smaller than my kitchen sink. we add 5 1/2 caps of tide soap and 5 caps of Downy softener right after we put the soap in we see the washer sucking all the suds out so the clothes basically just rolled around in water.That was in the 5 load washer with most of our colored clothes. i put the rest of our colored clothes in a three load washer. This time i waited to put the soap in until it finished the pre wash or whatever happened to the big load so that it could roll around with some suds in it we put 3 1/2 caps in which was more than enough to sufficiently wash the clothes as was the afore mentioned load. There was only room enough to put 1cap of softener which is extremely stupid who only puts one cap of softener in 3 loads of laundry? Then i do my whites in the smallest 2 load washer on the planet and since there isn't a single load washer there i couldn't even do all of my whites. We do this load like the previous one and i go check on the other loads. Neither one of the loads had suds and extremely little water, they were only filled 3/4 of the way with clothes so they were not over filled and you should have been able to see at least a little less than a quarter of water in them but nope, nothing. So my son and i go searching for an employee to tell them what is happening. Mind you, this is my first time here so i didn't know who to look for,usually at laundry mats is a little lady be it Asian, Mexican, black, white, whatever, but it's usually a little woman am i right? I go around looking for someone who looks like they work there i go down every row my son looks out the back and the front doors i knock on the employees only door and I go stand at the desk, no one shows I'm even saying pretty loudly is there an employee here asking patrons if they have seen a worker and nope again. So i go back to the 5 load and I'm starting to get pretty upset now because it's still doing the same i look up and i see someone at the desk finally. I bring him to the 5load and tell him what i told you. By that time it was already beginning the rinse cycle he said it didn't have suds or water because it was rinsing i explained to him its been like that since the beginning and he said that he never had problems with the big washers and they were supposed to wash like that in so many words and he goes back to the desk. That load finishes and it has absolutely no smell of tide or Downy i can normally smell it as soon as i open the door all the other times I've washed clothes and i wash them exactly the same. They just smelt like dirty wet clothes so i think OK let me see if the 3 load washer smells like its supposed to then i will take a sample of the two so he can compare. it was my intention for him to refund the money or put more quarters in and use their soap whichever would have been fine. But the 3 loader was the same there was no smell of cleanliness in those clothes either. My whites finish while my son and i are discussing the matter so i check them to see if they are the same and once again no smell of soap but an overwhelming smell of bleach and they are definitely NOT clean. I am very upset i take some socks from the whites to show him they are not clean and do not smell like soap and he said that he can't do anything about it he wouldn't even smell them or anything and maybe if it was only 1 washer he could help but since it's all of them he's not going to do anything.i ask him if there's a manager that i can speak to and he says he will call her but she's gonna say the same which she did. then he proceeds to give me major attitude and says why didn't i get him sooner if something was wrong i said i was looking for someone the whole time but i was expecting a little Asian lady or something and he says oh so i can't work here because I'm white and a bunch of other crap i tell him i couldnt care less about his nationality and that's not what i was saying i wasn't being rude or mean or anything then he says to take my clothes and my stereotypes and leave! I wasn't going to lug around wet clothes so i just gave up and put them in the dryer so i could get out of there. I have had a caregiving and housekeeping business for a living for over 14 years and I'm very good at it believe me i know how to wash clothes i can tell when they are washed properly and when they are not. Please save your sanity money and soap and do not go there!! read more

When I first started going here 5 years ago the owner lady(Juanita) was very nice to me and even said I could come any day of the week to plug in my laptop. I hadn't been there in awhile but recently started having to go there for my laundrey again, I came back because the owner was so nice before. The other day I got there in the morning with my girlfriend, I plugged in my laptop and she plugged in her cell phone. Within minutes the owner came over to complain even though we are two separate people, two separate customers and we each needed to plug something in. If she doesn't have enough plugs in her store that is not our problem. Due to my medical conditions it was taking me especially long to gather my things and plan my day, I didnt even have my laptop turned on half the time because my head hurt. Just as my girldfriend and I were discussing where we would go after we left there the owner came up to me again and said we had stayed too long. It was very rude and I feel like she lied to me because she told me i could come any day of the week before. Her excuse is that other people might have wanted to use the booth in the corner, which is hardly ever the case, if anyone wanted to use the plug or sit there they could have, there were plenty of seats there and still one plug available after I disconnected my girlfriends phone from their socket. I understand they are "trying to run a business" because they repeated that phrase to me several times between the owner and her son. They need to work on their customer service skills and being nicer to their customers and maybe they will get repeat business. I was obviosly not feeling well most of the time that I was there that day but not once did she ask me how I was doing or if I was okay. In fact she ignored me until she felt like complaining about her electricity. She is just a bitter old lady that has become selfish and self-centered because the media is telling everyone the economy is down and everyone needs to save. She has one good employee that I have met named Joel, he works hard and deserves more but she pays him minimum wage, what a joke. She should make Joel manager to replace her grumpy face. Also, she had her son kick me out on the following visit because she cant face the truth and get real, he wasnt even there and doesnt know how bitchy his mother was that day. These people don't know that you should never argue with the customer and that the customer is always right. Its okay karma will come back on them, they wont be able to keep any repeat customers if they keep acting like this and kicking people out for doing what they invited us to do. read more

Back before I was finally smart enough to get a linen service, I used to come here every week to wash loads of sheets and towels for my practice (massage therapist, HHP). I finally found Super Laundry after getting fed up at other laundromats that didn't have an attendant, wouldn't refund my money for broken machines nor have a working restroom. I remember the first day I came in to Super Laundry, the attendant (who is the owner's son) was helping these little old ladies who couldn't figure out how to work the machines. He was extremely patient with them and I was not only impressed with his demeanor but I was very happy to find a laundromat with someone on staff! There are a LOT of washing machines...from super load to regular load- and two walls full of dryers. This place is pretty clean, has free wifi, couches, kid play section, chairs, machines (if you're into junk food) and a working bathroom. It's also in a shopping center with a Starbucks, grocery store and a sushi restaurant that's not too bad of place to eat if you want some lunch. A previous reviewer mentioned smoking inside, there's NO SMOKING allowed inside the laundromat. With all the extra goodies, people will try and hang out without doing any laundry. They are strict about not letting you hang around if you don't have any laundry to do- so don't think you can set up shop and kick it here all daylong as a previous reviewer got kicked out for doing. The funny thing is, when you come here enough on the same day/time of the week, you start talking to the people who you are seeing often and pretty soon, this place is like an ongoing episode of Cheers, except there's no alcohol. So, the feeling of community is great. I don't need to come here for work laundry anymore, but come once a week to wash my clothes. Our washer broke at home a couple years ago and we just haven't gotten a new one. Kind of hard to do when you enjoy socializing at the laundromat! read more

Where do I begin...this place has gone downhill so bad in the last year. I've been a customer here for years and after a few nights ago I think I'm officially done. This place used to be the cleanest laundromat I'd been to in San Diego, and now it's just a run down cockroach infested dirty experience. It really sucks because It's a good location proximity wise to where I live. I was talking to a few other regulars my last night there and they all pretty much had the same consensus on the place now. The staff don't seem to care either. I swear if it's not a line of out of order signs down one aisle it's an employee with their phone out watching a show with air pods in oblivious to what's going on in the store. I'm not trying to get anyone fired either so I'm omitting those details. I will however say I miss the staff they used to have that really kept the place clean and constantly talked to customers always making sure we were having a good experience. I'd bring it up to the owner, but this is a constant trend no matter the time or day of the week I've gone in the past months of recent. So I'm sure they know and don't care at this point. It just really sucks to have to find a new place to do my laundry and to see just how much this place has fallen apart. Seriously bummed but I can't keep paying to try to clean clothes in such a rundown place. read more

The layout is great. Equipment is good. There's staff available all the time. With the play/living area it's has seen better day. I like the wi-fi. The owner is an older woman. She and her son work there at any given day. He is pleasant. She's the weak link. She's totally nasty. After a minor altercation I told her if she hates people so much why own a business????!!! You can tell that someone once put love into this place by the amenities. But with her being there she poisons the place. If it wasn't for her I'd rate it higher. read more

I don't go to the landromat often so I dreaded the trip there, but this was surprisingly a pleasant trip. There were plenty of machines, and big enough to where I can get done with my laundy in one quick hour (drying included) they have a nice play area for the kids and a lounge area to relax while the machines do their thing. One thing I was a little icky about was the couches...they seemed really worn and dirty eek....maybe they should replace those. read more
