I have used Fairlane a few times for dry cleaning, and once for alterations. Angela (I think that's her name) is great! The other employee would not give me a receipt, and could not handle the fact that I wanted a comforter re-done. (It did not seem to have been cleaned at all, but the re-do was fine). The dry cleaning is done at another site, and this place does not seem to have that much business. It is too bad, because it is a great location, and San Carlos deserves better. read more

I went to a nearby cleaner in La Mesa with work shirts I had to glue patches bc I was in a rush. Now that I have time I tried to get them stitched and the other place told me they can't do it with glue. This was my 2nd stop not only did they at least try to help me, before I got home she called and said the patches are sewn come pick up. Ill be using this place from now on. For the other place... at least try to help me. So they lost a client and Fairlane gained one. read more

Generally very good service, well-priced. You must pay in advance or pay extra. The only minor beef I have is they were closed Christmas Eve (if there was a sign, it was posted inside the store behind the counter-- the only reason I know is because that's where their Closed New Year's sign is) so we didn't get our nice church clothes. read more

This place has comparable and possibly even better prices than most dry cleaners in the area. It's usually a quick turn-around time. Definitely go on their website before your visit in case you can use one of the coupons on there. read more

They ruined my blazer and offered me $3.50 in return for a $100 blazer. Terrible service. I've had the same blazer dry cleaned multiple times elsewhere and there were no issues. They reached out and paid to replace my blazer. It's good when a company takes ownership of a mistake and makes it right again. read more

They do a good job cleaning and have coupons occasionally but the young girls who work there are clueless and couldn't even find my clothes- with the invoice! The main woman is great however. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. The owner Tom Mullin is such a horrible little man, i will never go here again. i took in a blouse to be dry cleaned (per the tag) 2 months ago, when they ruined it - because they admitted to laundering it instead of dry cleaning it) they said they'd try to fix it. Then they said they couldn't fix it. The owner spent 2 months avoiding me and my calls, and never made the attempt to contact me despite his staff swearing up and down that he would. When I finally found him in his shop, I started asking how it was possible for the blouse to have been cleaned by them previously without a problem, and this time the ellaborate pleated/ruffled collar was ruined and ironed out and flattened. He said that he had no idea, and didn't know what else they could have done differently. When i told him I thought that they were professionals and this was their expertise, he told me I was full of **** and proceeded to tell me that I was "so stupid" and that my brain wasn't working properly. Do yourself a favor and never go here again. read more

Love this place. I print out the coupons from their website and use them every time I bring clothes in to get dry cleaned. You do have to pre-pay, which I don't mind at all. The turn around time for getting your clothes back is very quick. If you live or work in San Carlos, I highly recommend this place. read more

I had to return 2x to pick up my suits that were not repaired the first time. I spent $50 dollars on dry cleaning and tailoring. Then when I returned they wanted to charge me another $6 for buttons that came off when they dry cleaned my suits and they couldn't find them. read more

They lost a dress shirt and said they would offer a refund or a credit if I filled out a claim form. It's been months since I've submitted the claim form and I've visited them in person multiple times. They have an excuse every time as to why they can't give store credit. Take your business elsewhere. read more

They ruined my dress slacks. I specifically requested "NO PRESS" and they did it anyway. Written right on the ticket. I asked if they read the tickets and she said yes. Then I asked why they pressed anyway and her response was, "because most people want it pressed". Like they knew better than what I wanted? No, they don't bother reading the slips. I am only giving this cleaners one star because you cannot give 0 or negative stars! Two weeks in a row I have dropped off my cleaning and at least one of my items is not ready. Ask the girl working where the other items are....She doesn't know. No one called or sent a note. She didn't bother to check to see if all the items were there. They didn't bother to call when they said they would and also told me that my sweater (which is black) was too dirty to be cleaned so they didn't bother. They do a good job. They always have a coupon every two weeks in the local mailer which helps.

Dealt with two ladies who were both extremely unprofessional. They acted like they did not care about my issues at all. The first time I went to pick up my 3 items was the day after they were supposed to be ready for pickup, my dress was not there. They told me I would have to either drive across town to go and get it or come back tomorrow and get it. I came back the next day and as I was taking my dress out to the car I realized that it was ripped. I took it back inside and showed the lady working who then told me it's not even ripped, just the stitching is?! It was ripped either way, enough that I could not wear it in its condition. She said she would fix it and to come back two days later, because of it being closed for thanksgiving I didn't go back for about a week and when I went in the lady looked at my receipt and before even looking at my dress told me it's not done because the other lady has been too busy. I told her it was supposed to be done last week and she told me I could just take it how it is (with the rip still there)! I will never go there again even though it is literally across the street from my home! read more
